We used I love Tacos Catering for our rehearsal dinner in my backyard and they were wonderful. Our cook was sweet and polite while not rushing us like I feel some caterers tend to do. He was even cool about my Siberian Huskies running around when he was cleaning up! What a great experience and their tacos were delicious; all of our guests said so! I would definitely recommend them. Thank you!

Edna was fantastic to work with for my daughter’s wedding this past weekend 8÷15÷15. She was very amenable to menu changes and she was ready for the 10 «extra» guests that we ended up having. the food received rave reviews from everyone. You can not beat the quality of the food, service or pricing. It was was a wonderful wedding reception and Edna and staff were a big reason why. Thank you again Edna!

I Love Tacos Catering has wonderful customer service and authentic Mexican taquero style food. I would recommend this catering company to everyone. Their presentation set up was fun and festive as well. The food was amazing and just what I was looking for in a taquero!

Edna and her team were fantastic! We hired her for our wedding and they did a wonderful job.
At the consultation we got to try all the food we hoped to order for our menu and keep all the left overs (bonus)!
Throughout the whole process Edna was there to answer any and all of our questions. Her hook ups with Abby Rentals also helped in the organizing of our big day. It made it feel like a one stop shop, which was great.
Day of, her team worked so hard to set up everything in time (they only had about an hour and fifteen minutes) and all though I was not able to try any of the appetizers I was told by guest that they were excellent.
I would highly recommend I Love Tacos for any special occasion you may have.

Arrived 2 hours late due to a flat tire understandable nonetheless ruined our event
Guacamole was not fresh/​from scratch it was pre made and was served out of a bag
Meat did not taste fresh and was very fatty and they keep it hot by adding water which in turn makes it taste watered down
Gave them three stars because the presentation was really nice and the price was affordable but you defiantly pay for what you get
There cactus salad was nice
We had more than half the food left over and no one wanted to take any home

I began my search about six months ago for a good caterer for my niece’s first birthday party. I went on Unilocal and found, I Love Tacos catering. I read the reviews and took a chance on them, boy am I glad I did! Everyone loved the food! The caterers arrived on time and set up with plenty of time to spare before the guests arrived. The set up looked very nice and professional. We ate until our hearts were content and again the food was incredible! Definitely recommend them for your next party. So glad we picked them for our party.

It was a great way to plan a party. We live in Vista.
The people came out, set up the appetizer foods and then the main
course foods. They were so professional and the food was really good! I loved
their guacamole mix and put it on everything I ate! We had chips, salsa, guacamole,
quesadillas, taquitos, fruit salad, beef and chicken fajitas, cheese enchiladas.
Everything was so good! I would definitely use them again.

Top notch service, excellent food and very customer focused. I had a 50^th birthday celebration catered by I Love Tacos and everyone who attended the party enjoyed the food (mini empanadas, carne asada tacos, chicken asado tacos, carnitas Spanish style rice and refried beans). Highly recommend them, so give them a call and definitely deal with Edna.

August 11^th marks the 1 year anniverssary of my daughter’s wedding that you single handedly destroyed!!! What was to be the most memorable day of her life was a disaster!!! After being hours late, you brought out those cheap Santitos tortilla chips, rock hard fruit, and without being invited, your poorly dressed staff ate food right along with our guests… including my daughter’s wedding cake!!! What a bunch of filthy pigs! YOU STILL SUCK!

I love Tacos catered my kids birthday party we had about 65 people. I first spoke to Edna who quoted me $ 10 per person. She was very flexible and responsive. They arrived at my event 2 hours before hand to set up, there were three people that were there to help and they cooked all the food on site. We served carne asada, chicken tacos and quesadillas. The food was delicious and the sides were set up very nicely.
I was very impressed with the presentation and the service. They also allowed us to keep the left over food as well, which was perfect!
I will definitely be using their services in the future.

I used I love tacos catering for my wedding. Everything was great and the food was delicious. Everyone loved that we served «non-​traditional», yummy wedding food. Edna was helpful and responsive and everything ran smoothly on the day of the wedding.

I really wanted to love this company based on its previous reviews. The contact person, Edna, was very nice, accommodating and my event had the makings of being perfect. On the day of the event an entirely different story was told.
1. The two staff members drove down my street on their way to the event site and tossed an empty beer can out their window not too far from my house, about 20 minutes past when they should have been set up.
2. They were late arriving, didn’t set up promptly and the food, which was supposed to be served at 4:15, wasn’t ready until 4:45. When I called Edna to complain before the party started she told me they had left with plenty of time to get there. Maybe they had so much time they stopped for beers first?
3. One staff, who seemed to be in charge was RUDE. He told me to stop worrying that it would all be ready by 4:15. This was at 3:50. He talked to me like I was a child. Maybe he didn’t realize I was paying since I was the youngest of the group, but when he did realize who I was he didn’t change his tone, so maybe he is just an arrogant jerk.
4. I don’t eat beef, and I asked (in Spanish) for a chicken only taco and I got a beef and chicken taco, which I couldn’t eat. It took them almost 5 minutes to get a chicken only taco on my plate.
5. People waited in line for nearly a half hour to be served because (big surprise) the food wasn’t ready and the grill was so small that they couldn’t turn it over fast enough.
6. They didn’t replenish the sides until someone asked.
7. They didn’t cook the remainder of the meat and actually gave away the rest of the raw meat to a guest to take home (I’m not sure, but this has to be at least a hundred health code violations).
8. They were suppose to serve until 6:15 but stopped cooking at 5:50 (see above) so if anyone had wanted more or to take the left overs they wouldn’t have been able to.
8. The staff lead kept asking if everyone was happy. The guests didn’t notice all of the issues, so they were fine, except for the wait and lack of salsas, etc. He didn’t seem to care at all that I was very unhappy and that none of my contract was honored.
All in all, I went with this company because of their reviews and the fact that they took credit cards. Since this event was donation-​based that was a concern of mine and I wanted to be able to cover the remaining balance with my card if I needed to. I felt very stressed with this company on the day of the event and that is not the feeling I wanted to be having. Otherwise I would have just cooked myself. This was a first event like this with many to come in the future so it sucks to be this company because we will definitely be taking our money elsewhere for our next event. Hopefully I can save you the headache of not having your party run smoothly.

