Being a resident of Tacoma while trying to plan a wedding in the shadow of Seattle businesses, Ray’s (253) area code caught my eye and his reviews as well as website convinced us he was the DJ to have. Everything was easy, from booking to contracts to playlist creation (he has an awesome online music library and will play your custom songs, too). He was never more than a phone call or email away, and his easy-​going but detail oriented style made this aspect of planning a cinch. Our guests enjoyed lovely background music during dinner and cocktails, then danced the night away as he gauged the tone/​mood of the crowd. I will definitely recommend his services if the opportunity arises.

After spending hours on the Internet trying to find a DJ for our wedding that did not cost thousands of dollars, I finally found Ray. He’s always responsive to our communication, and very organized too. I also like that he does not nickel and dime you for every mile he drives or every extra minute that he’s at the venue (unlike some other vendors that I researched). For the reception, I only had a few songs that I wanted to play, and the rest I stated as «DJ Choice.» And turns out that I was not wrong to just trust his expertise. Our dance floor was packed, the songs were great, and the transition was smooth. What I also really liked was that he understood that time goes by fast at weddings and the bride does not wear a watch. So he always kept the music playing, but let me know when it was time for the toasts or bouquet toss, and just went with the flow. I highly recommend Ray!

We hire Ray each year for the Sock Hop dance and family night at my childrens’ school in Seattle (kindergarten — 8^th grade). He does a wonderful job of engaging the crowd with family-​friendly music, line dances, hula hoop, bubble-​blowing contests and more. Kids of all ages have a fun evening and there’s always compliments and wonderful feedback from the parents on the great job that Ray does. Ray is very professional and great to work with. We will continue to hire him for our school’s events. I highly recommend Ray!

Ray was awesome! He recently did the music for my wedding, and we had such a great time! He is professional, did what we asked (Do’s and Don’ts), and has reasonable pricing. We definitely recommend him!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Ray at RJ Musical! He did the music for my wedding in January and I couldn’t be happier. He has extremely reasonable pricing, doesn’t nickel and dime you, listened to ALL my do’s & don’ts, isn’t your typically cheesy wedding dj and was fantastic the day of the wedding! Our dance floor was always packed!
I will defiantly use Ray again and would recommend him to anyone!
