Stephanie and her team are absolutely amazing! My splurge for the wedding was hiring them and it was worth every penny. They know the Tahoe area very well which is so important when planning a wedding in Tahoe to get everything you want. They were available at any time throughout the entire wedding planning process. They listened to all of my wants and concerns and handled every request we threw at them. If there were any problems I never knew about them. Stephanie, Julie and Vanessa made sure our guests, as well as ourselves, were well taken care of. It was an absolutely perfect evening, mainly in part to the OFD girls knowing how to plan an event that goes off without a hitch!
Our wedding guests are raving about our wedding and many have said it was the best they had ever been to.
I would hire these girls again in an instant!

I can’t say enough good things about Stephanie, Paige and the rest of the One Fine Day team. My husband and I have been to A LOT of weddings. In fact, we met at a wedding and our first five dates were at weddings. When it came time for us to take the plunge, we knew we wanted our big day to be a one-​of-​a-​kind reflection of us. Something classic, creative and personal. Living in San Francisco, we knew we would need a wedding planner to make our vision come true. After meeting with a couple of vendors, One Fine Day was the obvious choice.
I’m a planner at heart and I certainly didn’t want to show up to a wedding that someone else had planned. They helped us find the best vendors in Lake Tahoe and always steered us in the right direction, while allowing us to call the shots. We made sure to add personal touches that reflected us and celebrated our fabulous location.
I’m most grateful for their help in finding our venue. After taking us on a tour of nearly 5 venues, it just wasn’t clicking for us. I was nervous to tell Stephanie that we hadn’t nailed it yet, but if there is ever a time in your life to be picky, it is your wedding day. She was so understanding and suggested a private estate that fit all of our criteria. Without One Fine Day, I would never have had access to a venue like that, which made all the difference in the world.
In the time leading up to our event, I was completely trusting in One Fine Day’s vendors recommendations, timelines, budget suggestions and advice. Anything we threw at them… a beer tasting/​wine tasting bar during cocktail hour, an arrival by boat, a snafu with the florist, a last-​minute location change to our day-​after brunch, a guest who had the wrong address, a groomsmen who jumped in the lake… they handled it all with ease. During the weekend of our wedding, they RAN THE SHOW. I’m so appreciative of the long hours and hard work that the team put it to make our day so special.
While planning a wedding, you quickly learn that you can’t please everyone. But at the end of the day, the wedding is about the bride and groom. The One Fine Day team managed to make our wedding day dreams come true, while creating a fabulous event for our friends and family. Looking back on our wedding day, it was exactly how I had pictured it, but infinitely better. I was so touched to receive the compliment, «This wedding is so you guys.» several times that night and since. I am incredibly grateful to have shared Lake Tahoe with my favorite people and I have One Fine Day to thank.

Stephanie and Paige at One Fine Day events are absolutely amazing!!! They planned our August Tahoe wedding and it was absolutely everything that I ever could have dreamed of. They understood our style and vision and nailed it on the day.
I really enjoyed all of my meetings with Stephanie and Paige — they work hard to get to know their clients and understand what they want for such a special day. I think of it as some of the best money spent on a wedding. They are experts in the area and are very knowledgable. They work great with all of the other vendors. I was able to truly relax and enjoy the day, as I knew that everything was under control.
I would highly recommend going with One Fine Day Events — they are so wonderful and will be able to provide you with the day of your dreams!

Stephanie and Paige were fantastic to work with. I did not think I needed a wedding planner, but a friend convinced me it would be really helpful for last minute peace of mind. All I can say is thank god I did it, because instead of gorgeous weather in September, it rained all day, then snowed, and we had to relocate the entire wedding ceremony at 4pm for a 5pm start. I literally could not have handled it without them, and would not have enjoyed my wedding if I had to worry about all the details of a major last minute relocation.
Of course you don’t plan for that kind of change on the day of. But all I can say now is you never know. And it was an investment that, even if we didn’t have that big of a change, would have been well worth it. Stephanie and Paige were great with vendor recommendations, management, and all the finer details that I thought I had covered, but realized how great it was to let someone else be in charge.
I can’t recommend them enough!

