Location, location, location… That’s about the only thing going for this place. It’s central to many shops, restaurants, and a market. Shuttle is close. Pool was dirty, construction materials were stored along back by the pool entry, room faucet was leaking, room had an odor, and tv was blurry. Room service didn’t clean my room the second night but instead asked if there was any thing we needed. Stairway to the second floor was badly damaged with one step showing rebar. Would I stay here again? Sure… If I booked late again and didn’t have any other options. Case and point: Leave this as a last resort.

Great location! Super convenient location, walking distance to a lot of shops and restaurants. close by bus stop to entrance of Zion Park. I booked my reservations(4 rooms each with 2 queen beds for a family trip) through 3 months in advance and to my horror Pioneer Lodge had no record of my reservations!!!(major fail on …I will never book thru them again and I can’t wait to let them have it)… Thank goodness I saved my reservation in my email and thank you to the very kind and concerned staff and concerned general manager and by the grace of God had rooms still avail to accommodate us… otherwise this trip that took planning and took us 6 – 8 hours to get here would have have been a total and utterly full blown disaster for 4 families with kids. Ben, general manager did his best to accommodate us all getting 3 of us 2 queen bed rooms and he gave me the suite with one King bed. which was roomy and comfortable and clean. We were all very happy and pleased he worked things out for us. They have a variety of coffees, hot chocolate and juices and a comfy lobby area with friendly staff. I would definitely stay here again, but book directly with the hotel. not third party.

Close to Zion but I would find somewhere else. When I walked in to the room I noticed that one of the decoration pillows had stains on it. I also saw some leftover hair in the shower. Seems like cleaning staff need to step it up here. The beds are not super comfortable but they get the job done. There’s a TV, mini fridge, and microwave in every room. Our air conditioner didn’t work either — no matter how many times we fiddled with it. I would have rather paid a bit more to stay in a nicer place. With no guaranteed AC, questionable cleanliness, and dated room style — I wouldn’t come back.

Lodging can play a big role in the overall aspect of a travel experience. This lodge didn’t get the memo. Upon walking into the lobby with high spirits, my hopes and joys of resting were shot down quickly, when the older gentleman working behind the counter immediately says«no early check ins» …Maybe a hello would have softened the shock of the immediate unfriendliness of the hotel employee. I left and came back a few hours later, hoping my check in would go a bit smoother. It’s another person working behind the counter. Not a hello, nor a smile on her face when I walked thru the door but I remained friendly. I gave«Becca» my last name and she proceeded to spew out pure attitude when I asked which card we used for the pre-payment. FYI: when a customer books a hotel on an online website, you don’t tell your guest that their room was paid for by «the company’s Amex card» So when I said I don’t have a company credit card, could that be a mistake? she rolled her eyes and started talking down to me– it took her a good minute just to say it was paid for through the website. WELLDUH. so you should have just said that. I didn’t need the 1 minute long explanation of you talking down to me to tell me a one sentence answer. I didn’t appreciate it. It seems like you’re an unhappy person. You should do something to change that. 0 stars for you. 1 star for a working bathroom and refrigerator. The sheets were stained AND I ACCIDENTALLYSTEPPEDON A COCKROACHINOURROOM. Filthy. Air conditioner didn’t work and when we told the older gentleman upon our check out, again more attitude. OK we won’t come back and we already told several people about your establishment while taking the shuttles thru town.

Our family of four stayed here for 3 nights. We were comfortable and pleased with our stay. The rooms have fridge and microwave which is a great plus. The lodge is 10 minutes walk from the entrance of the Zion National Park. Beds are comfortable and the bathrooms clean. Would stay here again.

It was clean, inexpensive, quaint, and comfortable. Within a stones throw from the park I would highly recommend this lodge. We have a young daughter and I asked for a crib the day we checked in. The same day they bought a new crib for her and delivered it to our door. For food I’d go and eat at Wild Willie’s down the street;)

Don’t eat here unless you like frustration and the worst service possible. After waiting for over 30 minutes for a club sandwich I left. There were only 3 tables total and they couldn’t handle even that. They screwed up the peoples order next to us and also served them first even tho they came in at least 15 minutes after I came in. No hostess and the server looked high dead serious, don’t go here. They deserve zero stars

After backpacking in Zion for several days, we wanted a nice hotel to stay at and rejuvenate. While the proximity of Pioneer is convenient(2 minute drive from the zion park gate), the service at the hotel is sub par. My friends and I walked into the hotel lobby a few hours after getting settled into our room, and the lady at the front desk didn’t even look up from the computer or acknowledge our existence until we started talking to her. The jacuzzi was luke warm because the heater was broken. And we were woken up early in the morning by housekeeping knocking on our door, entering the room, then swearing when she saw that there were still people in the room(this was several hours before checkout time). All in all I think that the hotel has potential, but they need to tighten up their operations a lot more before I’d recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great customer service, clean and efficient rooms. Our room had comfortable beds, a tv with cable, clean bathroom, plenty of towels, microwave, fridge, and coffeemaker. We had to leave two days earlier than we originally reserved due to family issues and they refunded us the remaining two days we had to leave. We booked directly with them which is best than booking through a third party when it comes to the refunding of money. Great experience! It’s close to multiple stores and restaurants along with the Zion National Park itself. They also have a Pioneer restaurant which offers a discount for those who stay at the lodge as well. Highly recommend this place!

