Our inspections for Bed Bugs, Rodents, Gophers and Termites (non escrow) are always provided at no charge We provide our services to homes, apartments, business’, schools, restaurants, hospitals, nursing homes and all other type facilities. Other services include Ants, Cockroaches, Black Widows, Spiders, Crickets, Silverfish, Earwigs & most crawling pests. Fumigation, Tenting, conventional spot and local treatments. We employ full time carpenters to repair/​replace your Termite and Fungus/​Dryrot damaged wood. We can remove Rat and Mice contaminated attic insulation and install new T.A.P. Pest Control insulation or just add extra insulation to your attic to control those heating & air conditioning bills. History

Established in 1977.

The Sentry Termite & Pest Control team’s roots can be found as far back as the 1940s with my Grandfather, Lester Lewis, gaining knowledge and experience working for a large California exterminating company. In 1950, Lester created Lewis Extermination Company and successfully treated pests in the Los Angeles area.

My Dad, Dave Lewis, spent all of his life around the pest control business. He continued to work for his dad until 1973 when the company was acquired by John Edwards Pest Control Company.

A man determined to keep the business in the family, my Dad resigned from John Edwards Pest Control Company in 1977 to create Sentry Pest Control.

I joined Sentry Pest Control in 1991. In 2000, Dad knew I was ready to run the business, so Dad is now enjoying his retirement while our team continues to effectively and safely treat pests, provide exemplary customer service, and simply love the pest control business.

My Fiancé has been getting bit a lot lately. We called Sentry out to our home. They did a through investigation & found that there were no insects/​bugs in our home or our backyard that could be causing the bites. There was no charge & they did not push any type of unneeded service on us.

We recently got serviced from Sentry for the first time and I couldn’t be happier! I felt like the last company we used to use would nickel & dime us every chance they got, however, with Sentry I didn’t feel that way at all! Chris came to service us and he throughly explained everything to me and made me feel like I definitely made the right decision to try a new pest control company.
Not only was their technician great their office staff was too! I had to reschedule and they were more then willing to assist me without any issues.

Rick Urquidi did the termite inspection for me today and unfortunately, he found termites and my house needs to be tented. I already have a contractor to fix my roof and Rick specifically told me which damaged wood needs to be replaced. Now talking about customer service — this guy is superb! He is honest and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend him and his number is 805– 624‑0868.

Fantastic! Bill with Sentry is fantastic! Caught 4 gophers with the first set of traps. And it’s easy to call when I have more issues with gophers. I really wish my neighbors would be using Sentry to take care of the rest of the gophers in the area.

Had trouble with bedbugs. Sentry came out to our home a few times in October, 2015 to spray with special chemicals. This method worked. The cost was reasonable and much cheaper than other quotes I received for killing the bedbugs with the alternate method of heat treatment. The service representative, Bill, who came out each time to spray, was very courteous, helpful, and answered my questions about the bedbug problem. The bedbugs are completely gone.

I had ants in my kitchen. I called them and several other exterminators. Sentry was the only company that offered to come out the same day. A few hours after I called, the guy showed up and sprayed around my house. He told me that it was not necessary to spray inside which would have been an additional fee. Although he said he would if I desired to have it done. No ants since they were here! I’ll definitely use them again.

Thought I had bed bugs but Ruben came out and thoroughly inspected and told me the little bugs I was seeing were carpet beetles which did not require treatment. I really appreciate his free inspection and his honesty. If I ever have a pest problem, I will be sure to call Sentry again. Thanks Ruben!,

We have been working with Sentry Pest Control for about the last 4 – 5 months. We decided to call them to address some insect problems we were having in our yard. They immediately sent someone out who sprayed the area (not dangerous to the dog other than while spraying) and we haven’t seen a bug since then. We opted to have them spray quarterly as we live in the hills and are prone to having many insects. In working with them, we thought we would ask about «gopher control» as we’ve had a problem with gophers for the past 2 years and have tried everything and many companies –to no avail. They sent Ruben out to our house and his method of trapping the gophers has been the only thing that’s worked. It took a little while but we are gopher free for the first time in years. He is great to work with and has been there when we needed him. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing any type of pest control. They are efficient, get back to you and get the job done.

I usually am too lazy to write reviews, however, this is one company that impressed me so much that I feel obligation to spread a word on their awesome service. We recently closed on a home and were not very confident on the Termite report provided by the Sellers. As we were calling up other termite companies in the area for re-​inspection, almost all of them quoted a price of $ 200 and upwards — even those who advertise inspection as free. When I called up Sentry, not only did they promised free inspection, Rick, the inspector, arrived on time and conducted a through investigation. Sure enough he found few things «missed» by the Sellers Termite Inspection company ! I am super impressed by this company and highly recommend them — 5 stars !!

