Established in 1999.

Hung (Lee) Nguyen is the founder of Canyon Auto Repair Inc. First location is established 1999 in Beaverton. Business base on honesty and good knowledge skill to serve the community. Even though, through the down turn of economy Canyon Auto Repair is growing and in 2009 Lee Nguyen bought 10,000 square feet of prime location in Tigard Oregon and open another Auto repair and Collision (www​.canyonau​tore​pairand​col​li​sion​.com) with 23,000 watts of Solar system. It produce 80% of energy and safe thousand pounds of CO2. With hard work and dedication Lee Nguyen and his team at Canyon Auto Repair and Collision is the key of success.

Canyon auto repair has been a godsend for me my car broke down and it was bad I don’t make a lot of money so it was a problem. Lee of canyon auto helped me to get the financing so I could have it fix, but unfortunately the damage was extreme because I hadn’t put coolant in the radiator, and It caused more damage and then my steering went out it was going to cost more than the car was worth. So he sold me another car from there supply and again helped me finance it. It has had a couple of minor problems and they took care of them right away. They are professional, polite and they do the job as fast as possible. I never missed a day of work while they worked on my car. They had rentals for 25 dollars a day. I recommend them to all my friends and family. I sincerely thank them for all they have done for me.

First break job needed on my 2009 Nissan Cube (96K miles). I had front and rear breaks done (ceramic pads). They drained and replaced the break fluid. They did a good job at fair price and they offer convenient hours. I dropped my car off before they opened (using the key drop). They called me to confirm the work needed, I approved the work and picked up my car after work. I haven’t had any concerns with the work done and Justin at the counter, made sure to give me my old parts back as well as the boxes from the new parts. I will used Canyon Auto for my next service, if all goes well, I plan to go to call them «my shop» for all my car’s maintenance and repairs.

Lee, the owner of this shop, is the most helpful and wonderful mechanic I’ve ever been to. Here are some of things he has done for me:
1) Lee is helping me and my boyfriend find used cars that match our budgets and taste. Lee is a living almanac of which models in which years are reliable on a variety of different metrics, which is comforting because we know he’ll find us cars that will live long and have few issues. Lee regularly emails me or calls me to check in and let us know how the search is coming.
2) Lee walked me and my boyfriend through everything that he was doing while inspecting our current car. Instead of giving us a bill we don’t understand, before he ever did any work he showed us how to check the status of the outer breaks, how to identify a worn drive belt or timing belt, and he offered to let us come in while he’s replacing the brakes on the car so that he can teach us how to do it!!! (He could tell we were eager to learn more about cars.)
3) I’ve come in multiple times without an appointment. Lee and his team started working on the car immediately and got the work done quickly.
4) His team did a thorough review of a used car I was interested in buying from a friend. The price for the inspection was reasonable and I left knowing what it would cost to do needed repairs.

We used to go here regularly and I have recommended this shop to many people in the past. At first, they were honest, cheap, and expedient at every repair they did. I was quite happy with their service and they were on my list of contacts as my mechanic for my car. My whole family (that is 6 different vehicles) took our cars there over the years for standard maintenance and major issues. Recently something has changed.
My fiancé brought his car there. It’s check engine light was on so he needed it fixed to pass emissions in order to get it re-​registered. Not only did they charge us as if they did fix it, which they did not, when we got it home the car all of a sudden, inexplicably doesn’t run anymore. We brought it back to them twice, and was charged both times for work, since then to fix that issue but it only works for about a day then dies again. When we took it to get an emissions test one of the days it WAS running (like as soon as it got out of the shop) it failed! So, we paid them $ 1,500 to get his running car to pass emissions and received a car that won’t start and failed emissions. What the heck!!!
This would not be suspicious if my car, which was overheating and they did a bunch of work on it a couple months ago, didn’t start overheating again after they supposedly fixed it. Then, my mothers oil leak, which again they supposedly fixed recently, is now happening again. When we speak with them about the issues, they deny any culpability and quote more money for a fix. Also, we have to pay a tow truck every time to take my fiances car down to their shop and they refuse to help us out with getting his car there even though I KNOW they own their own tow truck!!! Asking around town, it seems recently this has been happening to numerous customers who have gone to them. I am sad that they are doing this because I was so happy with them up until now.
SO in conclusion my warning to you is to look for another shop. This one now does shady business and will not fix your car!

