La Quinta Inn & Suites at Zion Park/Springdale

One of the nicer and newer La Quinta hotels we’ve stayed at! It’s a very short distance from Zion like most of the hotels in the area. Our room was quiet, clean and peaceful after traveling and hikes. We stayed here because they’re dog friendly and have free breakfast. I wasn’t overly impressed with their free breakfast because I’ve had better at other La Quinta hotels but… it was free, it’s winter and there weren’t many of us staying at the hotel. Hence, the 4 stars. They did offer sausage gravy, biscuits, waffles, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, fruits, yogurt, muffins, breads, juice and coffee. They had a nice outdoor pool for the summer months. I’d stay again if we’re ever back visiting Zion.

We stayed here for two nights during the winter season. Overall we had a wonderful and pleasant stay.
Location: Located in Springdale off the main street just seconds away from the entrance into Zion National Park. Parking was ample. Our rooms were easy to reach. The front of our room along the walkway had a bench where we can watch the sunrise over the mountains which we thought was pretty cool.
Room: Clean and did not have an odor. All the amenities were present and plentiful (towels, shower gels/​soaps). The TV was nice and big and the refrigerator worked fine. The coffee maker had the generic filter pouched (one 100% Arabica and one decaf pouch). Coffee cups were corrugated which was appreciated to prevent burning your hands from hot coffee (our previous hotel provided only plain paper cups). Beds were nice and of medium firmness. Not too firm not too soft. There was a closet room which had ample space. When we were sleeping, we heard a very faint buzzing sound that came and went. The first night, we thought it was our friend’s loud snoring in the next room since the pattern of the buzzing sound representing normal respiratory pattern. But it turned out not to be his snoring because we heard the noise on the following night and he didn’t stay the following night.
Lobby: Lobby was staffed ²⁴⁄₇ and the staff was very nice and friendly. My friend and I went to the gym late in the night and chatted a little bit with the front desk guy. He was super friendly and offered us some oat meal cookies from the front desk (they were delicious). The lobby has a much better coffee than the rooms. They provided coffee from the pump as well as a wonderful assortment of teas. There was also a microwave in the lobby in case you wanted to heat anything up.
Gym: I am a gym rat and any gym that has free weights has my high praises. This gym did not disappointment. They had free weights up to 50 pounds and a multipurpose cords machine. There was also a treadmill, bicycle chair, and elliptical. Gym was spacious. There was a large TV in the corner, towels, and water station. You can adjust the temperature of the room to your comfort. Laundry room was next to the gym, we only peeked inside and didn’t use it but it looked clean.
Breakfast: Delicious. They don’t check for keycard or your room number when we stayed. The staff was very attentive and always made sure the food was well stocked. Our first morning the juice machine (orange and apple) was out of order and they were able to fix it by the next day. There was boiled eggs, although it would have been nice to have scrambled. They had biscuits and gravy but no country fried steak. They had an awesome waffle machine with strawberries and chocolate as toppings. They also had cereal, yogurt, fruits, English muffins, muffins and oatmeal. Seating was ample. No problems with the food.
Overall we were very happy with our stay and would definitely stay here again!

Clean, attractive rooms. Friendly attentive staff. Good free breakfast (although the coffee is pretty terrible if you are used to Starbucks like me…). Very close to Zion NP and nearby shops/​restaurants. Decent room prices. I visit Zion NP about every 1.5 years and this is where I always stay.

The la Quinta at Springdale Utah charge 300 $ a night after tax. Yet, when I asked for three soaps (we are three grown ups), the front desk guy wanted to know why. He gave the soaps but not before telling me clearly that this was odd. Translation: we are stealing soaps.
That’s after we spent 300 $ a night!
So what we have here are «soap nazis».
Obviously la Quinta is doing us all a favor by admitting us into the hotel. What a sense of entitlement!
Thanks for letting us into the exclusive club of la Quinta. The exclusive clubs that the 1 percent visit have nothing on you.

