Such a great experience from start to finish! No high pressure sales pitch, just a fun conversation planning and thinking through creative options for the kitchen/​pantry. Then the designer puts everything together and works with you on what you’d like to move forward with (if anything). It took 3 — 4 weeks for the order to arrive. The installer, Justin, was awesome! He was in and out in a few hours and we are so happy we made the investment for our kitchen and we’re glad we went with ShelfGenie. The products are great quality, the process was clear and they were flexible on scheduling and great at communicating through the process. I highly recommend them.

After we had our kitchen redone a few years ago, the cabinet maker installed a very thin, yet very nice, pantry next to our fridge. It had 4 static shelves and was very deep. Every time we needed to get something out of any of them, especially the lower ones, we had to pretty much empty the whole shelf, get what we needed, and then restock it. ShelfGenie solved this issue in the pantry, as well as in our messy tupperware area, under the sink, above the microwave, and also created a giant new drawer under the rangetop from what used to just be a facing — amazing! It makes me laugh every time I use these glide outs when I think of how much (literal) pain those spaces used to cause (bad back, bad knees — I’m old okay!!! :))

Worth the investment! Alan came out and did a very thorough walk through of my needs in my kitchen area. There was no high pressure sales pitch and I was able to stay within my budget. I would never want a kitchen that didn’t have these!
They glide very nicely and pull out the entire depth which is unlike many I have had before. I would highly recommend Alan and his professional installers.

the layout of our kitchen was horrible. we had only a couple of drawers and lots of hard-​to-​reach-​dead-​spaces. Now we have a perfectly working kitchen with lots of storage, no dead space and much more functional overall. i believe the value of the house just went up because of these improvements. The initial sales visit was a bit long (about 2 hours) but. the actual installation was a breeze. in only a few hours we had a brand new kitchen setting. They even took extra time to improve existing features of the kitchen. And everybody was friendly and professional.
If i had another kitchen i would definitely hire them again.

I was introduced to the ShelfGenie product at the Seattle Home Show and I made an appointment for them to come to my home to give me an estimate. Alan Regala, the owner, came and he was timely, informative, and patient. Our kitchen cabinets are 20 years old, but I am so happy with them now. I cna’t beleive how much easier it is to gain access to all the items at the back of the shelf I haven’t used for years! We love the results and would recommend them to anyone. Great job!

A sales rep for ShelfGenie came to my house 2 weeks ago to give me an estimate for installing slide out shelves in 2 existing cabinets. He spent ½ hour describing what SG made the materials it used and then took measurements. After entering the data in his computer he told me the units would cost between $ 1100 and $ 1300. He could not print out the estimate with his equipment so I told him to email it. The price (s) quoted were much higher than I expected but I thought I might modify my requirements once I saw the detailed proposal. I still have not received the estimate and do not expect to see it. I think he decided it was not worth his time to follow up on a small job.
I do not waste my time chasing after sales people. If they want my business they have to earn it. I never heard of SG before I started to investigate slide out shelves several weeks ago. But I now see their ads in newspapers and on coupon mailers. These types of promos are expensive and have a low rate of return. Usually, this tells me that a business is in trouble and is grasping at straws to survive. Based on my dealing with SG I found them undependable and unprofessional.

shelfgenie (Alan is the owner) upgraded our kitchen with glide-​out shelves in our pantry and some lower cabinets. I was expecting the initial meeting to only be 30 minutes or so, but they went much more in-​depth than I would have expected, asking lots of questions about how we use the kitchen. It ended up taking more like 1.5 hrs, but it it made sense when done, the more time spent up front the better the install goes. The end result exceeded my expectations.
The install went smooth, in and out in a few hours; nice people all in all.
One BIG bonus: we had a previous installed glide out from another manufacturer, and the installer (at no charge) quicly re cut the old one and re-​sinstalled it in some extra space in another cabinet! This act put the overall project at an A+ for me; a simple gesture went a long way (it took about 20 minutes to do this).
Overall, I’m impressed with their service and their product, and I highly recommend them to anyone who is thinking about adding roll out shelves to their kitchen. Beforehand, our pantry was standard fare– regular shelves, stuff piled inside, and we could never get to the back. In particular, all the baking sheets and pans were hard to access. Same problem with the lower cabinets. We can now access everything in the backs of the cabinets and pantry, and we have a LOT more usable storage space! the designer was very thorough in understanding our needs and explaining the different options.
The pitch wasnt overbearing. Instead, he helped us focus our money on the areas that would give us the biggest bang for our buck. He showed up on time, was very friendly and easy going, and the project went well. the installer did a great job measuring our shelves (making our pull outs as big as possible) and installing the pull outs. He even helped me adjust the doors/​hinges on ALL my cabinets as an added bonus (no charge)!
The total cost ended up being more than we anticipated (though we really had no idea what it would cost). After thinking about other custom work we’ve had done in the house in the past, it’s really not bad, especially considering the quality of the product and the professional design, installation and lifetime warranty. All in all, as someone who cooks ⁶⁄₇ nights a week, having the organization the glide outs provide is a big deal. Overall, I commend shelfgenie and its crew for a job well done, recommend them to anyone (this is the Seattle franchise, BTW). I plan to have more work done from them in the future (2 bathrooms)!

We recently moved into a new condo as we downsized from a large, suburban home. Moving from 3,000 SF to 1,000 SF was a challenge to begin with, but we soon discovered how impractical our new condo cabinets really were — for example, a narrow, deep, floor-​to-​ceiling cabinet offered great promise, but little utility.
After looking at other companies and options (both online and local) we chose to work with Shelf Genie. We have been very happy with both the process, the quality, and the results! First of all, Alan is a great guy with a fantastic eye for space utilization. His product design background really adds valuable perspective. The follow-​up crew who came to measure and verify production details were great as well… solid, professional, personable, and accurate. Our shelves were produced and installed about 4 – 6 weeks later. Each one customized to help us maximize our precious space. What a difference! In all we had 14 shelves and a tray rack installed — they are beautiful!
We have only had them for about a month, but the quality seems great — they are rock-​soliod, fully-​extend, glide well, and can support high weights.
