Went there looking forward to a great evening. We were sad to see that they recently went out of business.

I live in the hood and though it took me a while to check this place out I really thought the Happy hour was very good. The people behind the bar where friendly. Fish taco’s where yummy and chicken satay good. Wine on the happy hour was very good. The people coming and going seems really cool. Not trying to hard. The bar is a great shape and décor is well done. This place needs to catch fire! Should be taking the Hal’s crowd.

This place was mediocre at best. They were not friendly. They were not welcoming. I hoped the food would make up for the fact that our waiter never checked up on us, but my steak sandwich came on ciabatta that was burned to a crisp. I asked for a refill that had no ice and when we asked for some, they slammed the cup on the table. I understand the fact that«kitchens get backed up,» as was our explanation for the long wait… But this could have easily been my worst dining experience to date. No one in my party of 11 was pleased with either their food or the service. I will not be back and will make sure no one I know traveling to Venice will be here either. They really need to retrain all of their staff on customer service and overall satisfaction.

I actually liked some of the food, but the service is so poor that I can’t even remember the dishes we had. When we could find our waiter, he was rude and rushed. I realize restaurants get overwhelmed and I realize waiters, like all of us, have their bad days, but this was beyond acceptable. We had a reservation for 10. It was an employee dinner, hosted by myself and my boss. We started with lots of small plates and 3 bottles of wine. We would have liked to order more, but by the time our waiter came back, we were over it. On top of disappearing and not getting us what we wanted, he was rude. When we asked for the check, a few moments later, he threw the bill fold on the table… at the wrong end of the table. I say threw, because he literally tossed it and it slid across. And I say at the wrong end because it seems reasonable that the person who orders the wine and asks for the check be handed the check. Not our guests at the other end. I was embarrassed to have such a bad time with my employees and co-workers.

This place is the«plan B» on Abbot Kinney — don’t waste your time. Food is meh, and service is TERRIBLE(though the bartenders are super friendly). Don’t expect anything better than average, at best. If you are on Unilocal, then you probably have more than enough time to make a reservation and avoid a lame dining experience. There are 20+ better restaurants within a mile.

I saw they have only 3 starts but thought why not give it a chance. Unfortunately, we either had a very bad luck or encounter the reason for this low rating. Service. We were waiting for over 40 minutes before we ask the waiter to check on our food. He said the kitchen is behind but it’ll come out shortly. The place didn’t look busy at all. After 7 – 10 more minutes we got our food but the order was completely wrong. I added the 2nd star because the brunch menu looked interesting, unfortunately we didn’t get to try it. We decided to leave. They didn’t charge us for our drinks tho.

I love Feed for Sunday Brunch! Excellent place to kick it and enjoy a good drunkenbrunch with your girls or your HONEY :).The Sunday $ 3 mimosas and their Bloody Mary’s are greaat! I actually haven’t had one bad drink here and I’ve tried plenty. I love the seared tuna sandwich– that’s my fave thing to order here.

I so much wanted to love this place, but it took almost a half hour to get steak tacos in an empty restaurant. Really? And the thing is, they were pretty good. But at $ 15.00 for three little Tacos, maybe serve a salsa with them or a chip or two? And don’t take 30 minutes. Service was the reason for a frustrated 3 stars. He tried, but doesn’t run the joint. Could be a good spot, might try happy hour and give them another shot.

Went here during their Happy Hour on First Friday. It’s $ 3 off cocktails before 7pm. I loved the drink with fresh passion fruit. It was so exciting to see fresh ingredients in my drink! My friends loved their refreshing Fresca Fizz Mojitos with strawberries, mint and lime. It took a while for us to get service, but the server was polite and friendly. I think her attention was more focused on the better-dressed business men next to us, but we weren’t in a rush.

3.5 stars: I enjoyed this place, although not my favorite spot on the block. I recently went with a vegetarian friend and it is a good spot for a meatless meal. We split the mushroom flatbread, moroccan cauliflower, and a special eggplant pesto dish. Everything was great. The mushroom flatbread was outstanding. Our waiter was nice and the service was vert good. I do think the serving sizes are pretty small for the expensive price. After those three plates, we were still a little hungry. Maybe we just eat a lot :/. The rest of the menu didn’t really excite me. Everything sounded good, but kind of typical. It doesn’t really leave me inclined to go back soon. Also find it odd that they could only serve plain coffee. My friend asked for a latte and no luck. However, the coffee was french press and quite good.