We had a great experience with Edna and the I love Tacos Catering Team! They arrived early, got everything set-​up and all our guests (100 kids and 100 adults) loved it! It was a hit with everyone. the included guacamole was super delicious and the meat (we had chicken and carne asada tacos) was super good. There was more than enough food for everyone. They were professional, helpful from the first call we made. We are a nonprofit and they had great prices and we will definitely use them again in the future! Thanks I Love Tacos!

Catered a party with I Love Tacos and it was great! All the guests liked the food and they even accomodated my request for all white-​meat chicken. The staff were super nice, arrived on time, and cooked the meats perfectly. The food buffet they set up looked super; colorful and lively.
I am even booking them again for my bridal shower. For $ 10 a head, with a staff cooking on site, you really can’t beat it!
Only minus one star for the «guacamole.» I really don’t think it’s guacamole, but a runny avocado salsa. (Not that great.)

My November 2011 wedding was catered by I Love Tacos Catering and they did an amzing job. From the first contact with Edna, I had timely answers to any questions I had. They had the lowest pricing and the food was delicious. We kept getting comments from guests on how great the food was. They were timely, and provided great service. We had empanadas, barbacoa, carnitas, rice and beans. They brought plenty of food and did a great job with set up.

I had I love tacos catering at my wedding recently. I would not have done it any other way. I was very pleased by how quickly and patiently Edna answered all of my questions while planning for the event. As a panicked bride to be I had many questions and she always answered them promptly and very nicely. I loved the way everything was set up and displayed and everything looked very appetizing. I didn’t get to each much that day but I did not notice that much food left around so I am assuming everyone enjoyed it. really have no complaints at all and would use them again for any parties I have in the future.

My wedding was catered by I Love Tacos Catering. There were tons of mexican food caterers to choose from, but Edna was the most responsive and the most flexible. Most taco places give you 3 types of meat and set packaging, but we were able to work with Edna to get vegetarian options that aren’t even on the website (Nopales tacos)! Our menu consisted of mini chicken tamales, chile rellenos, carne asada, carnitas, cactus tacos, and salad, as well as the included spread of rice, beans, salsas, chips, carrots, and green onions.
Come wedding day, Edna arrived 1.5 hours before her scheduled arrival time to set up. They cooked on site and their set up was professional and festive. And the food! Our guests could not stop talking about how amazing it was, even those that «hate mexican food.» Vegetarian and vegan guests had full plates (beans are not cooked in lard). As bride and groom, we didn’t get to try all of it, but we had plenty of leftovers to take home. I could not have asked for a better experience.

I never thought that one of the most difficult things about a wedding reception would be locking in a caterer. In a sea of wedding caterers, nobody seemed to want our business as we had nothing but un-​returned phone calls and emails.
Luckily, that was not the story with I Love Tacos Catering.
They got back to us very quickly, and before we knew it, we finally had a caterer locked in!
I can’t say enough good things about I Love Tacos Catering!
Once I saw their menu, I was all in. It was a hard decision to narrow down which items to offer, as everything sounded so good.
An extra super bonus is the fact that their prices are very reasonable, as well.
As far as the day of the wedding went, everything was super smooth. They had a great display and were very professional. Their food? Delicious. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about how good the food was. Unfortunately, as bride and groom, we didn’t really have to much time to eat so we got a little helping of it but it was amazing, nonetheless. If you go with the Carne Asada and the Beef Barbacoa, you can’t go wrong.
We’re hoping that the next wedding or event that we attend is catered by I Love Tacos! We would definitely hire them the next time we need a caterer.

I had this company cater for my son’s 1^st birthday party and they did a FANTASTIC job. My guests thoroughly enjoyed the food, I had people asking for take-​home plates! They presented the food table so nicely, and while one of them was cooking the other was serving my guests. I didn’t have to worry about them getting all the fixings and their food. I would highly recommend them for any catering event. They were on time, had enough food and were very friendly.

I freaken love tacos so this place was a no brainer. Their food is AMAZING. They catered our rehearsal dinner for about 40 people and did an absolutely stellar job. Nearly all of our guests were from out of town so we ate Mexican food for nearly all their meals (Fidel’s in Solana, Las Olas, etc.) and I Love Tacos blew their food out of the piñata. That good. I was afraid we were going to run out of food b/​c people kept going back for more, but they must have anticipated that b/​c we never did. I do recall them saying they provide enough for each person to have 3 – 4 tacos, which at the time I thought was way too much, but we had barely any leftovers! Those that we did made for killer post-​wedding «I don’t have to fit in my dress anymore» food.
Response time is so quick I feel they must never leave their computer. We also had a bartender who did an awesome job for four hours for $ 80. Considering she didn’t have a tip jar out (tacky!) that was a really good price. We provided the alcohol and she made some pretty amazing margaritas.
They set up and decorate their tables before all your guests arrive and cook all the meat on site so it’s very fresh (we had chicken and carne asada but they have more plus fish tacos). Their salsa is out of this world good and my midwestern guests especially loved the churros, b/​c even though they’d never heard of the name before, they were fried and had sugar on them.
Book them and tip them well!
