Tahoe Beach & Ski Club

I booked a room in December for Memorial Day weekend. My inlaws decided to join us so I booked them an available townhouse at the resort on April 20. The night before we left for our trip I got a phonecall from the hotel desk manager saying «They were doing renovations and they didn’t complete in time so our room was not available.» I clarified with manager I had booked 2 rooms/​2 reservations — a room and a townhouse so as long as one was available we could pile all into one. He said both were unavailable. (I’m pretty sure this can be interpreted as we overbooked for the weekend and someone else got priority over me) He offered to move us to a ‘more expensive resort’ without charging us or could refund us. I asked if it was on the lake and he said no. This was my 80+ yo inlaws request to see Lake Tahoe before they die and was the only reason they chose to come on this west coast trip with us — to see Lake Tahoe. They aren’t able to get out and about easily so we wanted something ON the lake. I frantically called around knowing most lakefront properties were already booked for holiday weekend but was able to find 2 rooms for us, my inlaws, and my 2 kids, at a competing resort on the lake. I called back and told manager to process refund on both rooms and he said he would. The following week I noticed refund on my online credit card account for only ONE room (the less expensive one). I called and was reassured that the other room was processed. The following week I called and was told he apologized but had sent an email and it would be processed that week. I called again and have 3 voicemails from manager telling me the refund was processed on the second room. Three weeks later I called parent company (Resorttime) who informs me the room was never cancelled and still shows as pending. My frustration was relayed to supervisor who said they would process refund today and receive in 3 – 5 business days. I’ve been told that for 3 weeks now but hopefully I at least get my money back but I definitely won’t be staying at Tahoe Beach and Ski Club or a Resortime property after this hassle.

The accommodations and amenities surpassed our expectations tremendously. We fell in love as soon as we walked into our 1 bedroom suite. The room was clean. There’s a pullout sofa with all the linens. 2 bathrooms and mini kitchen that met all of our needs. The private beach is gorgeous. Love it love it love it. We will definitely be back.
Cons: no AC which would be nice during the daylight hours and the wifi is really slow.

I thought this hotel was great. It has a great location within walking distance to the marina, shops, restaurants, and the beach. The room had a half kitchen with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, George foreman grille, blender, things like that, along with plates and silverware and glassware, etc. it had a balcony and the bed was comfy. The grounds were kept clean and the staff was very friendly and made our experience a breeze. The price was so fair for a holiday weekend as well! Can’t wait to go back.

Stayed here with a friend for a girls weekend! Not to shabby! Free WiFi! Great beach! We had a partial kitchen with coffee pot, toaster oven, microwave, refrigerator, silverware, plates, cups, and blender. The room had 2 full bathrooms and a pullout sofa bed. The only downfall on the room is that you can hear every step/​voices from the surrounding rooms. The beach access is fab! I think I will be back.

This is our favorite place to stay at in Tahoe. It’s conveniently placed on the beach and very reasonable with their pricing. Their staff is great, they are very attentive and make you feel like coming back again. The rooms are clean and have convenient utensils and extra bedding, which is awesome! We stayed in the townhouse this time and the jetted tub was so great to use! I always recommend this place to my family and friends, they really go out of their way to make the experience worth while.

We stayed here for a long weekend this winter. Great experience, walking distance to restaurants. Plenty of room for a family of four. We may come back to experience the beach in the summer. We missed the details of the «partial kitchen» (no stove) and were planning to cook dinner in our suite. But we adjusted and went out instead.

Stayed here with our family in the townhouse — very roomy and fun for the kids with the spiral staircase. Great pool and hot tub, a playground, and amazing beach access. They also have activities for kids and an activity room — pretty family oriented! Would definitely stay here again — would love to find a groupon so we could stay longer next time!

The phrase applies to this place 100% if you stay on the ground floor of a two story building or the first two floors of a three story building. The ceiling and doors to the hallway are extremely thin. You hear everything. Every step, every muffle conversation, every chair being move, every vacuuming cleaning swipe, every movement from above and outside can be heard in the room. It’s horrible for family with napping kids (like our kids), or for those who are light sleepers. Plus, since this is a time share place, most of the optimal rooms are reserved by the owners.
This place would have gotten a worst review if the service, location, and various activities were not available. The staff was actually top notch, friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to help. The place is located only 3 – 4 lights from the Heavenly /​Casino area, Safeway and a CVS. Which for a family is actually a big plus. In addition, the club has its own private beach. Lastly, the daily activities that are held in the Tahoe Room is a big hit with the kids. They can paint various crafts, and do activities meant for the whole family.
Overall this place is a great for families with teenagers, but really bad for children.

