Edwins Towing Service

After calling three other tow companies, Edwin’s Towing came through with a fast response and a good price. The dispatcher was polite, professional, and helpful. The driver arrived on time, was super polite, and got my van onto his flatbed easily. He dropped it off at the dealership right where it needed to be. I couldn’t ask for better service!
For the record, the first company I called was rude on the phone and quoted a flat $ 100 charge to go less than 5 miles. The second company was rude and quoted a wait time of 2 hours! I was out of the service area for the third company, but to their credit they recommended me to Edwin’s Towing. I’ll keep their number handy for the next time!

Terrible service. I was told that the wait would be between 30 – 45 minutes. The driver didn’t arrive until 2 ½ hours later. Their customer service is pathetic. Will never use this company again!!!

Horrible service! Waited over an hour, when their response time is within an hour. Not even a courtesy call back informing me they were going to be later. The dispatcher (julian, I think) was super rude and had an attitude. The drive… don’t even get me started. He was weird from the beginning. At first I though he might have had a bit of a handicap because he was kind of slow. But when I took a second look and he was sweating (was not a hot day) and his eyes were huge. I honestle think he was on some type of «substance» which was confired by my own mechanic. I told the driver to drop off my car signed the papers and called my mechanic in front of him mind you, to let him know the car was in its way. When my mechanic called me back asking where is the car I got on the phone and the drive was yelling at me why was I not there to sign for papers at the shop and he can’t leave it. My mom was on the phone with the mechanic at the same time im talking to the driver and the mechanic said (which my mom confirmed) that the driver was yelling at him threatening to impound the car because I wasn’t there to sign papers. Which I already did. The funny part is when the driver finally did leave my car there, my mechanic called us back and said he thinks the guys was on drugs. And we NEVER even discussed anything about that. He just confirmed what we were thinking. The worst part about this story is that these people are AAA certified with the sticker right on the door. I really hope not because clearly they need to have better background checks and random drug test. I wish I remembered the drivers name to report him. Honestly, he should not be driving. Clearly this company is very unsafe.

Horrible!!! Towed my car and charged me $ 200 cash im just pissed that towing companies can do this to you when ur parked in an area where theres not big of sign to do sin a abandoned parking lot! Really ho waist uour time helping others that axtually need uour services not parked cars… Ive done it many times and finally these idiots decided to pick up my car and tenats that live across the street always complain of this company just wanting to cash out on innocent park cars!

WORST SERVICE EVER!!! Last Friday (9÷25÷15) I ran out of gas, and went through my roadside assistance (Road-​America) to get gas, I was supposed to get 3 gallons of gas, and it was supposed to be 91 gasoline (my car is only supposed to receive that) and the driver showed up with just a little over 1 gallon of 87 gasoline (which he was charging me $ 9 for). After me being upset about that, he tried to get my car towed to the nearest gas station, I didn’t allow that, it’s an all-​wheel drive and he didn’t have the appropriate tow truck, he said he had a tow bar for that, but he was sloppy and was in a rush and I didn’t feel comfortable him towing my vehicle. I ended up agreeing to the gasoline he had. After I agreed to that he noticed he didn’t have the correct funnel and he tried making one out of a PAPER! Well, when he did that of course gasoline went EVERYWHERE! And when I saw that he just kept on doing it and he got gasoline all over my car, I finally told him to stop, he then told me that all this wasn’t his fault, and that for us (my sister in law and myself) to please be patient and not make an already stressful situation worst. I then told him that this wasn’t our fault either (the fact that he didn’t have the appropriate equipment) and he answered me «Well, I’m not the one that ran out of gas» and that’s when I lost it, I told him how inappropriate that was and that it was unnecessary, and he said «you should be thankful that someone is helping you» and I told him that he wasn’t doing this for free, and that I paid a fee for this and then he started complaining about the fact that they didn’t pay him enough and how he was doing ME a favor. I ended up calling the tow company and told them what was happening, and dispatch was nice the first time I called, and they told me they’d send another driver to help me. That they would be there in 45 minutes, after an hour of waiting I called them and asked what was going on and dispatch told me that they were not going to send anyone anymore and to deal with it with my insurance. When I started to tell them that the least they could have done was called me to let me know that they were not coming, he told me «It doesn’t matter what you tell me, we are not going out there anymore», and I told him «God, this tow company just breeds bad customer service, doesn’t it?» he told me that on the contrary, and I was about to say something to him when he hung up on me.
They are getting 1 star because 0 stars is not possible.

Said it would be an hour to come start my car. An hour later they say it will be another 15 mins. I told them I had a sick daughter in front of Urgent Care and a crying baby in 90 degree heat at the first call. So much for service. Thanks Martinez Towing for showing up in 10 mins.

I had an accident Monday June 15^th and Edwin’s Towing came to my rescue. Their dispatcher and their tow truck driver both called and kept me posted on their eta. Good service at a good price. Thanks for helping me out!

I can’t speak for anyone who has had a bad experience with this company… I’ve used them twice and both times they were awesome!!!
First time was with my grandpas Chevelle, I did not feel comfortable with the old breaks and wanted disc breaks put on it. Through AAA, one tow company came out (you can see my other reviews for that)… After they didn’t take it, Edwin’s came out and were totally professional!
Today I called AAA and Cesar picked up my Porsch to take to my mechanic in Pasadena. Yes, that’s a tow from Chino to Pasadena at 7:30 in the morning!!! He was great, polite, very careful about pulling my car onto the flatbed (making sure not to drag the assend)!!!
This is the only company I will use in this area!

