History

Established in 1981.

Joseph Marfione was the founder of «The Camera Club» at Somerville High School which began his career in modern photography. Joseph Marfione graduated from New England School of Photography in1974 and from the New England Institute of Professional Photography in1999. Marfione Studio was founded in 1975 at 200 Highland Avenue in Somerville Massachusetts and in 1981 he expanded and relocated at 171 Washington Street, Somerville. In 1981, he further expanded with the creation of specialty videos and introduced videos into his wedding photography packages. As Marfione Studio continued to grow, Joe expanded to his now location at 179 Washington Street to meet his ever-​growing need for space and modern equipment, studio portraits, wedding photography and his high-​tech, full-​size photo and digital lab. Joe expanded his video production to his Revere location.