Terrible customer service. left and went down the street before even checking in. Had a reservation showed up and based off the person at the front desk we left! Horrible expirence. went down the street and had a much better room for cheaper.(Park Inn Tahoe)

Great location on Lake Tahoe Bl. close to shops and restaurants/​bars. New, spacious and upgraded rooms, well insulated in the winter (we did not have to turn the heater on once). Good location right on the beach for summer stays. We got by without a stove/​oven in our kitchen since they provided a crock pot, portable stove, pots & pans upon request. We would definitely stay there again.

Terrific place to stay in Lake Tahoe as it is right on the water and has its own private beach. Next door has all of the summer water activities for rent. Close to ski resorts, too. Great restaurants are all within close walking distance. You can catch some incredible sunset and sunrises on the beach since it is so close to the water.

Cute condos but they lack full kitchens. Pretty comfy floor plans we rented a 2 bedroom which had three bathrooms, a patio deck that extends across the back of the unit with access from the bedrooms and living room. The property has a tennis court, gym and pool. Awesome location to the Lake and really close to skiing and Heavenly Village. I would stay again.

I have nothing bad to say about this place. From the moment walking in to leaving. After reading reviews my girlfriend and I decided it’s worth to get the 1 bedroom instead of studio and I have no complaints with this 1 bedroom. Has a living room and a bedroom with 2 bathrooms equipped with showers. The one in he bedroom has a tub equipped with jets for a nice I’m room jacuzzi. Has a kitchen with a microwave and a small oven. And a full on refrigerator as well as 2 tvs with DVD players. Literally right off the lake with a private beach. It snowed while we were up here and the views are majestic beautiful views from every angle. Real wonderful place to spend a vacation, I’ll definitely be coming back here again.

We are owners at the Tahoe Beach & Ski Club. We absolutely love it! We stayed in the Baldwin building this year and had a lake view. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. I do not understand how other reviewers can complain about the rooms or the staff. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful, from the housekeeping staff, maintenance staff and reception staff. We enjoyed movie night and the Jazz concert. Can’t wait to visit next year!

Horriable customer service. Will never come here again pay top $$$$$ to stay in a nice place. But the Front Desk and Customer service Sucks they just dont care.

The Tahoe Beach and Ski Club is near the edge of South Lake Tahoe and not too far from the downtown or casino area. They have several buildings spread out with lots of room options from studios, 1 bedrooms and 2 bedrooms. The rooms have kitchens or partial kitchens with at least a refrigerator, microwave, and stove top. The rooms are clean and somewhat updated. Their exercise room is pretty basic but has enough and probably there won’t be many people in there to begin with. They also have a pool table and foosball table and pools, hot tubs, and sauna.

I just love this place. Homey, friendly, clean and on the beach.

The one bedroom was spacious enough for our group especially with 2 full bathrooms and a kitchenette. Loved the jacuzzi tub in the master bath. The whole room looked recently renovated. The queen bed was very comfy.
I’m sad I didn’t get to check out the rec room and sauna but I heard they were nice. Loved how close this place was relative to Heavenly and the other casino/​hotels.
I would want to stay here again!

This was my first time staying here and I have to say I am very pleased with the rooms. I heard they have been remodeled and they did a decent job. I remodel a lot of my rental apartment units so this was pretty decent on the mid to upper middle range. No stoves which is a bummer, but I guess they don’t want anyone to burn down the building. We stayed in a 1 bdr suite, which consists of a living area with dining set jammed against a wall and a small kitchen. This room also has a full bath with shower and a patio door leading out to a patio and the parking lot. The bedroom has a full bath with a Jacuzzi tub which was a bonus for soaking after a day of skiing. Each room has it’s own flat screen tv and dvd player which is nice.
We were in building 3 which I believe is the Chapparel building and it was cool that it was near the parking lot so that you could pull your car right up to your patio, if your on the first floor like us and unload your stuff into your room. We were in 3104 actually. The down side is that it’s close to cars which means noise in the morning and basically no view of anything interesting. The front desk staff was nice enough also. There weren’t any type of restaurant or bar on site, not even an exercise room. The Jacuzzis were a short distance from the room, but not very appealing nor was the pool. It’s close to the beach which I imagine is good in Summer but useless in January. Overall I would stay here again if my other favored accomodations are too pricey or not available. 3 ½ stars overall

What a nice facility. The staff is very passionate about the location and the parking. We stayed in units that were remodeled and they were very nice. I love the shallow beach and swimming pool. My family really enjoyed our stay and we re-​booked for next year.
It is awesome having a full bar and pizza joint on property as well…
