Totally love this place! I come for the gourmet candy apples, my fav is the rocky road with marshmallows. They also have chocolate dipped strawberries and chocolate dipped marshmallows– what a great combination. When I heard they also do chocolate dipped ice cream bars, I knew this would be my fav place to come! The store manager is such a sweetheart, and very attentive to her customers. All around, no complaints here and that’s why they’ve been in business for 15 yrs. Keep rocking!

5÷8÷16 — Rachael the owner contacted me same day of of my review and apologized for the mix up. Walked in today and got my proper change. Turns out a new employee just rung me up incorrectly! All is well and I will continue to come here. 5 Stars for the great management and goodies.
I use to come here probably twice a month when I lived in the area. Today I swung by to the Verizon and thought hey I’ll get some sweets since I’m here. Ordered 8 chocolate dipped oreos and a small chocolate with oreos crumbles on a stick. The girl who asissted me didnt even bother asking if i needed help. Had to ask if i should get help from the other girls or was she able too? She responds: «i can help» okay so i repeated what i wanted more than 5 times because she couldnt get it all in one pick up apparently. anyways when checking out she said $ 56. Didn’t click until I walked out, but what? 8 bucks per oreo?! Noticed I wasn’t even given a receipt. If that’s the correct price this place really changed and it’s more of a rip off than anything. I’ll be back later today to see if I was charged correctly. If i dont update this review well the price was 56 bucks lol.

The cheapest and best candy apples ever. They provide a decently sized apples with very full coatings and toppings. Have them cut it and you will enjoy it much better.

I am definitely a fan. I had a chocolate dipped banana which is my Favs. Nice big location. Friendly employees. Eveything always looks delicious. The store is very clean andin order. Definitly will be back :)

I found this tremendous shop on the bottom floor of the Westfield Mall in West Covina. Selection of chocolate covered green apples is off the hook. I have been here at least 6 times trying a different apple on each visit. My favorite is the white chocolate with coconut flakes. The chocolate covered strawberries are huge, both white and dark chocolate chocolate with some cool. They also sell boxed candies which I have yet to try but I bet they would make great gifts, especially this time of year. The store is very clean and smells great, the staff is on point and the smell of chocolate is intoxicating

I found a coupon online for 10% off of any purchase. I went to the store and spent nearly $ 500.00. When the coupon was presented the young girl working there promptly called the owner who said they would not honor the coupon. They did offer me a free apple which I declined but should have accepted and then told them what they could do with it. It is not the money but the principle. There is NO WAY I would ever shop at this particular or any other Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory locations.
The coupon did NOT have an expiration date on it and the location address was the store in West Covina.

I had been craving a frozen banana all day and came here and some Caucasian middle aged woman came out looking rushed (even though nobody was in there) «what do you need?»… «Hi can i have one monkey tail and– A WHAT???. Even though i was pointing at the display. «A monkey tail, its a frozen banana» and i was smiling. She was kinda abrupt and said «we dont call it that. Its just a banana»… Ummmm okay, just play along. Mind you she had a kid back there, not professional. I asked if i could do half sprinkles and half peanuts. And she looked at me like i was wasting her time and said «we dont do that!» If it wasnt for her attitude, i wouldnt just taken it plus a couple candy apples. But i said thank you and walked out then my mom says «that lady was kind of rude. She hurried us». So we got pretzels from the nice girls next door and i will wait for my MONKEY TAIL at the LA County Fair instead.

I’m sorry, but I bought some fudge and it was hard. I also got a couple other pieces of chocolate and they tasted like poor quality chocolate. I won’t go back.

My son and I were disgusted by the service we received today. The two older white women were so unprofessional and rude. One worker sat on the counter and chimed in on the insults along with the cashier. All because my son and I were wearing a DODGER t-​shirt. The first comment about charging DODGER fans extra was funny. However they continued insulting us. They obviously don’t care about the customer or the business. Funny they work in LA COUNTY. Maybe you should consider working in a different county or perhaps for Donald Trump.

