Misleading. They bait and switch customers. Its 2016 the least you could give a customer is honesty. You failed at step one.

My wife and I felt scammed after we bought our vehicle from Don McCue. We were promised things via text message but they couldn’t honor it because it «wasn’t in writing». We will never bring our business back to Don McCue in St Charles. If you’re smart, you won’t take your business there either.

Truly the worst dealership. To make a very long story short, a year after purchasing a «certified pre owned» car from here we discovered the car was illegally certified. We tried trading in elsewhere and they discovered the car was previously in a serious accident with framework damage. It is ILLEGAL to certify a car like this. Our car instantly was several thousand dollars less in a trade in value because of their lie.
When I confronted the dealership I NEVER got an apology, explanation, or helpful solution. They said «it happens and we can help you out and get you a new car here». No chance was I doing business with then again.
Not to mention I was disrespected by the management on the phone following the situation. Had they accepted ownership of fault and been kind to me I wouldn’t have been so upset, but they didn’t.
If we wanted to pursue litigation we could have but they’re really not worth my time. They aren’t worth your time either. Please don’t buy a car from them as they cannot be trusted and are simply rude people.

Joe Howland is a great guy! We have purchased 7 or 8 cars from him and will continue to only buy from him! This past Labor Day weekend he helped my Son purchase the sports car he had been looking for a 2015 Camaro 1le. He also got him a great deal! I will NEVER take my car to this dealership again.
I bought my car in 2011 as a certified pre-​owned car so it still had both warrantees. When I bought the car, the sales guy told me the one warranty included 4 oil changes. COOL! So when my car finally needed an oil change I brought it here and told the guy it was covered under the warranty. He then told me it wasn’t and I had to buy the service package (which I didn’t) for it to be covered. Fast forward two years of paying for oil changes and I bring my car to the Naperville Chevy and they tell me my oil changes are covered but I was then near 36,000 miles when the warranty would expire so I was basically screwed.
So on Saturday I needed an oil change so I thought I would come here so I could then go to the Commons to run errands. I needed an oil change and my brakes checked. They did the service, everything was fine, I left and then on Sunday my husband and I are driving in my car and we notice the A/​C is blowing at about half of what it was before my car was serviced. It’s REALLY loud and not blowing at all. So now I have to return to get that fixed. Of course when all this week it has been 90+ and my car is a sweatbox.
Needless to say, I will give my business to the Schaumburg Chevy from now on.

Recently I purchased a Lincoln Navigator and love it! I had a great experience at the Dealership working w/​Greg (sales) and the wonderful finance manager John Hernandez. I had couple of minor issues w/​my truck but thanks to John H. He went above and beyond to help me fix the issue I was having. He was very helpful, friendly and did everything to help me get my issue taken care of w/​no hesitation. Now this is what you call a team w/​excellent customer service. John, I appreciate your assuredness… Thank you for everything!

Purchased two vehicles from this dealership. They drag the process of buying a car on forever! The service shop is a joke they are rude, inconsiderate, and lie about the time for services. Brought my car in for an oil change with an appointment and it took over two hours. Very frustrating when you are told 30 – 45 minutes.

Stopped in to look for a used car. I did not feel as the Salesman had my best interest in mind. I would not go back nor recommend.

NEVER I repeat NEVER buy a car from them. I purchased a 2008 pre –owned vehicle from them in 2013. From the time I bought the car & drove it off the lot it has been nothing but a headache. I ASKED them to show me a Car fax, which they said everything was good w/​the car & their was nothing short of a LIE… I have had a issue w/​timing chain & brakes and & serpentine belt etc. I went their to speak w/​the Sales Managers Dan Allaire regarding my vehicle & get me into another reliable car. I was treated very rude as well as my time was completely wasted. I was kept waiting for hours 2 hrs & never shown any vehicles. Then when I finally received service I was continuously pressured into trying to buy a car that they wanted me to purchase… they never addressed my problems or concerns regarding the Lemon they Sold me… As a result I left feeling completely Upset & takin advantage of. I will never buy or refer anyone to them.

This was my first time bringing my car in for service here, and service was great. They called within a couple hours with a diagnosis and quote, called a few hours later, and it was fixed, and then Bill told me he applied an oil change coupon and a service coupon for the repair, without me even asking, and so knocked the price even lower than the quote. Car was fixed and washed and ready when I went to pick it up. So nothing earth shattering, but good, fast all around service and everyone was courteous. and it has been two days and the car still seems to be fixed… always a plus :-)

Terrible. Bait and switch on price. They promised my wife a price online and in several emails, but would not honor it when we got there. Sales manager is rude as can be. Never, never go there.

I bought a vehicle from here. Certified pre-​owned. So that came with two year free maintenance or 24K miles whichever comes first. Service writer suggested I buy an additional two/​24K maintenance to take me out to 4 years. Well that doesn’t work like that and they both run concurrently. How nice why sell something to someone and lie to them? I mean who in their right mind would buy an extended maintenance plan for nothing? I call to ask about the situation «we will call you back…» Yeah I’m sure. «Check is in the mail.» I call and follow up at least once a week. Still waiting for a call back…
The person who sold us the car has always been friendly and professional. No regrets there but I don’t like the service department.
Unfortunately due to them I will not buy a car from Don McCue again.

Don McCue is horrible! I’ll never get a vehicle from them again! My husband brought his truck in several times for the ABS light coming on and he hasn’t even had it a year yet! Every time they said they couldn’t check the problem unless the light was actually on at the time he brought the truck in. When he was finally able to get it to them while the light was on they said they could fix it for $ 250 and it wasn’t covered under his warranty. After they «fixed» it the ABS light came on as soon he drove off the lot! They then charged us another $ 100 to fix the problem they never fixed in the first place! Terrible service!

Never buy a car from them they are lyres I bought a used car from them and they showed me the car fax it was clean the tpms light was on I asked them about it and they said all you have to do is put air in the tires so i beloved them I bought the car went to the gas station to put air the light was still on so I decided to take it to the Acura dealer I told them the problem and the service advisor told me it would cost $ 1000 to fix it and the car has no warranty do to a accident he told me that don mcCue Chevrolet brought it here yesterday to fix it and they didn’t want to pay the $ 1000 so they took it back.

I have NOT bought or leased a car through Don McCue, but I still like their service department a lot. For GM gearheads, Don McCue is THE place to go if you need random things that only a dealership can give you, such as an RPO build sheet printout or if you need to use a Tech2 for a few minutes to figure out why your PCM is acting up. These guys are always willing to lend a hand to enthusiasts, which earns them 5 stars in my book.
