History

Established in 2002.

For 20+ years, I’ve been privileged enough to DJ many different venues. I began my hobby initially as a DJ performing at college parties and weddings in the mid-​nineties.

After working for some local DJ companies at various school dances and weddings, I decided in 2002 that I wanted to provide a DJ service far beyond what is normally offered, for a better VALUE, so I decided to strike out on my own and start my own business: Adam’s DJ Service! It is now how I make my full-​time income to help feed my family and pay the bills.

Weddings are my specialty, therefore my focus here. Weddings hold a special place in my heart because I was recently married (11 years and counting!), so I know how much time and effort goes into planning the perfect day. I will always go out of my way to make sure that my clients dream wedding comes to fruition.

I do this by providing information to help you plan and customize the music and flow of events for your wedding; I also cover all bases and make sure all steps are taken to ensure that your business transaction with us goes smoothly from beginning to end. Nothing makes me happier than to see a bride and groom, with their guests, enjoying their favorite music on that BIG DAY. And now that I do this full time, my clients use me as a resource to plan their entire event, not just help with music at their event. I can refer the vendors clients need through my relationships within many associations I belong to.

DJ Adam was phenomenal! He did everything we asked for at our wedding. I had to plan from out of town so it was a bit more difficult but I am so glad we decided to have Adam a part of our big day.
He met with us when we came into town and treated us to drinks. He was also available to talk over a phone call.
We wanted our DJ to be entertaining, play games and play good music. It was so difficult to find a DJ for this match but Adam really owned up to it!!!

Adam is simply the BEST! He is so fun and outgoing, and he does everything he can to make sure you are happy. My husband and I met with Adam more than 18 months before our wedding. He came to us (rather than making us drive to him) and we talked about music for nearly 2 hours. Time flew by because Adam was such a pleasure to be around! Just to be safe, we met with one other DJ but we knew the second we met Adam that he was the one.
When we next saw Adam, it was about a week before the wedding and he came over to our house for dinner. Once again, time flew because we were laughing and joking and just enjoying ourselves. Adam went over our wedding day timeline in detail, made notes about introductions for our wedding party (and helped us come up with silly introductions that proved to be a big hit!), and made some suggestions for specific songs to use. He also made a special edit of our introduction song and sent it to me for approval before the wedding. He also suggested playing the shoe game (which ended up being a HUGE hit with our guests!). Adam also went above and beyond by coming to our rehearsal when he heard that my Aunt was our Officiant and it was her first time officiating a wedding. He wanted her to feel comfortable and by doing so, he made our wedding ceremony go so smoothly!
On the day of, Adam was there early and set up his gear quickly and professionally. Between all of the up lighting and the lighting around his gear, the venue never looked so beautiful! Adam worked with our Day-​Of-​Coordinator to ensure the wedding went very smoothly. With the music, Adam played all of our requested songs and mixed them in a way that kept us on the dance floor the whole night!
My husband and I highly recommend Adam. He is very responsive with his emails, and very professional without being stuffy. He is also just so fun to be around! Adam made our wedding a success.

Adam killed it. We had two really great meetings to go over everything, and he helped us decide on things we just weren’t sure about or had ever put much thought into. He had lots of great recommendations for things outside of DJing, so his overall interest in us having a great wedding was so genuine and willing to go above and beyond. What really clinched me being such a fan of Adam though was how much fun the reception was! EVERYONE mentioned how great he was and his experience and attention and care really do show. We initially found Adam on Unilocal when searching for wedding DJs and I was really impressed by his clear pricing and his quick response to my inquiry. He was great to work with at all steps of the process — from planning to the big event.
From the email we wrote to Adam:
We just wanted to let you know that we thought the whole process — from initially meeting with you until the actual wedding — was great! You were always prepared and personable. You made us feel very comfortable and had great ideas for our big day. We especially liked the suggestion to do a receiving line before the buffet. It worked out great and tons of people complimented us on it.
We got so many rave reviews on both our ceremony and reception music! Plus, the dance floor was full all night, which is what I was really hoping for. You also kept the flow going so nothing ran late — even though you battled the car gods to get there and get set up on time. We couldn’t have asked for a better DJ. As I told you the night of the wedding… I danced so much, my updo fell out! Watching our wedding video was amazing and hilarious. People were busting out all the moves. Adam was the DJ for our wedding last week, and we couldn’t be happier with how things went. He came very highly recommended from our venue (MV Skansonia), and now we know why! Adam met with us at a coffee shop to start the conversation about 8 months before the wedding, and was incredibly responsive every time we contacted him with a question via email. A week before our wedding, he came to our house to go over all of the details of our ceremony… who was who in our families, how we wanted things to go, what our style was going to be. He struck the perfect balance of respecting our requests and making recommendations. Adam recommended playing the Muppets’ «Somebody’s Getting Married» to start our ceremony, and our guests loved it! At the wedding, Adam worked seamlessly with the venue, our photographers, and our videographer to make the night a huge success. He kept the party moving smoothly, and afterwards our guests were commenting on how great the music was. Do yourself a favor and include Adam in your event team!