i will be contacting corporate as well as the consumer affairs/​Better Business Bureau. I have never experienced such low class behavior like i did today from Rachel Sproles the owner. specially from a business owner just shows her class and the type of person she is. This place was good until today when I talk to the owner Rachael Sproles And the manager Stephanie. I am a regular as well as my friends (literally several times a week.) most the staff knows us because we come in together. Today I walked in saw a girl I hadn’t seen before and some of the girls that already know me. So I ordered the usual Rice Krispies with chocolate on top and an apple. I took a bite out of the Rice Krispies as I drove home and it was Rock hard well at least half of it was it literally turned into crumbs as i bit it. so I put it down and I called and spoke to the manager (Stephanie). I asked if I can have a replacement I’ll take the old one in and just switch it out no problem. In which she replies im sorry I can’t because we just made those. I said why not it’s hard I always purchase theses the girls there knows me from always coming in and this is not how they are.
I explained to her maybe it was cooked long or something went wrong, I don’t know all I know is Im the one that got a damaged good. Now behind the counter was white chocolate which was the one they just made. On display in the glass was the milk chocolate (the one I got) not fresh which I mean it’s just Rice Krispies doesn’t have to be fresh but not suppose to be rock hard. I had asked Stephanie for the owners name which she would not give me. She didn’t even want to give me her own name. So she didn’t except her own eventually. I also asked if i can have the name of the girl that knows me and helped me out and she wouldn’t give it to me. I asked if I can speak to her so I can explain to her and she said no she’s working she cant talk right now.

So I had to google the owner Rachel which all her information showed up. Anyways I asked if she can contact Rachel because I was not about to contact her cellphone which was provided by Google. so I asked to have her call me back. I told Stephanie she did not handle the situation correct and I was not satisfied. Im simply asking for an exchange she gave me attitude and said talk to the owner and hung up. I told Stephanie I will mention to the owner our conversation and how she handle the situation badly. 5 min later I receive a call from an unknown number. Someone claiming they are the owner. They basically cussed me out saying don’t ever call the store or show up. Not sure if it was Rachael or not. Seemed very suspicious she claimed she was the owner and she didn’t care what the situation was and that she didn’t have time to hear it. Just simply don’t come back here or we call the cops (exact words). For what? What did I do? for trying to get an exchange on something bad that you made? I was like wow does she even know what happen ?

I not once got to explain to her the situation or even bothered to ask for my side of the story. she went on going by what was told to her Because she spent the time off rambling getting mad and telling me how stupid i am because I called the store. A store owner should not treat their customers that way especially to regulars which help keep the store open. I will not be returning to this store and I will tell everyone I know to help spread the word on not to do business with them. Very disappointed with the way they handled the situation when something so little and easy could of Been fixed so easily. Thinking now I’m wondering if Stephanie even told Rachel exactly what happen or did she lie to cover herself up so that she doesn’t get in trouble since I mentioned I was going to report her to the owner. Very very disappointed and quite bummed I will have to find a new place to go now. as the other review state this is obviously a place that shouldnt be in business

Don’t waste your money. This Rocky Mountain Chocolate shop has stale chocolate boxes. I paid $ 40 for a box of chocolates Saturday late afternoon for my husbands birthday. He opened it that evening and the tops of the chocolates were covered in a white film. I went back the next day to exchange the box and the cashier said she had to call the owner to ask her what to do. The owner told the cashier to tell me to come back another day or I could leave my phone number. I asked the cahier to call her again and tell her I needed it resolved today. The owners response was that she was too busy at an open house and there were no refunds or exchanges. I was robbed!

Yes, it my be a bit pricey but it’s so worth it! The employees are always nice to me every time I go. The apples are the juiciest freshest green apples! Chocolates are also super yummy! The strawberries are great!

Love this location of Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory! They have way more variety than the one in Brea, and the apples are noticeably larger and packed with toppings. The moment you walk through the door you’re greeted with the smell of chocolate and a friendly «Hello» from the girls behind the counter. My favorites are the Cheesecake apple and Rocky Road apple!

Came in last minute for Mother’s Day and got their special; a dozen chocolate covered strawberries with free gift wrapping, caramel apple and balloon. Great customer service and friendly staff! I’ll def be back here.

I use to be a huge fan of Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory — mainly for my usual Cheesecake candy apple! I would order about 10 around Valentines just to share it with people but after coming today for a long awaited Cheesecake candy apple, I decided Rocky Mountain of West Covina is not my have anymore!
It was sour and greasy and all over the place. not the usual that I typically enjoy.
You failed me greatly !

I went there several times and had really bad service. The last time was the final straw. After paying over $ 8 for an apple, I was told to pay another $ 1.50 to 2.00 for choc. if I wanted more (as it was dabbed with choc.). Every time we have went there, the girls seem forced to help us :(and constantly talk to each other and forget about the customer and prcies seem fairly high than other locations.
OMG this place is horrible. I have went to the same store at Citadel in Commerce and the girls there have great customer service experience and treat everyone great.

I went here today to pick up some fudge. I opened it and started walking around the mall and on my second bite I found hair tangled up in the fudge. I went back and the lady was nice enough to exchange it for me. I decided to wait till now to eat it. Same story again. Second bite in, I found a huge hair wrapped up in my fudge.
I give them one star not because there products are not good, but because come on now, wear a hair net when your cooking.
