Pros — Great smoothies. They even made a dairy free one for my son and even gave the extra in a separate cup. I also love their swirls and coffee shakes. Went there at least couple of times during our recent trip. Cons — Overpriced, …but isn’t everything else in VA beach?

Peanut butter frozen custard still as good as I remembered. But the fresh waffle cone was sweeter and more dense/harder than before. When we placed the order, the guy was making fresh waffle cone right there. And there was a box of cooled waffle cones, but he went to the back and brought one out with him. Not sure why…

Loved the chocolate and peanut butter twist! Creamy and delicious! Really fast service with no lines. I will need another one in a waffle cone before end of vacation.

Sometimes I just really need some Kohr Brothers. It’s too bad, because in Virginia, you can only find them in Charlottesville and Virginia Beach(not northern Virginia). But here I was, in Virginia Beach, and having a Kohr Brothers craving. Perfect! I personally would never order their vanilla or chocolate flavors because they’re so generic, and similar enough to McDonald’s soft serve. For me, it’s all about the orange deliciousness. And their selection has expanded too, so they have a few machines going. Hence my husband’s selection of peanut butter, which was more delicious than I expected. I was however surprised by the price increase. $ 3.50 for a «baby cone»?(That is in fact the name.) She didn’t even top it off that high. And so that’s why Kohr’s loses a star.

Local favorite. Delicious ice cream. Always a wonderful treat. I ordered the peanut butter and vanilla swirl sundae. Great atmosphere. The smell of the waffle cones is enticing enough!

Rather than ice cream or frozen yogurt, I wanted a frozen custard. Different flavor, different texture. Six or so different flavors of custard available in a cup or a cone. Only a few different topping options including sprinkles(«jimmies» to some) in rainbow or chocolate. And peanuts. A small cup with peanuts was $ 5.50. It melts FAST so be prepared to eat your cone quickly!

I tried it once in our short stay in Virginia Beach and I still dream about it. I’ll never be able to erase from my memory the incredible richness and flavor of the cinnamon pumpkin twist frozen custard. It is some of the best, if not the best tasting custard I’ve had. And that means a lot coming from a girl who grew up with the dairy state of Wisconsin as her nearest neighbor. My goodness what I would do for a cup of that Kohr Bros right now. If you are anywhere near a Kohr Bros right now, I envy you.

After a VERY disappointing experience at Ben & Jerry’s, I was hoping for better and boy, I found it! Absolutely DELICIOUS, smooth, creamy soft serve, perfect in a twist with the orange sherbet soft serve in a cone – I got very jealous looks walking down the boardwalk! Definitely go here instead of any other ice cream place!

Best ice cream chain in VA Beach! Fast, friendly service. The mint chocolate swirl cone was on point. Next time I’ll have to ask for mine to be dipped in chocolate. Definitely worth trying over the typical Ben and Jerry’s or Sweet Frog.

This place is great! Frozen custard in all different styles, it is ice cream with extra awesomeness. The prices are on par with Dairy Queen, but you get more bang for your buck here. There are locations all along the strip and people are eating all the ice cream up, day and night! You’ve gotta try it!

This was my families first time in a Kohr Bros Frozen Custard in Virginia Beach. It has a great location on the beach road in between 23rd and 24th street. Parking will be either street, or parking garage. However, most of the traffic that is generated is by customers who spontaneously decide to get a treat. Both of my children got custard, one in a bowl a mint swirl. The other on a cone plain vanilla. The woman who assisted us was helpful and courteous. The area in front of the store was clean, as was the counter and back area. Around three employees were witnessed which is a great number for this small business. Prices seemed fair for the beach. I would recommend.

Not sure why this was rated so well … My kids like all ice cream except they didn’t like this place. Husband said it was gross, too. I didn’t try it.

The smell of fresh waffle cones being made lures me to Kohr Brothers Frozen Custard. Every time I’m at VA Beach, I stop by Kohr Brothers for custard to cool off on a hot and humid day. All of the flavors I’ve tried was delicious. My favorite flavors are peanut butter and orange cream. The service is usually fast. If you like custard, Kohr Brothers Frozen Custard is a great sweet treat to enjoy.

I just moved to Virginia and visited Virginia Beach my second day here. I was looking for some yummy dessert and ran into this place. I heard frozen custard is a thing out here so I couldn’t not get something. I don’t remember exactly what I got but it pretty much tasted like frozen yogurt. I guess maybe it was a little thicker. Albeit, it was spot-hitting, especially during Virginia’s summer humid heat. I’m looking forward to get some frozen custard another time. I don’t think we have this stuff on the West coast.

So we had to try the ORIGINALCUSTARD after seeing a story on one of the food channels. Definitely worth fighting off the tourists for a cone. They are a bit pricy, but then again they practically are on the beach. Hint: maybe VABCH residents could get a Discount like some of the neighboring establishment give to us.

I am unsure which one of these actually served me as there are so many on Atlantic Ave. I will say that the soft serve if awesome. We ordered 2 small Vanilla and Chocolate swirl inside a freshly baked waffle cone and it was amazing. Could have been part of the heat that made it taste so good but either way, I enjoyed it. I will say that the small is way too much, 2 people could share one. 2 smalls in a waffle cone with tax was $ 12.00…WHAT!!! LOL But it was worth it.

I like this place. Order a small though, it’s plenty. We were out and about in the middle of an August day and what better treat for a few overheated young adults and children. We were instantly drawn in by the lure of cold treats. Worth stopping by for a cup of custard though i have heard to avoid the milkshakes. The orange swirl was amazing.

Boy do I LOVE custard! I have tried 3 – 4 different vendors & this 1 is in the top 2. This is creamy, delish, fair variety of flavors– I liked the peanut butter chocolate twist. Its a bit pricy but who cares?!