Feed was an absolute great experience! Went on a Thursday night for a birthday with a few close friends and had a perfect evening. Food was top notch and service was beyond satisfactory. Will repeat again. Great date location FYI

Went here for a late lunch/early dinner on last Saturday. The menu was fairly limited and still serving breakfast amongst lunch(I think it was around 2 pm). They have a few sandwiches as well and some smaller entrees. The waitress was friendly and service was good. My friend ordered a mimosa and I got a flavored caipirinha(it’s a Brazilian cocktail). I ordered a marinated chicken sandwich and my friend got a club sandwich. Both were very tasty. When the bill came it seemed really high and that’s when I realized the drink I got was $ 18!!! I didn’t notice the prices on the drink menu. I don’t think the prices were even on there but I can’t remember for sure. I don’t think I’ve ever payed that much for a cocktail. It definitely was not worth $ 18 and if I had realized the price was so high I wouldn’t have ordered it but maybe that’s my bad for not noticing the price. Regardless, $ 18 for a drink is too high. Other than that I like this place!

Great atmosphere, delicious drinks, and amazing food at a pretty decent price. I’m not from around here but this is everything I was hoping for when going to get lunch in Venice!

Friday was my third visit to Feed. I didn’t stay though… Bar stools– super duper comfortable. Good looking interior Food– I remember it being okay. Not fantastic but good. …Which is why I stopped in for happy hour. The reason I left– I called 2 days prior(Wednesday) to make SURE they were doing happy hour since it was First Friday on Abbot Kinney. A militant sounding male answered. He said yes they were having happy hour. I asked if it was at the bar only and he said it was for the bar and(another area) which I can’t remember. We Ubered our way there to Feed for our first stop for their 5:00 happy hour. Sat down at the bar and was handed their normal menu. I asked him about HH(I think he was a dishwasher and not a bartender, which is weird). He proceeded to tell us «the drinks are cheap enough» and continued talking in such a quite tone I didn’t catch a word. Huh? What does that even mean ??? «The drinks are already cheap enough.» WTH? Got up and left to hoof it down Kinney to Primitivo(HH-5:30), then Joes(HH6:00). I called these places as well, and I remember being put on hold so they could be SURE. They did indeed have HH and it was great. Feed– Get your shit together. The overall 3-star-rating is not good enough for this area.

Sunny Spot had a 2.5 hour wait, which if you’re wondering, isn’t actually possible. You can’t have a wait that long at a restaurant, I don’t believe it. But I believed that it was going to be long enough that we shouldn’t stick around, so we didn’t. We left. On our bikes. And then we arrived at Fred. No, wait. We arrived at Feed. For the record, I probably would have given this place four stars if it was named Fred instead. If only they committed a typo and stuck with it. If only. This place has cheap mimosas on Sundays and that’s about it. The food was okay but nothing too memorable, though all I got were some eggs and bacon so I don’t think there’s much to remember there anyway. And if you’re keeping score, I remembered that so obviously I’m a big liar liar bike shorts on fire. We sat next to some annoying girls. I bet they liked it here. It felt like they would. I bet they all shopped at Brandi Melville until about two years ago. Those kind of girls. It wasn’t bad and we could have done worse, but I don’t see any reason to come back. Primitivo just down the street is waywaywayway better. Sorry Fred, it’s true.

