The food was disgusting and over priced. Three friends and I ordered an entrée and drink each and spent $ 80, so we expected it to be good. But that was not the case… We all ordered fried food of sorts, but rather than the fulfilling crispness expected of wings, fries or onion rings, we got soggy, wrinkled fries somewhat resembling a decomposing vagina. To make it even more off putting, halfway through my wings I discovered a hair(from my experience it was probably pubic) in the middle of the fried part. I’m very disappointed and would like my money back or I will sue.

This is our go-to place for delivery when we don’t feel like cooking. I love their falafel wrap, they do it up with tons of fresh veggies and hummus which is really good. Other subs and sandwiches here are tasty, too… and delivery is always super quick.

This is my favorite Delivery/take-out place in Waltham. I have never ordered delivery so much from one place since discovering them but I havent been disappointed yet. Service is sooo good, the delivery drivers are always here way before the expected delivery times and are friendly. What other place DELIVERS frozen yogurt? Not only that but its never melted when it gets here. Anyways moving on to the food… I love it! I have ordered a lot from their menu. One time I got a spicy BBQ calzone with pineapple, chicken, jalepeno peppers, and carmelized onions ~ soo good. Lets see. I’ve created my own salad and it was great, the lettuce and veggies were fresh and it was a big portion. All their dinner entrees come with side and a salad. I’ve gotten the Turkey and Cranberry chutney sandwich with brie cheese, YUM! Buffalo chicken roll up is huge! And their buffalo sauce is pretty good. Today I got a Margherita pizza and added turkey sausage. I decided I needed to write a review because I’ve always been happy with every experience I’ve had at Bits and Bites and highly recommend it to others. GOODJOBBITESANDBITES, thanks for my Froyo almost every night…

I used to be a pretty big fan of this place because of its«Make Your Own Salad» option, but slowly over time, it’s began to sink further and further down in my book. Sadly. Let’s start with the soups. DONOT, I repeat, DONOT get the Lemon Chicken Rice Soup. It sounds like it would be fantastic; that combination of ingredients is light and perfect, and should just be so satisfying. It tastes like nothing. It’s like water… zero flavor. But it’s freakier than water, because then you’re left chewing on things(chicken, rice) but your tongue isn’t registering a flavor… not awesome. Also, we’re in the great city of Boston here… save yourself some disappointment and don’t get the chowder. Not good. Their chili and lentil soup is decent — again, nothing I’d write home about, but it’s the safest bet out of their soups. So their salads, which used to be my saving grace: You’d think that a café would use fresh ingredients daily, or even *close* to daily… right? Not the case here. It seems as though they must use vegetables and meat that is at least a few days old in these salads. One day in particular, 2 of my coworkers got meatless salads and they both felt extremely nauseous afterwards and for the rest of the day. A lot of their vegetables looked pretty questionable, but their tomatoes were straight up disgusting. I got a salad with turkey on it that day, and I ended up just saving it for dinner/next day’s lunch. When I opened it to eat later on, the turkey was so slimy(sign of bad meat), it smelled a little off, and then I finally went in to try a small bite and it was unquestionably no longer good. My avocado, tomatoes, and cucumbers were also in horrible shape, just like my coworkers’. Beyond that, I’ve only had their rollups. They aren’t awesome either, a little bit bland(maybe that’s a common theme), but they aren’t bad by any means. They get the job done I guess. They ARE, however, huge and could either last you a couple of meals or make you extremely full, depending on how much you can eat. The one part about Bits & Bites that I do truly really enjoy are their smoothies. Granted, I don’t think I’ve ever had a smoothie I didn’t enjoy, but I’m a fan. If you stick to these when you go there, you’ll be golden. EDIT: Just found out it actually made FOUR of my co-workers feel sick, not just two…

After moving to Waltham, we’ve frequented Bits and Bites at least a half a dozen times and haven’t had a bad experience. The specialty sandwiches are excellent and the generous frozen yogurt options hit the spot.

Absolutely Horrible Service. I get it everyone makes mistakes. After we found metal in one of our lunches, we decided to not order there for a while. Today we gave them another chance. They got our order wrong… So I called and told them, they couldn’t have cared less. He(«the manager») told me they were too busy to bring the right food. So I got to pay for something in the trash. Great! The food is decent, but I’ll never ever order from them again.