At first my Fiancé (now wife) was not on board for hiring a professional DJ service for our wedding. After some convincing and reading several pages of Unilocal reviews we decided to hire Adam. BEST DECISION WE MADE HANDS DOWN! Yes, Adam provides all the DJ services you will need to take you through the ceremony to late night dancing, but he was much more than than to us. He was essentially a wedding planner that also handled the DJing. Without him and his assistant our wedding would have been a huge jumbled mess. Adam took the time to sit down with us a few weeks before the wedding to make sure every detail was worked out and made sure we had a concrete script for how things would go. He was extremely knowledgeable on the process as well as finding music/​songs for us that weren’t the «same olé’ wedding music». Communication, knowledge, professionalism all 5 stars ++++.

One of the best decisions we made concerning our wedding was hiring Adam Tiegs to be our DJ and Emcee for big day. I say Emcee because he wasn’t just a DJ he controlled the flow of the entire night, from narrating, to making sure we kept on schedule, to going with the flow he did it all. I know so many people who have gone with really inexpensive DJ’s and have haven’t had as good of a experience. My advice to you splurge on the DJ and photographers!
Everyone kept coming up to us to let us know what a great job Adam and his assistant, Jamie were doing.
Do yourself a favor and save a lot of stress and hire Adam, you won’t regret it!

My husband and I were in search of a DJ with fun lighting options and Adam came highly recommended by our venue coordinator. At our first meeting, Adam really won us over with his upbeat personality, sense of humor, and presentation of his lighting and music services. He was more than willing to work with us on a custom package that fit our needs and price range. Communication with him was always fast and easy.
Two weeks before the wedding, we had our final meeting to go over what kind of music we wanted played and day-​of schedule. We presented him with his filled out music planner form along with a list of songs we liked for reference and I felt he immediately understood our music style as all his suggestions going forward were spot on. My one concern was mixing since I hate mixes that make songs nearly unrecognizable, but Adam told me not to worry. In the end, we specified types of music for each part of the reception and let him to choose the songs.
At the wedding, Adam did a fantastic job. The uplighting and monogram really added to our venue décor since the walls and floors were all concrete. He suggested the shoe game (we had never heard of it) and it was a huge hit with all our guests! We really can’t say enough about how awesome the music turned out. My prior concern about unrecognizable mixed songs was not an issue. In fact, he did an excellent job mixing many of the songs on the list we provided plus more. The dance floor was going all night and there wasn’t a single song we didn’t like.
The thing we liked most about Adam is his genuine desire to make your event fun, memorable, and overall successful. He certainly achieved this at our wedding and I really think his music and lighting tied everything together. We would certainly recommend him to everyone!

Adam was the DJ for our wedding last summer in Seattle. If you don’t have time to read further, then bottom line, Adam blew away our expectations and I would strongly recommend him to anyone looking for a DJ (wedding, party, etc…). Adam was professional and fully prepared for our wedding. He provided audio for the ceremony, our outdoor cocktail hour, and the dance floor which was indoors. The lights and sound quality were first rate. But, wait, it gets better. Not only is Adam highly proficient, he loves what he does and it shows. Adam met with us twice before our wedding to shares music and entertainment ideas. His ideas from songs lists, to wedding games, to introducing the bride and groom were awesome and went over well.
If you’re looking for a great DJ who loves what they do and knows what they’re doing, then look no further than Adam. I’m very thankful we hired Adam to DJ our wedding.

Adam is AMAZING. I researched pretty much every DJ in Seattle when we began planning for our wedding and he stood out early on. He was the first one to return my call, and really seemed to want to work with me to understand what I wanted, try to fit my budget, etc. He was super friendly, professional, and clearly knew what he was doing.
We hired him after a skype interview since we were out of town planners and he stayed in touch for the whole planning process, and later met with us for a multiple hour meeting in Seattle (came over to the house!) a few months before the wedding where we went over our timeline thoroughly. He was able to suggest the perfect songs to fill in any gaps where we couldn’t pick a song, he put together an amazing slideshow for us that he took the trouble to even re-​do when we decided to change pictures around, and then he shocked us on the day-​of with some amazing uplighting for the reception that we absolutely LOVED. I had multiple picky requests for different announcements, timing of ceremony music, etc. etc. and they were all executed perfectly. He checked in with me every time we had to decide if we wanted to go off schedule during the evening.
Everyone who attended the wedding said it was the most fun they’ve ever had at a wedding and we know Adam was a huge part of that. The ceremony was beautiful and the reception was a big party — a total blast. We are SO grateful for him and his help — it truly felt like he was a part of our team and wanted everything to go well as much as we did and that made all the difference. He knows a bunch of other vendors in the industry in Seattle and is well-​liked, too; our coordinator had worked with him before and loved him so that was an added perk. We really did feel like we had a team on our side for the wedding. Love love love Adam… look no further guys, I’ve done SO much research picking out vendors. Adam is the way to go! Thank you!!!

