Established in 2006.

In 2006, a small group of dedicated, experienced, top-​performing producers in the local real estate market broke from the tradition of the large scale, corporate and often impersonal Real Estate megacompanies to form an upscale, boutique agency with an unprecedented knowledge of the local market and community and the pledge to be the single positive difference in each client’s experience. Sereno Group has strategically carved its position as one of the top four most productive (in terms of overall annual sales volume) residential real estate sales firms based in San Mateo, Santa Clara, and Santa Cruz Counties. Sereno Group operates out of 6 offices located in Palo Alto, Los Altos, Saratoga, Los Gatos, Willow Glen, and Santa Cruz, California.

Sereno Group Santa Cruz opened in January 2010.

Meet the Business Owner

Chris T.

Business Owner

Chris Trapani is Founder & CEO of Sereno Group. He co-​founded Sereno Group with his lifetime best friend, Ryan Iwanaga. Prior to launching Sereno Group, Chris was the President & COO of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Silicon Valley overseeing 17 offices and more than 1400 Realtors. In addition to overseeing the day to day brokerage operation, Chris was responsible for growth in the area including recruiting and acquisition.

Chris grew up in Saratoga, graduating from Saratoga High School in 1985 and Cal Poly SLO in 1990. He also attended the Wharton School of Business’ CEO Leadership course in 2004. He began his real estate sales career in 1990 at the age of 24. By 2004 at the age of 37, Chris became Coldwell Banker/NRT’s youngest President in the nation. He resigned from his position at Coldwell Banker in 2006 to fulfill his dream and vision to create Sereno Group.

Chris resides in Monte Sereno with his wife Kirsten and their 3 children.
