History

Established in 2010.

I began rewiring hot rods and classics from scratch with my own hand built harnesses and fuse blocks. Soon after I began integrating security systems, custom switching systems, and accessory circuits per customer request. I worked at many shops around the LA area, honing my skills along the way, building on my skill-​set, utilizing only the best aspects of each shop.

I then decided to branch out on my own to perform installations and repairs the only way I knew how — The Right Way! And so Doc’s Garage was born.

Born and raised right here in the San Fernando Valley. Started out tinkering with cars at 16 years old. Has a degree in electronics and started out in the automotive A/​V business. Shifted focus to the Hot Rod industry and has been there, honing his skills ever since. Electronics has always fascinated him, and is now second nature.

Professional, detail oriented, friendly, knows how to handle high-​end cars as well as daily drivers, keeps a clean shop, and has all the proper tools.

The Doc can do it all! I came to him about a year ago to have my 1966 Datsun roadster rewired with a 12 volt system. And man did he deliver. He hooked up my original refurbished gauges, new alternator and installed all of the sending units needed for the gauges to work. As well as replacing my starter with an electronic one. When I gave him the car, nothing worked. I got my car back with all the lights and gauges functioning like they should and my car running. All at a fair price.
A couple of weeks ago I brought him my car to install a full exhaust (front to back) as well as check and replace my drum brakes and flush and replace the clutch fluids and gear oil. As well as install a couple of speakers and Bluetooth amp receiver. Needless to say he handled it all within a couple of days because he knew I needed it back for a show. He even picked up my car from the body shop for me because it was close to his shop. And gave me a ride to pick it up another time. He goes out of his way to help you out and is available most of the time for any questions you may have. The service and pricing can’t be beat. I will be bringing my cars to him for years to come.
I highly recommend the Doc for any electrical or mechanical things you wish to have done on your car.

Doc (Jason) worked wonders on my 1972 C20, completely rewiring it from head to toe. This meant replacing the (messed up) factory harness with a custom rewire, plus some out of the ordinary (e.g., dual battery setup and switching). He upgraded the headlamps to LED and I can actually drive the silly thing at night now! Sorted out the balled up indicator lights/​turn signals as well PLUS got rid of a bunch of superfluous stuff (camper wiring, trailer brakes etc.) that the original owner had installed in ’72. Oh, yeah, fixed the 40+ year-​old windshield washers and wired up thermostatically controlled electric fans.
The guy is honest, fair, and stands behind his work. Nice guy to boot. I highly recommend Jason to anyone with wiring demons or just wanting some custom work done.

I will try to cut to the chase: Jason is great at what he does, and appears to enjoy his work.
I found him on craigslist after 2 weeks of attempting to learn the craft of «classic car electrical systems» on youtube and various websites… with total failure. He was quite human, not making feel embarrassed about my attempts to bring my early bronco alive.
As my project evolved, he made himself available by phone and in person to correct my errors.
He will be my number one contact regarding electrical issues as they come up.

If you need your classic car or truck to be rewired this is the place to go. I’m very picky on who works on my 56 Ford F100. Jason did an outstanding job on my truck clean installation and recommended some upgrades which turned out to be the best thing I’ve done. Jason is very knowledgeable has a very clean shop and very professional. This is the place to go to get your classic rewired.

This guy is great! Took my ’66 Chevelle to Jason for a wiring issue no one seemed to be able to fix and he figured it out in a couple of hours. Changed my tail lights to LED and my headlights to HID in a few days and they work is perfectly. Thanks again man.

Outstanding service of the highest quality!!! I was recommended by a friend who told me that Doc’s treats your classic car as if it was his own. He wasn’t kidding. I’m cautious about leave my classic anywhere, but there is no need to worry. Doc (Jason) completed my car ahead of schedule and even did a few other needed adjustments without adding on to the bill. His prices are very reasonable, especially when you add in the high degree of quality and professionalism. I will not hesitate to recommend him to my classic car owning friends and I will return if I ever need any work done on my baby. Thanks Doc.

Jason was referred to me by my mechanic for my 1969 Mustang Mach 1. He installed an aftermarket radio, amp and speakers. I wanted everything to look stock, and I wanted it to sound great. And I had a budget. His work was 1st rate, and was competitively priced for all the equipment he recommended. Where Jason really exceeded the competition was in executing the custom speaker boxes in the front of the car. He did beautiful work, and maintained the integrity of my classic muscle car. What puts Jason above the rest, was that 11 months into a 12 month manufacturer’s warranty on my radio unit, the unit failed. I called Jason and he sent the unit back to the manufacturer and got them to send a replacement unit, and then installed it without charging me any additional fees.