I work with a lot of DJ’s as a wedding photographer and I was pretty excited to be able to write something nice about him after I got done photographing. I was surprised, and then not really surprised to see 21 excellent reviews of his service! Being a fellow vendor I like to see someone as interested in their profession as he is. Even though he was under a pretty short deadline putting together a slide show for the couple, he came through nicely. His music tempo was perfect for the crowd, and the dance floor was full all the time. He played lively dance music for all ages. He stepped in when he needed to and let things happen when they were going fine. I love working with people that love what they are doing, and Adam loves what he does.
I will be recommending him for my clients in the future!

There is only one word wo describe Adam’s DJ Service, Outstanding.
We were refered to Adam through Brook, at Hotel 1000, where we had out wedding reception. From the first day we met with Adam, we knew we would be using him, especially since on his web site, there are a couple of impoortant questions you need to ask yourself and the potential D.J.
It also helped that he knew the people at Aria Style, who did our décor/​table settings. The two of them worked hand in hand and everything went seamless and flawlessly.
A week before our wedding, Adam spent about two and a half hours at our house, going over our timeline and getting to know the style of music we liked and what we wanted played at our wedding.
At the actual event, Adam was very professional and kept to our plan. Everyone had a great time.
I would definately reccomend Adam to anyone having any sort of event.

Really great wedding DJ! Just had him at my best friends outdoor wedding this part weekend. The wedding went a bit longer than expected, and Adam happily continued to play to the full dance floor.
He did a great job of reading the tone of the event and providing the appropriate musical ambiance for the moment.

Adam from Adam’s DJ Service, was the DJ at my wedding, & I can chalk up his services to one word, PHENOMINAL!!!
I had no idea where to start to find a DJ, and my friend who had recently gotten married just raved about Adam and his spectacular service. I went online and made an appointment with Adam to talk with me and my new husband about how we wanted our wedding to flow. After 20 minutes of talking with Adam, we were sold! Adam kept in constant communication with us, spent hours with us, choosing lighting, choosing the flow of the wedding, choosing music. Adam also went above and beyond, driving from Milton to Bellevue in rush hour traffic to meet at our hotel where the reception was going to be held to look at the size of the room, meet with the hotel staff he would be working with the day of.etc. Needleless to say our wedding was spectacular & flowed beautifully! I keep hearing to this day about how awesome everyone thought the DJ was…100% could not agree more!
Adam is worth every penny & will make your wedding, or whatever event you are doing incredible!

When I first started looking at DJs for our Seattle wedding, I trawled Unilocal and WeddingWire and a number of other sites, and came up with six or eight strong possibilites. But after reading reviews and recommendations I narrowed it down to three. We live in the Los Angeles area, so it was going to be challenging to meet up with DJs to see who we meshed with best. But my immediate gut feeling from the info I’d read was to go with Adam’s DJ Service, so I dropped them a line first.
I didn’t hear back right away, and I figured this was probably because — hey, we were putting together a wedding in about six weeks, they were probably all booked up. I started exploring a few other DJs, but wasn’t really feeling it. So a few days later I lobbed Adam’s an email a second way just to see if my first reach-​out had landed in a spam bucket or something. Adam replied back nearly immediately, and I let out the breath I had been unknowingly holding in. Adam connected me up with DJ Joel for a chat, and when we talked on the phone the next day I knew within a few minutes that we were in great hands.
One of the things that I really appreciated about Adam’s DJ Service that I didn’t expect is that they shot me over a list of all the songs I’d need to choose for the wedding (for example, walk-​in music, grand entrance music, first dance, etc) and also sent over a list of the most popular songs that had been chosen for each of these at previous weddings the past few years. These lists helped me get organized, and were an incredibly handy reference to choose from — random Google searches were only getting me so far.
On the day of the event, Joel played the songs we wanted, had songs at the ready that I didn’t expect him to have, and worked hard to get people out on the dance floor. But I have to admit, what I appreciated even more than how good he was as a DJ turned out to be how good he was at making sure our wedding was working — Joel knew where the typical gaps and lulls were and filled them, he made announcements at the right time to keep things moving along, worked with the venue staff to make sure things ran smoothly, and generally went above and beyond in all sorts of little ways that I didn’t expect and always appreciated.
I’m glad I went with my gut and worked with Joel and Adam’s DJ Service. They helped make sure our wedding day was great!

Adam was the DJ at my wedding and did an amazing job. He played all of the songs we requested and sprinkled in some classics to keep the dance floor full. Not only was his music selection and equipment top notch but he sat down with my wife and I to make sure we were on the same page with everything. Adam is very passionate about what he does for a living and it shows. He is very professional and his prices are reasonable. He’s been doing this for a long time so you can trust him when it comes to music selection and agenda.
I was inspired to write this review because I just left a friends wedding who used Adams DJ Service. Another great set for another great wedding!
