Muleshoe Bend Recreation Area’s 10.5-mile mountain bike trails is just one of its recreational opportunities. Riders of all experience levels can enjoy the trail. Those who don’t want to go the distance can cut their rides short at several points.

Horseback riding is permitted in other areas of the park.

Muleshoe also has plenty of sites for tent camping, picnic tables with views of the lake and a gentle shoreline.

Make reservations online at www​.lcra​.org/​r​e​serve for a $ 6 transaction fee per site, or call toll-​free 855−392−7638 for a $ 7.50 transaction fee per site. Reservations must be made more than 48 hours in advance of arrival. To check availability within 48 hours of your arrival, call the park directly.

Prior written permission shall be obtained from LCRA for any organized group activity on LCRA land involving 20 or more individuals.

Established in 1942.

Muleshoe Bend was acquired by Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) as six separate tracts for the creation of Lake Travis. in the nineties Muleshoe Bend Recreation Area underwent a series of improvements to help ensure resource protection, site security and public enjoyment.