Great location. Free Breakfast was delicious, egg And cheese sandwich. Also had donuts, cereal, fruit, oatmeal, toast. Wifi is amazing here. Room was clean with giant closet. There was this weird humming noise in our room, it might have been the wind?

We stayed here for 2 nights for our recent Zion visit. I’ve always liked the La Quinta hotels and this one didn’t disappoint. The rooms have a fridge and microwave. Beds were very comfy and the AC unit was awesome. It was pretty hot for our October visit.
They had breakfast included which had a great variety from hard boiled eggs, toast, yogurt, juice, fruit, waffles, biscuits and gravy. The coffee wasn’t great but I’m kinda a coffee snob ;)
Location is awesome. Close to Zion and tons of eateries you can walk to. (I recommend Meme’s! Excellent food). My husband really enjoyed the hotel as well.

VERY impressive hotel! It’s clean, quiet, new-​ish, and has every amenity I need after a day at Zion. The staff was friendly, the breakfast was good, the hot tub was incredible after a long day of hiking, the pool was big and clean, the room, beds, and bathroom were spacious and clean. Our room even had a walk-​in closet!
I will absolutely stay here again when I return to Springdale.

Apparently this place is relatively new and I like it. It’s clean. It’s quiet. It has great views of the canyon. The staff have been friendly and we have not been bothered about anything. The continental breakfast is better than most I’ve had. They have fresh waffles and a different morning special everyday.
My only complaint would probably be that the wifi does not really reach the rooms efficiently. If I step out on my porch then I have pretty good access but just 20 feet back into my room it sucks. Other than that, I have had a great time here.

Loved this hotel. Fam and I stayed for two nights. In between two shuttle stops, free breakfast, pool with toddler area, and grassy area to hang out… this place was perfect.
Hotel rooms looked new, very spacious and clean. Mini fridge, microwave, cable TV — what more can you ask for when traveling with a toddler.

Great location and great facility. Right in the heart of Springdale with an easy walk to all the shops resturants and the Springdale shuttle which takes you (free) to zion’s entrance. The rooms are clean, spacious and cozy. The service is excellent. Breakfast was ok, typical continental breakfast but still good. Views from the room were spectacular. Prices seemed reasonable. Overall a great place to stay when visiting Zion National Park.

Just stayed here for 3 nights. I really liked this place. It was very close to Zion and walking distance from other local businesses. The free shuttle service to the park was down the street so it was very convenient.
There is a nice complementary breakfast in the morning with a variety of food. It also has a nice gym and laundry facility.
I would stay here again. The staff are friendly and service was good.

It’s OK for what it is. There aren’t many options to stay right outside of the park. It’s a tourist area so expect to pay more than what you would normally want to pay for an Inn.
The hotel is clean, has free breakfast, lots of parking, a Zion shuttle stop right across the street and strong AC and fridge in the room. That’s pretty much all I need for a trip like this.

My girlfriend (and 2 friends) and I booked La Quinta over the 2015 Memorial Day weekend. We were lucky to reserve early because all the hotels nearby filled up quickly. The room was very clean and had all the things we needed. It was also cleaned nicely every day when we were out at Zion National Park.
The location if the hotel is optimal if you plan to visit Zion. It is across the street from the free shuttle, which brings you to the visitor’s center. It is also right next to the main area where all the shops and restaurants are.
The free breakfast was definitely a plus, although it did lack substance food such as meat and eggs. Instead it had waffles, some pastries, toast, cereal, coffee, orange/​apple juice, and some fruit.

It was so bad I had to give my 1^st negative Unilocal review!
It looks like a decent place to stay, but the management/​customer service was a complete nightmare. They were so busy rambling off hotel rules and additional charges, they completely forgot that customers keep them in business.
The manager was rude and irrational and has serious issues.

Great location and you get stunning views on both sides of the hotel. I loved that their property had quite a few benches throughout to be able to sit and enjoy the view. It’s less than a mile away from Zion’s park entrance. We stayed here for the Zion half marathon and walked the 0.7 miles to the finish line to catch the shuttle to the start. The rooms were clean, spacious, and great for a group.
They also have a complimentary breakfast. Some breakfast items included oatmeal, cereal/​milk, muffins, hard boiled eggs, waffles cooked to order, fruit, coffee and juice.
Only downside to our visit was that the walls are pretty thin and we were on the lower level so we could hear our neighbors walking around above us.

