Two stars for location only. They don’t even serve decent ice cream here; its cheapo Hershey’s. But you wouldn’t guess that from the price they charge. Because of Scooples presence on the Square, Dunkin Donuts doesn’t have a Baskin Robbins. Brownwood would be so much more attractive with a great ice cream joint.

This is so cute! Everything from the striped vests to the black and white pictures on the wall gives you a 50’s flavor. The ice cream inventions are both classics and some newer concepts. Strawberry Slammer and Root Beer floater are two favorites for sure. Love their coffee too. If your a dare devil go for their challenge to eat 9 scoops of ice cream in 40mins and get your picture and name in the history books! Brain freeze guarantied.

Eating ice cream here is an investment. I just purchased 2 small ice cream cones and the cost was $ 8.46. Brownwood needs more competition. The ice cream is not that great.

I had the Jeff Cuban Press, So delicious!, the bread and meat were fresh. My friends had a chili dog, adult grilled cheese and sliders. There were No complaints, just a lot of mmmm’s going on. They even put raspberry flavor in my lemonade for me! So sweet and refreshing on a hot day. The Rosemary potatoes were seasoned and cooked to perfection, better than french fries any day. As soon as we walked in, the manager greeted us and the staff were so attentive. The food came out fresh and fast. We will be back again and hopefully will have room for an Ice cream float :)

Huge sundaes! The Gold Digger was delicious… never woild have thought to put buttered pecan ice cream and butterscotch sauce together, but it works. Service was friendly and fast. Nice place to take the family for a treat.

Scooples has the look and feel of an olé’ time ice cream/soda shop. Our party of 6 sat at the counter enjoying HUGE ice cream sundaes. Super yummy!!! Definitely worth the visit!

I had salad and soup here. The salad did not taste right, so I sat it aside. I explained the problem to the server who supposedly told the manager. No response from the manager. It made me sick a few hours later. Avoid the salad!

Went there for ice cream only – which was good tasting and good portions. However, a day later I could not find my debit card, and the last place I used it was here for a take-out order of ice cream cones. I called and the manager said, «They were too busy to look for it, and I would have to call back.» It was a take out order, so the only place(s) it would be would be at the register, or where ever the store secures lost cards – which should not take any time to look. Evidently the manager has never misplaced a debit/credit card of her own!!! UPDATE: As they wouldn’t look when I called, I drove the 10 miles out to the shop; waited in line; told the lady at the register, that the last time I used my card was there; she walked over to the office, and emerged 30 seconds later with my card; asked for ID, and I was on my way. It took less than a minute, and yet they didn’t have the time to check earlier. In today’s world of identity theft, the manager would have cared a little more – customer service comes in all shapes and sizes. Based on their initial response, My previous 1 Star rating holds!!!

Awesome, affordable and appetizing! The waitress was great and if they forget something they will give you a 10% off. It was quick and the diner atmosphere is entertaining. It has a Johnny Rockets feel. I highly suggest this restaurant. Ingot the turkey Reuben, mmmm good!

Great little ice cream parlor and restaurant! Breakfast, lunch, dinner, or dessert stop you’re in for a treat! Clean, friendly and reasonable prices keep us coming back! Olde time fountain, and table service both inside and outside! On Brownwood square next to movie theater!

Fun place to eat! old fashioned ice cream parlor feel! Food good, only drawback, can be a bit pricey. Wish they had soft serve ice cream instead of just hard ice cream. Will go back again.

Came here for ice cream with a friend and her kids. The Praline Pecan ice cream was great but that’s about it. The staff wasn’t really friendly. Then once we walked outside my friends daughter dropped her ice cream and I thought they would be nice enough to replace it and the girl just handed the ice cream over and stated to total. They need to work on being a little friendlier with the customers.

Only been there for ice cream, which is pretty good. HOWEVER, I was told by froends that the food is so-so and overpriced. Will check that out soon. The reason for the downgrade to 2 stars is the frequent lack of hygiene by the workers. On more than one occasion we have observed workers preparing special ice cream orders without using gloves. Normally ok except in these occasions, they were touching the additions(like coverings and whipped cream and bananas. We saw one worker actually use her fingers to ‘straighten out’ the presentation of a special ice cream order. When the manager was informed they said they would take care of it but the same problem was observed again on a different occasion. From my perspective, it reflects on the management attitude as well as the callousness of the workers.

We stopped in for breakfast before going to the movies. Their menu has good choices for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Old time ice cream parlor feel! Reasonable prices, friendly staff, & very clean! We will be eating here before, or after, going to the cinema!