I was invited to check this place out by a friend. My girlfriend and I decided to make a date of it, so off we went. I made a reservation online, and it was incredibly easy. It seems I used a third-party service to make the reservation, and I am a bit wary about that because sometimes establishments have communication troubles with third-party reservation services. Called the restaurant to confirm just before we left–«got you right here.» Nice. Very pleasantly surprised by the décor. I was impressed with Feed’s ability to acheive the upscale after-work drinks vibe and also the fancy dinner-date vibe. The lighting was just right as well. Being from Michigan, I was excited to learn they stocked Oberon, which is an awesome beer. I also ordered a Coke, it was great Coke. Now comes the tricky part. After some chips and hummus(it was prime), we looked over the menu, which had some great options. My girlfriend orders the flatiron steak. I got nervous– my girlfriend, you see, is a freaking steak EXPERT. My girlfriend knows more than I ever could know about steaks, types of steaks, tastiness levels of steaks, etc etc. If she doesn’t like the steak, the date gets messy fast. She liked the steak. Sigh of relief! I loved my steak as well, but hey, I’m just some guy who likes steaks so… Sweet potato and shoestring fries were on point with aoli(sp?) We have a couple tequila shots on recommendation, because they had like shelves on shelves of tequila options. For dessert, the flourless cake was alright, but the salted caramel dessert was ANOTHERTHINGENTIRELY. Such a tasty situation that is. I think that is my «thing» that I will like to get when I return. Throughout all of this, we received great service. The waitress who served us engaged us and enhanced the evening. My girlfriend and I occasionally discussed some heavy topics and she was very respectful on when and how she checked up on us. This is a four-star review that gets one more for A1 service. The prices were fair. I mean, we were cherry picking random items from the menu that sounded good and the bill was reasonable. I think the first ingredient to a pleasant evening at a restaurant is the company you bring, and my girlfriend makes great company. Thus, I am not sure how long the food took, or who was served before us etc etc. All I know for sure is it was a wonderful night, and we were well taken care of. I will definitely be returning with other friends for more good times at Feed.

First off, let me just say that the ambiance and service here is okay. I should have known there was an issue when I looked around and realized only two other tables in a moderately busy dining room were actually eating… We ordered an assortment of small dishes: brussel sprouts with tahini, chicken skewers, pear and goat cheese flat bread and the tuna crostini. Here’s the problem with Feed: their food sounds a lot better on paper than it actually tastes. I almost made the mistake of booking this place for a group of people I actually like last weekend. I made the rez and then checked the Unilocal reviews. Not good. I cancelled it. Back to the food. Nothing really offensive but there was something wrong with every dish. The flatbread had a strange medicinal taste, the chicken skewers were cut into huge slabs of over-marinated chicken, the tuna crostini was fully cooked tuna with no acid, and the brussel sprouts, while being probably the best part, were overly seasoned with salt and vinegar. Everything came out at once, literally minutes after ordering and with no room on the table. Fast forward to the end of the meal… still, no one else around us actually ordering food. Glad we tried this place on our own instead of suggesting it as a group dinner with other people. Also, at $ 10, their valet is a huge rip off.

Stopped in here for a quick one after brunch because it had a really nice vibe. Big open spacious room with high ceilings, large multiple sided window due to its corner site location provide nice light. The square bar fixtures and other décor elements give it a kind of contemporary speakeasy meets the neighborhood bar from Cheers vibe which felt authentic and works. It’s comfortable and inviting though at night I’m sure this place hops as well. Up a few steps behind the main room is a lovely comfortable outdoor seating area secluded from the main streets. A very nice pretty Marilyn Monroeish looking blond lady was very pleasant and accommodating. Word is the food is good so will have to get there again soon.

We sat down… we ordered so appetizers — wanted a quick light meal in that«it’s too late for lunch but too hungry to wait for dinner» hour… Ordered a steak salad, hummus and pita, and steak skewers… water and iced tea for drinks. Yes, small order, but we sat at the bar and weren’t planning to stay for long. The food arrived pretty quickly, all together… the salad was drenched in dressing(even though we asked for it on the side… twice!)… OK, they took the salad away… The skewers were really good, so «why 3 stars, Unilocal»? So… we sit and wait… and wait… our glasses have been empty for a while, not sight of that salad… wait a bit more, start trying to catch someone from the staff… success… asked for water, tea, reminded about salad… we wait… water showed up, but was poured into my glass and all around! great… salad showed up a bit later, but seems like they just took all steak off that other salad, and substituted fresh leaves the leaves that were drenched in dressing. Good job… I don’t argue, I kinda want to go… Oh, right, is that why 3 stars? Unilocal, you are right again! Should I mention it took us quite a bit more time fishing out check out??? and no, they didn’t even offer coffee/dessert… not that we wanted, but I wanted to see the menu… This is now you mess up good food with lousy service! Learn how not to treat your customer!

Well what too say, if u want some decent food and rude service, this is the place for you. I honestly will never come back here as the hostess and waiters were quite rude. Not all of them of course, but it was a direct reflection of their leadership. The food was good! Let’s get that out of the way. The service was very passive and they use being busy as an excuse to be rude and pushy I guess. There’s so many more places to buy overpriced food and drinks that I’ll take my business elsewhere next time.