This company is awesome. Our toy hauler spun out on the freeway and we hit the guardrail. Our rear axle bent, immobilized it. We called AAA and they sent these guys. They helped us unload our bikes, loaded them to there trailer so they can deliver them to our home. They towed the trailer to there shop were they fixed it, re welded a new rear axle and got us our trailer back within a week of our accident. Thanx to Ray, Tino, Alex & Javier. You guys are true professionals at your jobs and customer service.

This towing company like another company call Bill & wag’s towing. these guys ask for $ 100 dollar per hour which is ok for me for towing my truck. but they say they took 4 hours for towing my truck from ontario to city of industry only 20 – 25 miles and they charge over $ 400.00 that was feel like been robbed. they say traffic. but everybody know for afternoon from 2pm-4pm.there is not like a traffic or something. and they even tell me that it’s ok. insurance will cover that bill. if so .why you don’t charge me for $ 1000.00 for towing 20 miles.
the another company bill & wag’s charge $ 300.00 per hour…
that is not good for the business.
i know a guy told me he was busy. he live at west LA and he only quote me $ 300 for drive the truck to ontario and tow the my truck to industry. Only $ 300.00
anyway no recommend these two company.
they making money on peoples adversity. which is not cool!!!

Great service. Tino called and updated us on his ETA. He used the flat bed for my large car as it needed a 35 mile tow to my mechanic. He was also knowledgable on the mechanics of engines. Would recommend them to anyone.

Alfredo is awesome! My car wouldn’t start last night and when I called to get it towed they sent me Alfredo. I was told it would take about 45 min. Alfredo called me less than 10 minutes later and said he was only 15 minutes out! I had had the worst day ever, he got my car on the truck and got me home in like 40 minutes.
He completely saved me. And not only that, he was the friendliest, down to earth guy.

I had been in a car accident Monday evening, my car was unfortunately towed by a towing service I had no choice since I was taken to ER right away. Next day I Called AAA to have my car picked up since I didn’t feel the need to pay $ 500 to keep and tow my car from the other place. they said they’ll have someone sent over in about 30 min Alfredo from Edwin’s towing called said he was on his way and got there in about 15 min, loaded up my car from the worst towing place mr t’s towing I repeat worst place ever!!! Any way Alfredo suggested I leave my car at their yard (Edwin’s towing) and have my insurance take care of everything, since I don’t have the premium AAA I only had 7 miles he not only saved me $ 50 but was very nice and took care of everything for me. Thank you Alfredo!

The absolute best! The driver I got frank is phenomenal! He was super fast after I had already waited an hour for triple a they called another company and gave me a eta of another hour and he was there in 20 minutes! He had a positive can do attitude super funny as well. To the other reviews you have no idea what you’re talking about. This company also has the cheapest rates even without triple a.

Drivers are rash, when I spoke to the Owner Havier, he defended the driver and did not take any responsibility!
Spoilt car and overcharged! I don’t know how they have a AAA sign on their truck.
HORRIBLE!

Service was border line non existent, overall customer service is not available. I called AAA for roadside assistance, took them one half and thirty minutes to get to where I am, (understandable due to LA traffic and rush hours) I was initially quoted for $ 200+ for a tow, I advice AAA that I will find a cheaper quote, then less then 10 minutes later, I received another phone call from AAA stating that they apparently found a separate tow company (Edwin’s Towing) whom can offer the same service for a discounted rate of $ 70. Naturally, as any consumer; we take the offer (especially being told since you are a valuable AAA member we have given you a discount, therefore instead of the whopping $ 200 tow, you qualify for $ 70.)
After almost 2 hours of wait, the tow truck arrives, speedy service, everything was good. Then after arriving at the destination. I was told that the fee would cost me $ 171. Naturally as any customer, I said let me call AAA, since you are a subdivision of AAA you can resolve the issue with them.
After 20 minutes of being transferred to different «supervisors» and its getting late, My family have no eaten dinner and it is almost 9:30 pm. I felt bad for the poor driver, so I said lets just get this over with and I will pay the $ 171 and I will personally dispute this matter with AAA, I offered my business DEBIT card, driver took my card went back to his truck, soon after came back and told me they do not accept DEBIT or CREDIT card, so I offered a company check or a personal check. I was denied. As a customer I have offered 4 different payment options; (I am a business owner, I have a portable credit card terminal, which cost no more then $ 50 to set up) after 20 minutes of phone call. The driver has decided to call his «Boss» whom rudely informed me if I do not pay him CASH, he will impound my vehicle and charge me ADDITIONAL $ 25 per 10 minutes that I am costing him?
What happened to customer service? What happened to «Have worked hard at providing professional services to our customers»
The exact respond I received was «Hey dude, if you do not pay us, we will impound you car and I will personally charge you $ 25 per 10 minutes you are costing me»
There is an old saying «you want something done, you go to the top» now if the owner of the company can treat their customers this way, what can we really expect from this company at all? Are they in it to rob innocent people of their hard earned money? or are they really providing the QUALITY and PROFESSIONAL service like they preach? From my experience honest business is best business. My company distribute a line of home care systems, I have personally met my clients on my day off, to insure the customers are satisfied with our service and product. I wish I can say the same about this company.
Nonetheless, I paid for this service, shouldn’t I receive a SATISFYING SERVICE? To any future victims of this towing company or should I say towing TRAP. If AAA refer you to this company, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DENY THEIR SERVICE, save yourselves the trouble and headaches.
