Our name reflects our philosophy, we believe great food is art. Each one of our chefs is a trained professional who will amaze your taste buds and peak you experience with artfully arranged culinary masterpieces.

History

Established in 2000.

«Great food is art.» That is the philosophy which drives our catering and personal chef business. We believe that great food like great art inspires conversation and creates an atmosphere of well being.

Our company began as a personal chef business in 2000 and grew by reputation and referrals. In 2010 we opened the first website, called Dinners by Pharrell. One year later, NC San Diego Cooking Classes and My Cool Kid Cooks became the cooking class divisions of the company.

In 2014 as more chefs joined the company it became apparent that we needed to rebrand the company and bring everything under one umbrella. And so, Artful Chefs was created.

Business Owner

Chef Pharrell Worthylake grew up in Southern California, immersed in different cultures, foods, flavors and techniques.

After graduating from the Horst Mager Culinary Institute, now known as Cordon Bleu in Portland, Chef Pharrell completed her apprenticeship under Chef Scott Anelsm at The Couch Street Fish House.

This began a career path as a Personal Chef that allowed her to serve executives from companies like Miller/​Coors, Hewlett Packard, Sysco Foods, Intel and Mikes Hard Lemonade.

As the Executive Chef and owner of Artful Chefs she has gathered talented professionals from all over San Diego and Orange County to create a world class culinary experience for all of her clients.
