Grelle Recreation Area wraps around an isolated cove on the south shore of Lake Travis. The cove’s grassy beach is a good swimming spot when the lake is full. A two-​mile hiking trail winds through the area’s hills to a plateau with a spectacular view of Lake Travis. Horse back riders can bring their horses for a fee.

Overnight camping is allowed at the 400-​acre area, but no facilities are provided. It has one outdoor toilet and no drinking water. Overnight camping is available on a first-​come, first-​served basis. No reservations are required. Please use the self-​pay box to deposit your visitor and camping fees per day.

Prior written permission shall be obtained from LCRA for any organized group activity on LCRA land involving 20 or more individuals. All groups require a Land Use Permit.
