Great service! We had 15 palm trees — overgrown, sagging, dead fronds hanging down. The Tree Guy and his team had them looking great in just a few hours! Cleaned up ALL debris — including some fronds that we had previously pulled down and stacked. Jonathan was very friendly and extremely professional. The crew showed up on time and the price was exactly what had been previously quoted to us. Will definitely be calling them again.

We had a wonderful experience using Jonathan The Tree Guy. We had a very large tree removed from our front yard that was growing out over our roof. Jonathan and his guys were very prompt and reliable. They had everything down and the stump ground down within 2 hours. Amazing. Will happily refer him and be using him for any of our tree needs.

Called 2 tree guys for estimates. They never showed or called back. Called the Tree guy. He called me back, Made an appointment for estimate. He didn’t show but called and apologized and took $ 100 off the $ 350 estimate. He and crew showed on time as agreed. Fast and efficient. Our white birch never looked better. Nice clean up also. Highly recommend.

I had to have a couple trees taken out at my business and to be honest I was dreading this. Jonathan gave me an estimate, which was reasonable. He made me feel comfortable and assured me this would be painless. He was super friendly, arrived when he said he would. I needed this done on a Saturday, I know it wasn’t convenient for him but he totally accommodated me. He arrived 30 minutes earlier than he said he would, with a crew ready to work. The job was done quickly and cleanly. They left my yards cleaner then when they had arrived. Thank you for a job well done! I would definitely use their services again and would recommend «The tree guy» to everyone.

Jonathan and his crew did a wonderful job on trimming a HUGE avocado tree on our property.
The job took all morning and most of the afternoon and by the time it was done a vast difference was made; our property actually looked larger!
The tree was «candlesticked», meaning it was trimmed to the point of the main trunk with a few large limbs left on the sides. The tree will grow back but not nearly so large.
What also impressed me was the care in which a crew member very neatly chamfered the cut off limb stubs so that the tree looked well finished.
I would recommend The Tree Guy.

What a difference a trim makes. Changes the entire look of the back yard. much nicer lines. Johnathon and his team are a dream. Left my back yard cleaner then when they got here. Don’t read anymore reviews call The Tree Guy now.

Jonathon was very responsive about coming over and giving a quote. I asked him how long it would take to clear my slope and how many workers he would have to work on my property. He told me it was about a 4 – 6 hour job with 4 – 5 guys at a cost of $ 1200. On the «high side» that equates to about $ 40 an hour per person, not including the removal/​dumping fee. If I factored that in ($ 200 based on my experience), then the rate comes out to about $ 33 per hour per person. That seemed very reasonable to me, until he actually did the work. As it happened, I was on travel and my wife stayed home to «overlook» the slope clearing. In short, Johnathon showed up 3 hours late with only 3 guys and stayed about 3 hours, which equates to $ 111 an hour per person (that is a rip-​off!). He left lots of trimmings, leaves and weeds that my daughter and I spent a full day cleaning up after (which was part of his job to my understanding). In addition, I have a drip system to all my plants (trying to be water responsible) and his workers hacked through ~50% of my drip lines leaving them running down the slope and not watering the plants… I am still repairing that.
On a positive note, he seems to be a nice guy, but buyer beware and really watch over him (and his crew) to make sure he does what is says (probably like the other people did that wrote good reviews on him). I would have a hard time using him again without a much better understanding of what he is supposed to do along with hovering right over him and his crew.

Jonathan and The Tree Guy crew did a fantastic job on my palms and ornamental trees. Jonathan is very knowledgeable; I learned a lot about my trees from our 30 minute estimate consultation. They arrived on time, were very professional and cleaned up all the debris. I highly recommend them. My trees and yard have never looked so clean and healthy.

I have known John since I was about 12 years old. We lost contact for nearly 20 years as we went off to different schools, moved to different cities, etc. When my wife and I moved to Calabasas we have some tree issues that need to be taken care of and we called an ad in one of the home magazines that is dropped off to our house. I was kinda cautious to work with someone I considered a friend, but John was excellent. He has been to our home 3 times to help us out with trees on our property. The only problem I have with John is that he is sometimes booked a week or so, but that is a testament to his work and his reputation. We will gladly wait when we need to because he is affordable and he offers great service. I am glad I was able to reconnect with him.

Obtained his number from Unilocal and called because of his reviews. Happy to say I was not disappointed. Jonathan was professional and very nice. They came on time cleaned everything nicely and did exactly what I wanted. I have four ficus trees that I planted from saplings and didn’t want them butchered. They did a really wonderful job. Will call them next year again.

We have had several ads dropped on our porch and called each one. The most professional response was received by Jonathan. He returned my call and spoke to my husband. Though he wasn’t the most economical on the list, we felt confident choosing his company. We weren’t wrong. Jonathan came as scheduled with his crew. There was one car parked where they needed to work so Jonathan started knocking on doors. It was hot and the workers were busy cutting and much needed cleaning of our tall queen palms and tree. After cutting they did an excellent job of cleaning. I would highly recommend this company. By the way, our palm trees look marvelous! No more nasty looking and dead palm leaves!
