Amazing customer service! We were greeted by Anthony, who eagerly presented multiple tricks for our group. He recommended products based on skill level and gave tips in regard to how to learn. The store is full of product, with no shortage of supplies for whatever your magical heart desires. Not to mention the huge selection of cool looking card decks. Great experience, would recommended to
Magicians of any skill level.

I really wanted to give a 5 star review and support a local brick and mortar magic shop but I can’t. The owner Brent has horrible customer service and refused to credit me back for not giving me a 10% discount for being a Magic Castle member. I have my receipt and its just 4 days after my purchase was made, but he refused to help me in any way. I told him that it didn’t have to be a monetary compensation (equal to $ 10) and that I am willing to accept what they are willing to offer and he told me no. I told him that that is way out and that I couldn’t believe it and he said «cool». Honestly I’ve never given a negative review on Unilocal nor in any form regarding a magic shop of any kind, but customer service is what separates the good from the bad and thus here is my first negative review. I will not spend more $ and drive out of my way anymore to support Brent and his shop when I am regarded in such a way that I feel like I am being taken advantage of. I will follow the trend and shop for my magic online.

I have been involved with magic for about 46 years out of the New York area and try to visit magic shops as I travel. Brent and Anthony run a nice shop and were friendly and open to chatting. They keep a nice selection on hand and can order other effects. No pressure to buy and they seemed knowledgable. I would shop there again.

I am giving this a 4-​star review because I love coming here, but…
BEWARE when you buy a trick here. Be sure to ask if what you’ve bought is the trick itself or if it’s just the DVD. I recently bought the Rainmaker trick, only to open it and find that it’s only the DVD tutorial, which is online anyway. The actual trick dollars were not included. I already knew how to do the trick, so my $ 15 were wasted on a tutorial that I didn’t need. I guess I’ll have to make the trick dollars myself.
Other than that experience, the tricks I’ve bought from them have packed a punch every time I’ve performed them. Having a touch of spectacle really elevates your show from just being a string of card tricks (even though I personally love card tricks).

Probably the most important and last of its kind true magic shop. The Magic Apple is still holding it down in all areas of magic. Personally I go for the close up stuff – but Brent G. and Anthony are the Studio City, Hollywood, NoHo, Sherman Oaks, Hollywood Hills and all other areas in the Los Angeles county that are thee authorities when it comes to any form of magic/​illusions. They don’t just sell the tricks, they offer courses too. Most likely you’re bound to run into one of the pros of the art, like Steve Valentine… or Scott Bays, or Howard from the Castle, or any of the other regulars that spend their days practicing and practicing some more, you won’t find another place like it on earth. The Magic Apple is a special one of kind place, with one of kind people.

A great, old fashioned brick and mortar magic shop right here in L.A. Brent Geris and his very friendly team have created an environment where magicians can feel right at home and non magicians can be amazed. I love this place. They are true purveyors of all things magical. My daughter and I stopped in to say hello and were treated like family, even though I’ve only been in there twice. A great place to come and talk shop, hang out and buy some great magic for pros and beginners and everyone in-​between. Come and see this store of wonders!

The best magic shop in LA! They have everything you could ever want. They offer lessons as well and are always very helpful when you come in. However, my favorite thing about this place is the community and culture they are building. You can tell if you want to meet some of the local magic scene, this is the place to hangout. I signed up for their mailing list and they send info about lectures they have on site, magic related events around the city and more! They recommend a magic expo that was happening in Burbank that I wouldn’t have known was going on otherwise and had an absolute blast! If you’re looking for a magic shop, this is the best LA has to offer in my opinion.

Great store with helpful staff. They take the time to match the magician’s skill with tricks that they can learn and grow into. They listen to the customer and guide as well as demonstrate tricks until the perfect ones are found.

Amazing place to get all of your magic needs fulfilled. Whether your a professional, an amateur or just getting something for your kids to learn and enjoy. This is the place to go! They also have lectures and the staff is tremendous and very knowledgeable.
Whenever I come I feel welcome and leave with something exciting!

The guys are great there. knowledgable and willing to share insights. I was recommended to them by a good friend and he was right in sending me there.

I was recommended by a magician to check out the Magic Apple if I was serious about learning some magic. I stopped by the shop with one of my friends and the employees were so helpful and entertaining. They showed us a few tricks and amazed us.
We each bought the Card College Volume 1 book and fancy decks of cards. In fact, if you are looking for cards the Magic Apple is your spot. They have so many decks to choose from. Who knew that it would be such a tough choice?!
After I learn some tricks I am going to go back and show the employees. They are great and if you want to learn magic this is your spot to start.

I came here to take a private lesson because the reviews were so positive. I met with the owner Brent and he was very nice to my wife and I. We both don’t know anything about magic and he took the time to explain a bit about magic and walk is through some simple card tricks to get us going.
If you’re looking to learn something new, I would suggest you schedule a lesson. Also Brent does tour at Magic Castle now and then.

I came in here to buy Christmas gifts for my nephew. I had no clue what to get. The staff was friendly and knew their stuff. Thanks guys for making me my nephews favorite Aunt:)

We found this place from the great Unilocal review (thanks Unilocalers!) and had a great time, we experienced excellent, engaging and interactive service from Anthony who demonstrated several «tricks» suitable for our level. He was very friendly, warm, patient and genuinely loves what he does. He was very inclusive, involving us and another family with his demonstrations. We ended up buying several of them and can’t wait to start practicing with them to wow family and friends. Would definitely go back and highly recommend!

Still haven’t return. Go to Penguin Magic. Get it without the rudeness and pay less at the same time. A LOT LESS. On line magic stores will demo everything in videos now-​a-​days.

Great store to quench your thirst for magic tricks or party gags. Prices are reasonable and the staff is great!!!

I walked in one afternoon to buy some supplies. I can easily spend a paycheck at a magic shop. There was about 3 guys working that day. There might’ve been 2 to 3 customers in the store, total.
The employees were total douche bags! They were rude and furthermore, they did not want to demo any of the magic in the display cases. Every time I asked for a demo, they directed me towards their desktop computer screen so I could watch a stupid commercial for the product.
Btw, the short, fat guy with glasses that was supposedly helping out that day? I am 100% sure he had alcohol on his breath.
It’s sad to see one of the only magic stores left, being ran by total jerks!
I will NEVER go back.
