CROOK– STAY AWAY. Made an appointment with this guy to come out to fix my heater. On the day he scheduled to come, he no-​shows, saying that the part I needed was not in stock. Seems like a professional would have checked with the supplier PRIOR TO making the appointment to ensure he could pick it up and make the appointment.
Decided to give him another chance on the next day. One hour before the appointment he texts me complaining that I do not live in Studio City, which I told him was the vicinity where I live. I live in the Hollywood Hills area, which is quite expansive, so I usually say Studio City which is the closest neighborhood to where I live and is literally 1 mile from my house. I also gave him my exact address on the same day. Again, if he was a professional, he should have looked up the exact location if a 1 mile differential is a huge deal.
So I call him and he’s giving me all kinds of excuses regarding why 1 mile is a huge deal, and complaining that the quote he gave me was for a Studio City address (which is 1 mile from where I live). He then tells me to go find someone else.
Totally unprofessional and a pain to deal with. Go find a real professional shop.

Just had a unit fixed techs were in and out they did there job ice cold air that’s what we wanted.

WOW! The guy is insane, he came back and messed with my AC on the roof of the condo complex out of spite! 2 years later!!! Serious nut case!
I’m gonna sue your ass Ara! All this could have been avoided if he owned up to his mistake!

This is my 2^nd experience with Ara — two different properties. He’s honest, trustworthy and true to his clients. My newer (6 years) system was sucking it up — he got to my property, took a look, was able to quickly diagnose it — AND he got my fat ass to climb up on the roof to SHOW me how to maintain it for future ease. what the hell else could I want? By the way, 2 years ago, he serviced my 30+ year old package unit on my other home — diagnosed the leak quickly (after I had called two other jokers) and it’s running wonderfully. I highly recommend ARA for all HVAC related needs!

I’ve called Ara twice in the last couple years and got great service both times. I have two AC units and two heating units at my house. Two years ago, he fixed both of the AC units which were no longer blowing cold air and rerouted the condensation piping for both of them. Last month I had him back when one of the heating units stopped working. He found the problem, went to his supplier to get a part, and came back and fixed it the same day. If I run into anymore HVAC issues, Ara will be my first call and he should be yours as well!

This was a first class experience. I had some apprehension going in as we recently moved into this house and wasn’t sure if we were an easy mark for someone to come in and claim that we needed a massive repair.
Ara was great. Professional, courteous, and not only knows what he’s doing but is great at being able to explain it. Fixed our Lennox Elite; knew exactly which wire our electrician had wired wrongly on the thermostat.
Then I said, hey, can you come look at the pilot on our pool heater and … we actually discovered there was a gas leak! He fixed it and then proceeded to have to fix the mess the previous technician had made.
All at a very fair price. I’m totally happy with it all and will definitely call him next time there’s a problem. And as a homeowner, figure it’s just a matter of time!

Ara has been servicing our corporate building for the last three years. He is always available when he says he’s going to be and on time. Moreover, he’s fair in his pricing and doesn’t do or recommend anything that doesn’t need to be done. I would highly recommend using him for any air conditioning or heating needs you require.

Ara is fantastic. We came home from vacation to find our AC broken and our house baking on Sunday night. We called Monday morn and Ara came right away, fixed everything beautifully, and then did way more beyond the repair to help our system run better. I can’t imagine a better experience. The price was great, the service impeccable… and he’s the nicest guy! Would recommend to anyone! Awesome!!!

Ara is honest, dependable, and knowledgeable. What more can you ask for? He will also make recommendations to make your HAVC run better. I’m new to Studio City and this past winter my heat wasn’t working. Ara came over diagnosed that the computer board was dead. Replaced it the next day and its been running great ever since. He also recommended that I relocate the air filter from outside the house to inside. Which he did at a very reasonable price.
After one of the recent earthquakes my gas wasn’t working. I leave for work early in the morning so I figured I’d call Ara and get his voicemail and let him know what is going with my gas. To my surprise a half asleep Ara answered the phone at 0530. I felt terrible about waking him, but he explained that it was the auto-​shutoff valve that tripped. And then told me how to reset it. Now that’s customer service.
And finally, a couple of weeks ago the temp was climbing into the 90s so when I got home from work I turned on the a/​c. The unit was hardly cooling. Ara came out the next day and diagnosed it needed Freon. Charged the system.
Bottom-​line, if you’re looking for a honest, dependable, knowledgeable HVAC guy who charges reasonable prices – look no further.

