very pleased with the service provided, jc home repair is my go to when I need something to get done right. All the workers are very friendly and kind they seem to work great together wich is one thing I definitely noticed because of how great they communicate.

I have some old bi-​fold closet doors that had come off the rails and needed new parts. Karina, in the office, was able to come out, take some photos and had a crew out in a couple of days. They were prompt, courteous… and more importantly saved my doors, which I thought were toast.
Fast forward a little more than 3 months later and one of the parts that we used in the repair broke. I called, and James and he was able to come out later that day. I happened to have a box of spare parts, and he was able to use them to fix. No charge for the fix! Now that is how you get and keep happy customers.
From Karina, to James to the guys on the crew… nothing but great work and service. Highly recommend.

JC’s Home Repairs has done a lot of work on my home since 2009 when I needed new patio covers. The work was extremely well done by the owner, James. The results were both technically sound and aesthetically pleasing and showed me this company could do other work around my home.
Jobs completed have included concrete walkway replacement; rehabbing a bathroom; interior painting (excellent prep); building, installing, & staining a large interior cabinet; enclosing 2 patio overhang areas to make them into rooms; installing new doors; building raised planters; and a variety of small jobs like replacing a garbage disposal and ceiling lights and repairing stubborn plantation shutter slats.
Most employees have been highly skilled, others are young and given more basic jobs. James will purchase and transport most items needed for a job to ensure appropriate material is on-​hand to complete the work without delays. He also has given me great suggestions and ideas to complement or enhance most projects. James communicates well with me as the client and his employees to ensure everyone knows what is expected/​needs to happen each day.
I will try to attach some photos to show a few of the projects. Overall, this small company has a professional approach, employees skilled in a broad array of the trades, and great interaction to ensure the job is not only well done but usually with such good attention to detail that the end result is much nicer than I originally expected.

James and crew are WONDERFUL! We have had them do a number of household repairs — odd jobs to much more technical. Each and every time they have been FABULOUS (and I am a very, very tough critic). Aside from just exceptional work, they are very professional, timely, responsive and clean (they clean up after themselves). Again — I have zero hesitation in recommending JC’s. Waste no time — call them, now.

Yup. We are satisfied customers for sure! On the referral of another colleague contractor we hired JC and his crew to do some remodeling and a bunch of odd jobs on a property in Culver City. He did a great job — clean, efficient, honest and did things to save us money. Plus instead of just fixing the garbage disposal he TAUGHT us how to fix it! He even complimented the work a previous contractor had done (we have never ever had a technician compliment the work of a previous tech, they usually criticize.)
Plus… he is reachable and on time!

JC and his crew have done a number of repairs and upgrades to my home since I moved to the Valley in 2012, and each time I’ve been completely happy with the work they’ve done.
The jobs have ranged from the trivial («can you replace the light bulbs in this big high ceiling?») to the more complex («These closets need some sort of shelving solution… what do you think we should do?»), and on every occasion they’ve come through.
The best things you can say about a home repair/​handyman company are that they’re A) reliable and B) expert. I’ve found both to be true of JC’s Home Repair. That they’re just plain good people is a bonus.
Life is busy, and you want to be able to check the box that says «I don’t have to worry about this stuff.» That’s what you get here; simple as that. Highly Recommended, especially if you can sweet talk them into bringing the dogs over. We’re dog people.

They responded very quickly. I received an estimate within an hour of my first call.
The receptionist Reilly was very kind and helpful — even though I had a ton of stupid questions and concerns.
The men came to my place less than 48 hours after initial contact. I just moved and needed some furniture assembled. And I am NOT handy, so I went to the professionals.
They were friendly, fast, professional. Reasonably priced.
I will use them again, for sure. I wish I had a bigger place so I could call them more often! It’s nice to know there is someone there in the future for any random odd jobs I may come across.
But they made it clear they do VERY large and advanced projects, as well. — Again, sadly I won’t need that for my 1bdrm apartment.
Also, they are getting busy now hanging Christmas lights for the season! Darn! I want a house!

this company has done a few jobs for me and each one was performed as promised and for a reasonable price. I would definitely use Jc’s service again for anything from a small repair to room remodel.

I think our property and house might be a total disaster without these guys. They have done just about every project imaginable for us from basic plumbing and lighting work to complex landscaping design/​build projects. They are always on time, always on budget, and get it done right the first time.
For example… we asked them to plant some mature grape vines we bought from a local nursery. What neither they nor we knew was that the hillside was about the hardest clay we’ve ever seen. When they realized they couldn’t get through it with shovels and pick-​axes, they ran out and rented a jackhammer, banged it out in a day, and we never even knew they ran into trouble.
In a world where contractors of all sorts seem to be getting worse every year, these guys really get it right.

James came out quickly as promised and gave a reasonable quote on replacing the hardwood floor in our powder room. He is one of the few companies that does small job repairs on hardwood floors. His tech, David showed up on time and did a great job in making it look like new. I would not hesitate to use them again.

I am extremely pleased with the work that was done by JC and his crew. He not only moved both mine and my Fiancé’s belongings into our new home, but he also went above and beyond by staying late to ensure that everything was assembled, strapped to the wall, and hung in the proper places. He even came back the following day to assemble some outdoor furniture that I had purchased. He and his team are a pleasure to work with and I will definitely be using him again in the near future!

Very pleased with the work JC Home Repair did on my house. Have lived in it for a while and realized the gutters have never been cleaned for as long as we lived there and probably never were cleaned by the previous owners. Called JC based on a recommendation from a former student who worked for them.
James, the owner, was polite and prompt. Called on a Thursday and he came out on a Saturday. Pricing varies, depending on the job, but there is an hourly rate, usually with a 2 hour minimum (for larger jobs like mine). James himself showed up (no subcontracting here) with his son and one other worker. The job was done, as promised, within the two hour frame, but, one of our downspouts was cracked on three sides and needed to be replaced. We were told it might take a couple weeks, and that they would do their best to match the paint. One week later, we have a perfectly matched downspout installed and, as it happened to rain a week after that, working perfectly.
The total cost for the new downspout was a bit more than I expected (both the parts and the labor), but the work is perfect, was done in a timely fashion, and James is incredibly easy to contact and communicate with. JC Home Repair does all kinds of handyman work and does holiday lights installation. I would certainly recommend them to anyone who needs work done. I’ll be calling them again for sure.