Gorgeous views from our hotel room. Absolutely stunning!! The check in process was easy and the clerk was friendly. Our room was spotless and looked brand new. The bed was great and the room had a fridge and microwave. The best was nice and consisted of fruits, heart-​shaped waffles, breakfast sandwiches, etc. We could not use the pool since we stayed during Spring Break. It right on the strip of hotels and restaurants in Springdale, all within a 5 minute walk. We will certainly stay again!!!

I agree with Dan B. This is probably the nicest La Quinta out there.
— Location: Super convenient to the park entrance, we parked at the hotel and used the Zion free shuttles for 3 full days. The shuttle stop is a short 3 min walk away.
— Room quality: Very surprised by the size and cleanliness of our room. The bed is very comfortable which is important after hiking Angel’s Landing and The Narrows.
— Customer service: Top notch. The front desk is very friendly and offered good tips for hiking in the park. There’s also a cook at breakfast who is the sweetest. He’s super into his waffles and we called him the waffle man.
— Nearby neighborhood: 2 good restaurants nearby that I would recommend, Oscar’s Café and The Spotted Dog Café. There are also 2 yummy ice cream places right across the street. Moose tracks.yuuuumm.
If you are planning to visit Zion in the near future, I highly recommend staying at La Quinta! Book early!

We were very excited to know La Quinta has a location in springdale, UT. Very close to the entrance of the zion national park.
So since I’m a gold member of the la Quinta returns. I recommend to stay at this place. I’ve always like la Quinta and the fact that they accept pets without extra fees.
This time my visit and check in experience is a whole different story.
The boyfriend check in and I was outside letting snoopy my miniature dachshund get acquainted. And I decided to follow later into the lobby. As soon as I walked into the lobby. The girl yelled and said :” we don’t allow dogs in the office area cause we have foods. «so she kept staring until I exit.
First of all I’ve been to Lq before. And it’s not breakfast hours, it’s 2:06 pm no food is served. So why the bitch attitude?
And I can understand food service sanitary issue but you are the first one that tells me that over 100 LQ locations that I’ve stayed at.
OK let’s say you’re right. Then put a sticker that says that on your door. No dogs allowed!
And the bf came out and says oh they said you can’t leave the dogs for more than 2 hours in the room. WTF??? I pay for the room… your website doesn’t say all these restrictions when the reservations are made.
So??? What?? You’re going to put a timer on the door or room???
I’m pissed now that I feel unwelcome and lack of customer service definitely embarrassed me cause I recommended this place.
Sooooooo disappointed.

If it hadn’t been for this type of stupid rules, I would have given your place a 5 star rating.

Easily the nicest La Quinta I’ve ever stayed at. Ninety percent of the reason was location, location, location:
– Just a mile or so from the entrance to Zion Nat’ Park
– Easy access to the town shuttle, taking you to the park (or anywhere in town)
– Short walk to many of the restaurants and shops in Springdale
And you couldn’t beat the great views from the motel itself. (

Also, this La Quinta was only about a year old, so everything still felt brand new. (Not to mention that a year is just enough time to get most of the kinks worked out.)
Did I mention the pool? After an all-​day hike on a hot day, there’s nothing quite like taking a cool dip. And when you can bring a plastic cup traveler of your favorite beverage, all the better. Our small group made a beeline here in the early evenings during our short stay.
Other pluses:
— Staff was super friendly
— Mini fridges in the rooms for those extra snacks and beverages
— GREAT breakfast included; with lots of choices, including breakfast sandwiches, fruits, yogurt, oatmeal, cereals, and a variety of juices. (Hint: many items are good for saving in the pack for a trailside snack or lunch)
OK, so at $ 200/​night it’s also the most expensive La Quintas I’ve been to. But based on the bang-​for-​buck, I’d stay here again in a heart beat.