Just spit out food from this place. My husband will eat just about anything and he took one look at the wings and said«I’m not even going to attempt. I can’t believe they let these leave the store» I’m actually amazed that someone can screw up pizza and wings so badly. The last few times we ordered from here it was pretty good! But this go around was really awful. Sorry :(

Jerks! I ordered through Grubhub at 11:30am, which has never failed me, and the expected delivery was 12:30pm. At 1pm, 30 minutes after my expected delivery, I called Grubhub asking where they were. They called them and they said they’d be there in 20 minutes. An hour later, no arrival, I called grubhub, they called them again and they said the delivery driver was out with 10 orders and he should be here soon. 15 minutes later I called to cancel my order. I’m an idiot for not canceling sooner. 2 hour delivery wait, with no arrival, no apology or explanation? Yeah, never gunna order from here again. Obviously, it is very poorly run. Shame on the management.

Not sure why this place isn’t receiving more love. Their delivery charge($ 1) is the most humble in Waltham, their drivers are always quick and sociable, and the food has always been deliciously consistent. Their Heath Bar Banana smoothie taste like the nectar of the gods sprinkled with crack. If you don’t want to slurp down your dessert with a straw, their frozen yogurt is a pint of Ben and Jerry’s, minus the stupid hippie. Previous poster Lauren F. complained that she received«too much» ice cream. What sort of delusional plain of existence do you occupy that too much ice cream is a bad thing? Must be the same one that Matty B. from Waltham lives on where he feels he can be critical of his«sandwhich», yet can’t spell the meal he’s reviewing. So her«complaint» is completely valid and they don’t skimp on your toppings either. Pound for pound best place for Froyo delivery in Waltham. The pizza is the thinnest of crusts in Waltham. Being such, it congeals and hardens in your fridge and doesn’t make decent leftovers. That’s not to say it’s made of cheap ingredients, but it doesn’t maintain the consistency of most cold slices you crawl out of bed for in the middle of the night because it’s paper thin. But when it arrives hot and gooey(and it will, because their delivery guys are awesome), you’d be hard-pressed to not place it among the top five places in Waltham for a pie, the peers of which being: Lena’s, Franco’s, Pini’s, Athens, and Tara’s. It’s just a pitfall to the style really and is certainly not a criminal offense worthy of robbing B&B of the five stars it deserves. The one«must try» item that is worth traveling to this place for are their roll-ups. They are like food baseball bats(literally) and knock the value and flavor out of the park. The Buffalo Chicken Roll-up is shredded and marinated with immense care. The Falafel and Hummus Roll-up(Chubby tip: ask to add feta and olives) is a traffic cone of Mediterranean and includes crisp, fresh veggies and their homemade falafels and hummus. You are left with absolutely no question about what your money bought you when they arrive. The internet gives people this false sense of entitlement, because now behind the anonymity of it all, illiterate customers with invalid opinions can come out of the woodwork and pretend they’re food critics. The reviews below are a living testament to this and an embarrassment for mankind. Their reviews are worthy of your laughter; Bits & Bites are worthy of your take-out patronage.

I haven’t tried many items on their menu, but I can say that I love, love love their Falafel Hummus wrap! Their hummus in general is delicious and I’m also a fan of their salads! Their salads are big and filling! That is all I’ve ever tried at Bits&Bites, so all I can offer advice on. I would recommend those items to anyone!

I’ve gotten lunch here 3 times. But never again. By the look of their menu you would picture a cute, clean neat place. but that is not the case. the place needs a good cleaning. Food is either dry or greasy, and bland. They have way too many things on their menu that it is impossible to make the quality of it all good. I would suggest they slim their menu down, because you can’t be all restaurants at once, it doesn’t work. Their eggplant panini was SO greasy there was barely any eggplant to speak of. They put lettuce on it that wilted and turned into a greasy mess. The cheese on it was rubbery and had no taste. I threw ½ of it out. Frozen yogurt portion is HUGE and the machine was cool. but they give you way too much it becomes a meal in itself.

This place only gets 3 stars because Crossover Calzones are still good. Not as good as when it was Hall of Fame or Pete’s(god i miss Pete’s). They changed a little since Hall of Fame but they are still the best around. Have had some of the wraps and are Mediocre. If you come here get the Buffalo Chicken Calzone, its the only thing i would get.

