Saremi & Johnstone Dentistry

This office is THE BEST dental office I’ve ever been to. My whole family goes to them for everything from cleanings, to fillings, to crowns. The staff is so sweet and the dentists do excellent work and are very honest what needs to be done and what can wait. They work well with dental insurance policies, even if they are considered out of network. If you are in the Thousand Oaks area, you really should use them.

I’ve been going to Eddie ever since I was young and I won’t go to anyone else!!! Everyone there is funny, nice and always gives me a good experience despite how I feel about dentist. I saw that Dr. Johnstone offers a 6 month smile program and I decided to give it a try since I never like to show my teeth whenever I smile. I recently got the braces off and I could not be happier! It worked incredibly well, my teeth are super straight, and I can’t stop smiling. IM ACTUALLY FLOSSING NOW and it’s because I want to haha! The best part is that nobody even noticed I had braces the whole time. Well done

Quick story: I first went to Dr. Johnstone 13 years ago. She was the first doctor who demonstrated what real teeth cleaning should be like and totally understood my fear of needles and put me at ease (fear=screaming my head off when I was little when the dentist tried to stick a needle in my gums and other dentists had to come out to calm me down because I was causing other patients to be jumpy). She then moved and I lost touch. Had a change of insurance and had to change dentist office and went through other shady dentists (I mean… real shady in good areas too… honest dentists are very hard to come by nowadays) and got fed up. Searched for her and decided that traveling an hour to see her will be worth it.
Result: same honest to goodness Dentist who still cares about my dental health and is genuine and damn good at her field of practice.
First check in July 2014 for teeth cleaning: I told her the last dentist told me I had 9 cavities and was going to charge me over 2 grand and she told me that all I needed was a procedure (don’t know the name) that required drilling (painless!!) and resealing with an out of pocket cost of only $ 50 after insurance kicks in. (By the way, at the time I saw her I got my ppo insurance.) She even remembered me after all these years!!! Bahram the hygienist was very reassuring, efficient, funny as heck, and super conscious of me and kept asking me if I was doing ok. Gave me a care package of toothbrush, paste, floss, and mouthwash.
Today: Bahram was super funny and quickly put me at ease. The state of my teeth improved (the pockets that they measured improved) but he wasn’t quite satisfied and wanted to do more for me. I mean, who does that? I have never encountered someone like him. And he gave me this toothbrush that would attack my problem area along with the care package. And Dr. Johnstone came in and chatted with me. And for the first time in my life I finally understood how bleaching and teeth whitening works. I’ll be using her analogy with my kids.
Ok so the rest: receptionists were super friendly and awesome. One of them has an British accent. I love listening to her speak. Lol The wait area has snacks and water for you! What!!! Super awesome!!! Plenty of parking so no worries. They also can make appointments in advance.
Honestly, it is hard to find someone I can fully trust but she has my full confidence. I absolutely love her and her team!!!

You will look forward your visits at this incredible office! Yes, I am talking about a dental visit. From the décor, to the professional yet cheerful, friendly staff, you’d think you are in a spa. State of the art equipment meet old fashion attentive, warm, one of a kind service. Dr Saremi will care for you like you were a family member — with the lightest, most gentle hands. You will be so happy, dental health never looked more appealing. Your next appointment with the hygienist will be one of the most joyful experiences. It really doesn’t get better. 5* the max here, I am giving a 10.

Walk in to the office and just observe. You’ll see bubbling receptionists, hygenists, assistants, and dentists up and down the hall. Many have been working together longer than I’ve been alive. Everyone is smiling– there are laughs from room to room and pleasant music echoing. Dentist offices are never meant to be this… dare I say… enjoyable? But Dr. Saremi’s is.
Your appointment time arrives and you are taken into one of the treatment rooms– all clean and comfortable. TVs and headphones wait for your use if you so desire and not a minute after sitting down I am getting a look through. I am comfortable, in no pain and cannot help but smile. Cleanings are thorough and my fillings have been painless. Dr. Saremi spent an extra while getting my bite right and checking another tooth because to him my dental health is paramount. Here I don’t feel like another insurance claim, copay or patient folder crammed in a file drawer. I’m a part of the family.

Looking for a dentist, look no further. I have been going to Dr. Saremi’s office for 19 years now. Always a great experience (for a dentist that is). Staff is top notch and they always have their «A Game». Don’t hesitate to give them a call. I have referred most of my friends and my employees to go there. If I change my dental insurance, I always make sure they take it.

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Edie Saremi (and associates) for over 20 years. Dr. Saremi and Dr. Johnstone are truly the most caring, concerned dentists I’ve ever met. Their office is State-​of-​the-​Art. It’s very friendly and patient centered. I have an active gag reflex and it takes a lot of patience to deal with me. Dr. Saremi is excellent at helping me get through a procedure, taking whatever time is necessary. I can’t say enough good things about this office, and definitely can’t say anything negative. It’s FIRST CLASS!