Ara Aprahamian is honest, efficient, and thorough. He is quite easy to communicate with (we did most of our communicating via text). He showed up when he said he would, fixed the problem for a reasonable price and was very easy to work with. Highly recommend.

Just received Ara’s services for the second time in two years. He’s very skilled and honest, and fast. Both times, he diagnosed the problem very quickly and made the repair. He doesn’t up-​sell any unneeded services and even tells me if there is something I can do myself to save a repair call. Would highly recommend his services and will continue to use him for any HVAC needs in the future. I live in the Sherman Oaks area.

We have been struggling for several months with a repairman that just couldn’t figure out why our heat was turning off after a few minutes. To make matters worse, he didn’t return calls or show up when said he was going to.
Ara was the exact opposite. He was clean, professional, and reliable. During his first visit, he came and gave us a quote for what repairs were needed. We decided to have him do the repair and he returned a couple of days later. The repair took much longer than expected but Ara stuck with it until he finished the repair and he didn’t increase his quote! Wonderful!
We will use Ara again and will recommend him to our friends.

Ara is great, we called him to check on our heating and AC unit. He was very polite and professional when you called him. He was able to come right away on such short notice.
Once he arrived, he knew exactly what was wrong. He solved the problem, he made sure everything was working before he left, provided recommendations for the future, as well as answered all the questions we had. We will definitely call him again!

Ara was fantastic. I needed someone to look at my heating/​AC units and Ara was able to come right out and after being in the attic for nearly an hour going over things, gave a thorough account of what we needed to have done. The work we did need done was with a roofer– not with him. He honestly let us know that we could fix a few things, but it wouldn’t be worth the cost. He was thorough, quick to respond and super reasonable. We’d definitely call him again!

I tried installing a thermostat myself, which I was unsuccessful at. Called another technician, who failed to fix my problem and created extra ones as he went along. After three days of no air and no luck with technician 1, I called Ara.
From our first conversation, I could tell that Ara was a professional. He made an appointment for a Friday at 11am, and even showed up early. He quickly found out what the problem was and had my air running in less than 30 minutes. He took the time to explain what he did and made sure everything was working properly. His pricing was very fair as well.

Ara did a great job replacing the motor on my a/​c on one of the hottest days in August.
He was a total pro, showed up, diagnosed the problem, got the part he needed quickly and got my a/​c back up and running in a timely fashion.
He also fixed the problems that the initial installer (NRG! who were btw, terrible) created with their poor workmanship.

There isn’t too much more that I can add to the orgy of A++ reviews that Ara has already received. (What’s up with one-​star Eve!?) Let me just say that in a sea of HVAC crooks, Ara is a beacon of hope. Ara is prompt, courteous, professional, good-​natured, über-​competant, honest, and just an all-​round great guy. Don’t waste your time with anyone else.

I couldn’t be happier with Ara’s professionalism and friendliness from our first phone conversation on Friday to when he showed up at my home on Monday as scheduled. Within 10mins of troubleshooting, he identified the bad part which was the smart gas valve and explained how it should work. He quoted a reasonable price and even took care of extending a ½″ gas pipe out of the furnace for safety purpose as well as replacing my return air filter. Ara is my go-​to guy, highly recommend!

I called Ara after One Hour Heating and Air Conditioning left us with a $ 1600 bill, a not working unit and now telling us now we needed a new unit that they would credit us for (another $ 7200)
He came and found a broken blower wheel and told us we did need to replace our 31 year old unit, which I was not surprised at. My husband climbed on the roof with him and could see how bad it was.
Ara is as he seems in his video, a regular honest guy, who does does a good job at a fair price. Our new unit was half the cost of One Hour’s. We also then replaced all of the duct work and we still were under One Hour who didn’t even talk about duct work by thousands of dollars.
Ara was on time and left everything each day clean and took care to cover everything on the roof for rain. he even cleaned the driveway of tire marks from the truck.
He is a great hardworking guy and our new go to guy for heating, air and electrical.