The owner, Lee, found us a great used car for our son. Doing auto and collision, they’re set up to get cars at auction and fix them up. We got a great deal on a beautiful car that was mechanically checked out from stem to stern and drives like a dream. I know where we’ll be getting it serviced!

I called for a quote to fix my door. It would not open from the inside but it would open from the out, something inside the door broke and I know nothing about cars. When I called I did my best to explain and the guy who answered say «Ummm ok? so what do you want me to quote? replacing the handle?» I explained that the handle was still there but it was something inside the door that broke and he continued to talk down to me saying he didn’t know what I was asking for when I feel like it was pretty straight forward. I ended the call and they did not get my business.

A real nice group of people to work with, very knowledgeable and have friendly customer service. I brought my vehicle in after having some issues with the engine and they were able to diagnose the problem quickly and got it back to me promptly.
Unfortunately, about a week or two later, my car broke down again due to one of the replaced parts having a defective component. I called Canyon back, told them what happened and they replaced the part for free with no additional labor cost to me! That was definitely unexpected, but fully appreciated! There was, however, some confusion when I dropped off the vehicle the second time as communication was not passed along to the mechanics about the new issue, but that was the only real criticism I can find. They aren’t the cheapest around, but when you want something done well, you don’t go to the cheapest. I will definitely come back, but hopefully won’t need to!

The mechanic/​owner was unclear and did not provide clear line item of cost. Ended up paying almost double for my repair. I would say this repair shop is opportunistic so do your homework and check the prices before you send your car here

This shop have good customer service. This was my 2nd time came here. I had transmission issue with my Toyota Highlander and help me quickly and take me home while the in the shop for the day and come pick me up when it’s done. Service is great! Totally recommended!!!

A friend recommended this place. Called and got a quote on Monday. It was significantly cheaper than the dealership, so I ordered the part. They called on Tuesday and said they had my part and painted and ready to install on Wednesday. That is only 3 days to get my bumper fixed. Prior to calling, I took it to the dealership and was quoted higher than Canyon. Plus, the dealership it would take 7 – 10 days to get the part and painted. I would highly recommend this place. Fast, reasonably priced, and high quality workmanship. I’m 100% happy with my choice.

A friend recommended I come here for an oil leakage caused by many services with Jiffy Lube in which they messed up the delicate screw off capping off the oil. I meet Ross upon arrival. Happy, smiley, extremely professional. They diagnose the issue: cross-​screw to the oil pan. The only solution: new oil pan. Ouch! Other things they noticed needed fixing. The small ouch became extremely large ouch. No matter, must do right by the car. I could have gotten frustrated but in reality, they cared about my problems and express the reasoning for each of the fixes. I am very grateful for Lee and his team diagnosing the issues and getting them fixed. It was a long week of car issues, and being without a car. Lee did offer me a loaner, which helped tremendously. Overall, although I forked out a lot of money for one issue, I found others at need equal attention. Now, I’m driving a much safer and issue free… for now.
I told Lee that although I enjoy working with them I hope to not see them for a long time. At least until the next oil change.

Went in to get my wiper blade motor replaced. After they called and said the work was done I was walking up to my car and noticed the windshield was cracked (it wasn’t before I brought it in) I mentioned it to Jerry (shop manager?) And he said he hadn’t noticed it but would replace it. I was surprised he offered to replace it so quickly with no questions until I closer inspection the next day in the light. The windshield was near shattered at the base, something I wouldn’t think that could go unseen during the work. The next day I go driving and the wiper blade falls off on the highway. (Just bought the pair brand new 2 months prior for $ 60) Jerry claims they didn’t take them off and that it must have been a coincidence. They replaced my windshield so I’m giving them 3 stars for that, otherwise I’m not that happy with the fact that they weren’t up front about breaking my windshield and waited for me to notice. Probably won’t be going back.