Great value for the location and amenities! They must have remodeled because I was expecting a very outdated room based on old reviews. We arrived late, but they made arrangements so we could still get into the room and check in the next morning. The location is great, and it includes a microwave and fridge. 1 star off for the bathroom tile and tub that had done wear, but it was still fine overall. Staff was kind. I don’t recommend their restaurant when pizza and noodle is so close. Don’t let the name throw you off, food is good. Wifi worked fine, but if it doesn’t try the other open wifi. They had a few. Parking was easy.

I found an amazing deal about a month before Thanksgiving and booked it on a whim. What an awesome location. The room was clean and comfortable and there was parking right outside the room. We booked it mainly because they accepted pets and we brought our puggle with us. My only complaint is that the walls are pretty thin. We unfortunately had a room right by the stairwell and a large family was staying on the second floor. Their children were running up and down the stairs at all hours between 10PM and 8AM. Needless to say, it was frustrating. Other than that, no complaints.

Ordered the reuben, same price as the ½ lb hamburger. Must be a shortage of corned beef because I got the thinnest reuben I’ve ever eaten — 3 thin slices, maybe 1⁄8 lb of beef. I showed the waitress and she said«that’s how it comes». Well that sucks!

It is very close to Zion and my room has a fridge and microwave. It’s clean, quiet and comfortable. Springdale had a lot to offer with great restaurants and shops. The towels are plush and my room has been recently remodeled. I’d stay here again. I’m paying $ 345 for two nights in a king bed room in August 2015 via Expedia and booked two days ago. Free wifi that works.

I arrived at about 12PM and asked if I could check in, but the front desk girl told me it was way too early. I just thought it wouldn’t hurt to try. They have a cozy lobby with a clean restroom that we were able to use before heading into Zion National Park. Later that evening when I returned around 7:30PM to check in, I was told that they had overbooked. They relocated me across the street to Zion Park Motel, already checked me in, and had my key ready for me. I was confused, but as long as what I needed was provided, it was fine with me. The room I got at the motel had 2 beds as I requested, and it also had a microwave and fridge as there would have been at Pioneer Lodge. I appreciate that they made things easier for me by checking me in and having the key ready, but I don’t like that this could have been a sneaky tactic that they often use — to overbook and relocate people by partnering up with other locations because it makes them more $. I’ll never know.

First, it is great where the hotel is located. Beautiful mountains all around; it is breath taking. The lodge is cute and inside the room also pretty cute as well. Now it comes to the issue… just our luck that we get to stay in a room that is next to a birthday celebration room with a FULL family. Omg, they keep talking and being very loud in front of our door and window. I simply don’t understand that. Why can’t people ever be more considerate to others? I do not want to sound racist, be I can’t stop to think that is a cultural thing that they simply don’t care even they most likely the ones who own the hotel. But do you want people to return or do you ever think about bad reviews? Not sure I would suggest that to anyone for their stay in the future… that’s the catch I guess that is cheap for a night!

Simple little place with just the right things you need. Rooms feel cozy with that cabin feel, which is definitely a plus. If you come here in the winter time, cross your fingers that you get a room with the heater console because apparently, not all rooms are installed with a functioning air control unit. Overall, decent experience without any hassle. There is Wi-Fi but it definitely is slow and choppy at times. Also, if you are a light sleeper who needs the room to be pitch black, bring some eye covers/masks because that air unit shines a pretty bright blue light throughout the night.

Decent lodge for our trip to Zion and Bryce. They will accommodate your party for late arrivals, just call them ahead of time and they’ll let you know their protocol for this. Our room came with a mini fridge and a microwave, but the microwave wasn’t there when we arrived. Called reception and they had it replaced that same day. Wi-Fi here is terrible. Very slow most times(usually during peak hours) if it even works at all. Parking is difficult and there wasn’t a parking spot for our car when we got there. We had to park on the street or elsewhere. TVs are not HD, and the one in our room was from the 80s with its big back. Our friends’ room next door was flat screen, but not HD.

3.5 stars. Very cute place to stay at. It feels as cabin inside with all the wooden wall and furniture. Clean places. It has a little kitchen table with coffee machine and a sink in the room we stayed. Staff are nice and you can buy souvenir at their lobby. It has a café at lobby too. We were there after 6pm and before 7am, it wasn’t open when we were there. It’s very close to the entrance to Zion. Only thing I really complain about is their wifi. It sucks a little and for the peak hour at night, you simply can’t do anything. As a person who needs internet a lot, this definitely refrains me from staying there again.