I got the strawberry banana smoothie, chicken avocado and bacon panini, and mozzarella sticks. Smoothie was great. Exactly what it should be. Mozzarella sticks average, nothing special. The panini… I don’t know what to say. It smelled awful. It looked awful. I didn’t even try to taste it. The smell was weird and I could not place it. I tossed it and my trash bag with it. I don’t what the heck they do to their grilled chicken but it smelled so gross. I couldn’t even try it. Probably not ordering food from them again.

Order: Chicken Gyro w/Onion Rings and Cape Cod Chips Service: I ordered online, the delivery person could not find the loading dock(my normal instructions) where I work(far from unusual)…He came to the lobby entrance and called me… He was very apologetic that he could not find the loading dock(which again is pretty normal for delivery people) All in all the delivery guy was nice. Delivery Speed: The food was fairly quick to show up… I was happy with the delivery time Food: The appearance was pretty standard gyro with onion rings… nothing special to look at… The gyro had pretty good flavor, but did not give me any wow factor… the same could be said for the onion rings… The food was good and tasted fine. The portion was about what I expected. Value: The cost for the food including delivery was very good, and although the food was not super amazing, I believe the food’s flavor was pretty equal to the price I paid. Delivery charge was reasonable. Would I order again? Yes, for quick delivery it is pretty good. However if I were to leave my office to get food I’d probably get something else(I don’t have many delivery options where I work) The food did not have any wow factor, but not every place should have to provide that sense of wow factor… For the price it was pretty good, just not super amazing.

There’s nothing quite as bad as a poor workday lunch. Especially when you pay like 10 bucks for it and drive 10 minutes in the rain to pick it up. I give this place one star for letting you order online, and another for having friendly service. But food-wise, there is nothing good to be said. I ordered a «make your own» salad that turned out bland and didn’t seem fresh. Added grilled chicken and I got a heaping pile of semi-warm, dried out meat. It just wasn’t pretty guys. My co-worker had chicken fingers and fries which he really couldn’t finish. Disappointing experience, with everything else in the area it is unlikely we will order again. Sorry.

I’ve ordered from here a few times, through grubhub, over the past through months since someone told me that they had always done a good job for them. I tried a few smoothies and only had one problem with shredded coconut being too chunky, and the food has been pretty decent: chicken dinner was good, chicken parm sub was mediocre, tried a few roll ups, nothing that jumped out at me as a bad sub shop. Then last week I ordered a chicken cutlet sub. The only thing that was asked of me was any additional directions like they usually do on any item ordered in grubhub. I said no and placed my order. What I received however was a sub roll with solely fried chicken in it. Thinking there had been a mistake(since I’ve ordered the same thing the same way before and it had been fine) I called them up. They told me that when people order it they tell them what to put in the sub. I responded that there was nothing additional I wanted and that was the only option I was given through the app. He told me that I should’ve written down everything I wanted in the sub and there was no template or standard for the sub. I knew this was wrong since I had gotten a perfectly fine one before with no additional directions. The man finally offered to send me some vegetables over but I told him that I had paid for a certain sub to be delivered not for the ingredients to be sent to me. He finally offered to resend another sub and I accepted since it had been what I initially thought wouldve happened since it was an obvious mistake. The replacement arrived and I opened it to find stale bread falling apart with a leaf of lettuce and some sloppily put together ingredients. Already worried that they spit in it, and even though I had then ordered hours ago and was very hungry, I just threw it out. With the food prep, the argumentative staff, and disrespect shown for returning customers, I will never be ordering from this establishment again.

If you’re hungry and jonesin’ for some spice in your life, do yourself a favor and order the buffalo chicken wrap from this place… it’s huge, it’s delicious, it’s filling, and it’s not too expensive. It’s probably my favorite thing on the menu. A close second? The honey buffalo crossover. It’s really great to order in on a cold day when you don’t feel like cooking. Pair it with a little bit of bleu cheese? Yum. I’m craving both of them typing this… Mmm…

Great food at a reasonable price and speedy delivery through grub hub, I’ve become a regular. Try the falafel hummus wrap without the veggies — AMAZING falafel ;-)