My husband called around and the price was cheaper here, or so it appeared to be at the moment. He was quoted at $ 175 but the day (a week from the day he called) we brought our car in the price went up $ 25 for the exact same service with no additional costs or add-​ons of services or parts — talk about inflation. The person who processed our paperwork was so proud when he told me he us a $ 70 dollars discount. You think he pocket the extra $$$ he charged us?
It gets better… I told him I have work the next day that’s the reason why we were dropping it off so early (10am– ish). He replied with confident it will be done by the end of day. Four-​thirty rolls around and we haven’t heard from them. so my husband called. The person that picked up said that the car is done and that they close at five. WTF… So we hauled a** to get there. I was thinking hmm. Speeding ticket. on them… Our lives… on them???
Customer service was average… Communication among their team was poor… Lacking consistency… Depending on who you get/​talk to your price can either be more or less… Regardless of the diagnosis. Oh and pick up time. I would say common sense to let your customers know so they can time manage their day… However, common sense is not so common.
To the owner, Hung, tip for ya… Hand pick your people… Cause they represent you when you’re not there… Today you were not there.

My car just needed a touch up paint job because of road rock chips damaging my ’07 Toyota Corolla’s front bumper and hood, otherwise the car is in excellent shape, no dings, dents, scratches or smashes. Read the available car reviews, I first went to Artistic Auto Body, Manager Lee was very cordial and informative, he checked the car thoroughly, even printed out an estimate, almost went for his offer, but just as I was waiting for the Enterprise Rent-​a-​Car guy (they literally share the same office building) to get to me, I had second thoughts, glad I did! Way TOO PRICEY (they sure have the nerve!)for what little, all things considered, my car was having done.
Jerry/​Canyon Auto was just as friendly and helpful, and at least WILLING TO NEGOTIATE on a very fair price that also included FREE car use for 4-​days, and this is THE BEST PART, it was 1⁄3 the total cost of what Artistic Body would have soaked me for!

Disorganized. That pretty much encompasses my experience with this place. I needed my windshield replaced which they frankly took care of pretty quickly, except less than 24 hours latter the rubber sealant around the top of the window had peeled off. I made another appointment to have it fixed and when I showed up, they had no idea what I was there for and didn’t have the replacement piece (the rubber seal). They apologized and said they’d order the part and would call me when it came in. A few days later they called and we arranged a subsequent appointment and surprise surprise when I showed up, they forgot that I was coming again. I had to leave the car with them again for what should’ve a quick fix because I assume they had to squeeze me in behind the appointments they didn’t overlook. When I came back a few hours later they asked how I would like to pay forgetting the fact the only reason I was there was because the work they did the first time didn’t take. Again, they apologized for the oversight and then proceed to look for my car keys because they misplaced them.
They were in the unlocked car in front of the building. Glad to hear the others had a great experience; maybe they only pay attention when it’s an «exotic» car. I gave them two stars instead of one simply because they were friendly.

This Place is GREAT! The Employees are all very Friendly and helpful. They got my car in Fast and Quoted me a fair and very affordable deal on fixing my CV Axils on the right and left side of a Honda Accord. They even drove me back to my house and picked me up after the repairs were completed. WONDERFUL SERVICE! Which is why I gave them 5 stars I would recommend them to anyone!

At first I was VERY SKEPTICAL because I feel that way about ALL AUTO REPAIR SHOPS!!!
Changed the Ball joints today! Jerry and the guys gave the best services, prices & fast too! I will bring my truck back for the 90K tune-​up in the near future! Nice to know that there is an honest auto shop (sorry but I had many bad experiences before — especially when I was living in stinkin’ L.A.).