Stephanie at One Fine Day Events was my wedding planner for my wedding in Lake Tahoe on July 28, 2012. I was planning the wedding from NYC And we were having it at my parents’ lakehouse in Tahoe, but they live in San Francisco — so it was a destination wedding for everyone!
Thanks to Stephanie, the day went so smoothly and she did so much behind the scenes to make that happen! Everything looked so gorgeous — the flowers, table settings, lighting, tent décor and all the small touches she thought of like the hanging flowers and pinecone escort card creation and guest book cards and I could go on and on! My parents told me later about a wasps nest emergency that was found right before the wedding began and Stephanie organized an exterminator to come out on a Saturday with no notice (and he didn’t even charge us a fortune!) and fix it — thank god I had no knowledge of it or I would have been freaking out! That fix alone made having a wedding planner worth it.
Dealing with Stephanie and Paige in the year leading up to the wedding was a pleasure. I interviewed many wedding planners and chose Stephanie because she seemed confident, organized, and she shared my vision that we could fit 75 people in the backyard of my parents lakehouse and make it a beautiful wedding.
Somehow, she pulled it off!
I am on my phone all the time and respond to all emails within 5 mins, and it did take me a little while to get used to the fact that sometimes it took Stephanie a day or two to respond to me on email, particularly if I asked her to look into something with another vendor. A large part of this is because all the vendors in Lake Tahoe work at a very ‘relaxed’ pace and take awhile to get back to people, so it would take Stephanie a bit of time to get answers for us, which wasn’t her fault. So just know that when planning a wedding in Tahoe!
We had people in Lake Tahoe for the entire week before the wedding and Stephanie worked with all of them to make sure everyone had info about housing, babysitters, etc etc. .All of the work she did leading up to the wedding and the wedding week events was extremely thorough which actually allowed my now-​husband and I to relax and enjoy ourselves that week! I got so many compliments from people on the wedding and on how helpful my planner was.
Every single vendor Stephanie recommended was absolutely OUTSTANDING. I was so so impressed and I know she must have gone through a huge vetting process to ensure that the vendors she recommends always deliver.
Throughout the year Stephanie visited my home in Lake Tahoe while we weren’t there to measure and got the tent company in and arranged for everything. She met with the landscaper on site to ensure the florals were all beautiful and even measured the water depth multiple times to see whether we could land a boat on the pier on the wedding day. We met with Stephanie in March to do a tasting and go over florals and décor and she was fabulous and made us feel so calm and at ease.
The week we arrived Stephanie went above and beyond the call of duty. She drove me to my hair trial 30 mins away in Truckee because I can’t drive. She even drove me to Verizon the day before the wedding to see if I could get a new phone since I dropped mine in the lake. She hand delivered gift bags to everyone in our party and was on hand at all the events (welcome dinner, happy hour and of course the wedding) to make sure everything went smoothly. Every single one of her staff was friendly, SO nice and SO SO helpful (Paige her assistant is amazing).
Choosing the ‘full’ wedding planner package and choosing Stephanie as our planner was the best decision I could have made. I don’t know how I would have pulled together that wedding week extravaganza from NYC without her, and she really incorporated so many personal touches into the wedding that it totally felt like our own. It’s been 3 months and people are still talking about how wonderful it was, and I really do owe this to Stephanie — I left the flower arrangements, table set up, tent, etc. all up to her (I’m not very design-​y) and she understood exactly the look I imagined and somehow made it even better. The things I wanted to be involved in, she gave me free reign over, and the things I wanted her to handle, she handled to perfection.
She also stayed within our budget to a tee — even with last minute emergency things we needed (she budgets for that!). That was EXTREMELY important to me, and mine wasn’t a huge budget. She really was worth every penny because her negotiating saved us so much money and got the most out of each vendor possible. I am happy to answer any questions anyone might have about Stephanie’s work, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her wholeheartedly. She is smart, capable, and a perfectionist — exactly what you want in a wedding planner. Plus she is extremely nice and funny, which made being in touch with her constantly for a year an absolute pleasure.

My wedding day was absolutely amazing and I truly could not have done it without the help of Stephanie at One Fine Day. I didn’t really think that I would need a wedding planner, but the venue we chose required one. After meeting with Stephanie she created a package that met my needs and budget.
I did a lot of the planning myself and Stephanie stepped in as we got closer to the date and flawlessly executed all of the little details. She always had our best interests at heart and was able to advocate for us with all the various vendors involved. She also took on all of the last minute confirmations and planning that would have really stressed me out and taken the enjoyment out of the two weeks leading up to the big day. Not to mention the fact that I’m sure I would have forgotten to do something if I tried to take it all on myself! I had a lot of personal touches that I wanted as part of the ceremony and reception and she and her assistant worked tirelessly all day to set things up perfectly while my mom, bridesmaids and I got to relax and get our hair and makeup done.
I still get so many compliments on our wedding and I tell everyone that it would not have been the same without Stephanie!

One Fine Day was the the most critical decision I made during my wedding planning, and my only regret was that I did not hire them earlier in the process! They were detail-​oriented, professional, thoughtful and incredibly creative. They even helped make the wedding planning process fun! The whole day was flawless and they made everything so easy for me and the guests. They are perfectionists and such a pleasure to work with.

About one year ago we hired One Fine Day to do the day-​of coordinating for our wedding. Let me just say that Stephanie went so far above and beyond what we expected for day-​of coordination. We had a VERY challenging wedding– an outside ceremony on Squaw Mountain during a blizzard in February, followed by a two-​room reception at Plumpjack Inn. It could have been a disaster, but it was a delight thanks to One Fine Day. Stephanie will be as involved or as uninvolved as you want her to be. I highly recommend One Fine Day!
