Fast and easy. Great service and no pressure on the upsells. I love that you can stay in your car. With a baby in tow, it makes the process so much easier.

Had two oil changes here. first one — stole valve stems covers. Second one — stole skid plate bolts. don’t go here unless you don’t care.

Super quick service. Pleasant staff who informs you of all of their recommendations but is not pushy at all. They always have Unilocal coupons too.

I am not a car guy, and this was my first oil change experience. These guys were professional, prompt, and advised me on other parts of my car that could use replacement such as the air filter. I recommend them to anyone in need of oil, or other services that they provide.

I really love the entire concept of Valvoline. You really can’t get any more convenient than drive-​in service with no appointments, rarely any waits, and the ability to sit right in the car while it’s being done!
I go to this location and am always happy with my service. Not only is the service always spot on, but the customer service is top notch. The staff is always very friendly, totally informative if you ask them questions about your car and auto service in general, and they’re never pushy in trying to up-​sell you (though they do make every reasonable effort).
Prices are also great, esp. since you can always bring a coupon (I never go without! They always print out on the back of supermarket receipts).

I’ve been going to Valvoline for about 10 years now and I just recently moved my job to the Somerville area and found this location. There was no wait, the staff was super friendly and the gentleman Tito who did all of the upper deck work was amazing. He educated me on things not one person in 10 years of going to Valvoline had ever told me before. He didn’t try to up sell anything that wasn’t needed and that seems to happen at other locations that I have been to in the past. Since I know little to nothing about cars, it was nice to know that he could take the time out of his day to actually explain the reason for everything he suggested. He was upfront and honest and priced everything for me prior to my decision on the services. I now know that this is definitely my new spot for oil changes and other maintenance!

Needed a quick oil change. Went on a Friday morning and had no wait. Was different experience being in the car for the whole thing. Requested change in air filter to which I always so no merely on reflex. No foreceful sell though. It was dirty as my mechanic later agreed. Oh well! Oil change Prices start at 39.99. Overall good quick experience.

I had an absolutely fantastic first experience at this oil shop.
John serviced my car. When I asked about the more expensive synthetic oils, he told me that my make and model would be just fine with the least expensive oil per my manufacturer. I was blown away that he didn’t try to upsell me to something I didn’t need.
His Assistant Manager Tyrone walked me through my car’s suggested maintenance record. There was a long list of suggested things given my car’s mileage, and when I asked Tyrone which of them was the most pressing given the coming winter, he recommended I service my radiator and explained why it would help me get through the winter worry-​free. I happily added this to my bill. He introduced me to his manager Brian.
They explained everything they were doing, in realtime. They answered all my questions like knowledgable professionals that wanted my trust as much as I wanted theirs. They showed me my oil level, gave me tips and pointers, and summarized the services performed. All while I sat in my car. I was out of there in 15 minutes flat. All three of them wished me a happy holidays as I drove off.
Oh, and Tyrone saved me 15% on my bill, which was more than the discount I was going to receive with the $ 10 service add-​on discount and $ 5 Unilocal check-​in discount combined.
Amazing.
I never fill out those customer care surveys, but I had such a great experience that I’m calling up Valvoline to let them know.

Super fast, professional, and friendly. They answered the phone politely and told me that there was no wait. When I came, it took exactly 10 minutes to get my oil changed.

Very nice people, really quick service! BUT I just paid $ 85 for a synthetic oil change for my Audi?! I was cramped for time so I let them do it but that just seems entirely too much $$$, and that was with applying a $ 10 coupon! Maybe should have done some more research…

Fast service! I love that I don’t have to get out of my car! They’ll try and hassle you to buy their air filters which I know they’re forced to do, but I think they’re used to hearing «no.» You can almost always get a $ 10 off coupon, so look for that before you come, otherwise it’s way too expensive for an oil change.

Very fast and friendly. Not cheap, but not more expensive than a Mobil 1 express I’ve been to either. Faster than the Mobil 1 though. I definitely would come back.

Came in today and had a great experience! Staff was friendly, helpful, and courteous. I was in and out in 15 minutes. No up selling to buy more.

Went in today with the check engine light on and the guys were really nice. They checked my on board computer and suggested I keep an eye on my tiny, non-​engine related issue.
Spent 10 mins there and didn’t charge me for their assistance. I’m definitely coming back to this place when my oil change is due later this month!

Going with five stars. I went back yesterday and experienced the same ridiculously friendly service with no upsell. I have always been afraid of getting my oil changed (because of previous upselling experiences at instant places and my car cluelessness) and these guys make it easy and relatively pleasant.
Because of this place, I was only 150 miles over the «limit» on my oil change sticker. If you knew me, you’d be impressed. And you’d petition Unilocal to add a sixth star option.

For the speed and convenience and general competence, I like this place. I took my girlfriend’s car in a few months ago and they were very helpful even though the oil hadn’t been changed in far too long. They offered too many extras of course ($ 40 for a rear wiper blade? I don’t think so… went across the street to AutoZone and got one for $ 9 that popped right on), but they weren’t too pushy.
I took my car there today, and I have to say, I am impressed with their efficiency and attention to detail. They showed me my air filter was super clean, and double checked everything with me. They again asked about the wiper blades but did not push to up-​sell anything. In and out in 10 minutes.
Don’t go without a coupon – Checking in on Unilocal gets you $ 10 off and brings the price in-​line with somewhere close to «reasonable.»
So, not bad. You have to be careful to know your stuff before you drive in, they will probably try to take advantage of you and up-​sell some items. But if you know what you’re doing then they do a good job.

Great place for an oil change! The staff seem genuinely happy to help, and the entire process (from pull-​in to pull-​out) took under 15 minutes.
I have a company car, and Valvoline did a great job taking care of the paperwork.
