History

Established in 2007.

After working for over twenty years for other shops, in 1998 Lee opened his first exhaust shop. Ten years later, he opened A1 Muffler in Southwest Portland, where it has become one of the highest rated shops in the Portland metro area.

Business Owner

Lee Ennis has always been involved in the automotive repair industry, beginning when he was a child working along side of his father and uncle in their muffler shops. Lee was raised in Los Angeles, California, and moved to Oregon in 1983 to work at many of Portland’s exhaust shops before opening a shop of his own. When his son was young, Lee built a junior dragster that they raced at the Woodburn Dragstrip. He now races one of his own cars, The Ugly Duckling, at the same track in the sportsman class. He is proud of the reputation for providing high quality and affordable service that A1 Muffler has earned over the years.