We had Rick come out to inspect the house. This is by far the best and most honest company we have ever dealt with. Rick is very honest and very knowledgeable. We are very impressed about what he said and actually he was a second opinion where the first one said that we did have termites but Rick confirmed it was not termites. Update: Like I said I would, I am upping this to a 5 star review. Sentry is a great group of people. Very knowledgable when discussing things over the phone and in person. I had a spider issue and, as part of my subscription service, they came and took care of it without any additional payment. Chris has made all the visits so far and he has been nothing but courteous and helpful. As a bonus, we are a no shoes in the house family, they bring their own booties and wear them without asking.

I haven’t had the technician or service yet but I had to write a review strictly on speaking with Joanna who answered my call.
We apparently have a black widow problem and were advised to call an extermination company after our air conditioner service technician discovered a problem. I called a few places and none were nearly as helpful or priced as good as Sentry. Joanna spoke with me on the phone for over 15 minutes and made sure to answer every single one of my questions. She also explained the plans and one time services in great detail and didn’t push me in either direction. I opted for the monthly based solely on all the information given.
She was pleasant and friendly and didn’t make me feel dumb when voicing my concerns or asking numerous questions. I look forward to working with this company!

Well. I called because I have a severe bed bug problem and I wanted to see how much it would cost for someone to come out here and fix that problem. The (RUDE) lady on the phone said «sorry we aren’t accepting any more clients at this time». Ugh??? What? This isn’t some fancy pa firm or something, it’s a freaking pest control company. You could have at least offered to make an appointment for another day. Ridiculous.

Best Pest Control Company Ever
After returning from summer vacation, we discovered a bed bug infestation in two of our three bedrooms. Unfortunately, it was Friday night, Labor Day weekend. I called about six different companies who were open according to their websites, yet only one called me back. Frustrated, I emailed Sentry at about 8 pm explaining the situation, within 10 minutes Rudy called me. He said the owner/​boss had forwarded my email to him. Not only were they checking emails on a Friday night, but were also responding to them. But, it gets better. Rudy came to our house on Labor Day, for no extra charge, to inspect and spray for bed bugs. We had the whole house done, just in case, and the prices were extremely reasonable considering the peace of mind we were looking for. We didn’t feel pressured at all.
Rudy was very thorough, very professional, and answered all of our questions. He sent me link to a Tumbler that he had created answering the most common questions. After the initial treatment, Rudy returned two more times and now were in our 60 day guarantee period.
I hope I never get bed bugs again, but if someone I know does, then I will send them right to Sentry.

We had wasps outside of our condo complex with a big mama’s nest in front of one of our units causing the tenant to go nuts from wasp apocalypse. Perhaps she has arachnophobia or spheksophobia or whatever but I was called nonstop for these wasps that were crawling all over her unit. So I promptly got to it. Sentry was the third company I called and they returned my call the same day. Because they were booked, I didn’t get an appointment til a week out which made me hesitate because I didn’t want those suckers traveling into my house either. Monday comes and Ruben shows up on time. He cleaned everything up and vacuumed the wasps clean. Later that day, per my neighbor, there were dead wasps all over the walkway. So I called him back and he came back to the property within an hour to clean it up! Superb service.
I thought I was done but no, I get another call saying that they missed two more little nests that were near my door! Yikes. I called Ruben and let him know asap. He came out the next day and cleaned it all up. Again. No questions asked, no complaints.
Ruben is super sweet and so awesome! Now that’s what I call customer service!

I had rats somehow get into my attic. I called 4 pest control companies. Each came to my home and inspected my property, then provided a quote. 3 of those companies first and obvious top priorities were to sell «services» and «extras» prior to even looking at my attic. The sales pitches, lousy inspections and high estimates were unending… until Sentry showed up! Their guy was on time, professional, and got straight to work with my inspection and quote. He climbed up on my second story tile roof and located every access point. His quote was unbelievable reasonable and fair. When he came back to do the job, he was on time, quick and thorough.
I got a six month guarantee, and darn it… those little boogers found a way back in! I called Sentry, they are on it!!! I am extremely impressed with this company!

You know its not going to be a good day when you wake up the second morning in a row with an insect bite you didn’t have when you went to bed and you discover not only the typical bed bug droppings on your sheet but the fricking bug itself and it looks exactly like the picture on Google images of a bed bug. No problem — I’ll just call Western Exterminators who took over for our previous pest control firm since we’ve been paying them to spray every month for the last 20 years. They’ll come out, right? Wrong. They did call back and left a message but then wouldn’t call me back a second time. So to Unilocal I go. The first place I call quoted $ 895 to do 4 bedrooms — we have to do them to be sure they said. They could come tomorrow. Sleep in the same bed another night and get bit again? I don’t think so.
Then I called Sentry and had a call back from Rudy in 5 minutes. He came by an hour later. He decided it was just one bug — no spray — just wash or dry all the bed clothes and all the suitcases and clothes from our trip. He explained it all to my wife and answered all her questions and was very knowledgeable. and charged much less than the $ 895 quoted by the other company. And Western — forget it — they never called back.

Impressive from start to finish … from our original quote with John which was thorough with absolutely zero sales pitch or pressure (stuff we thought was termite damage wasn’t, and stuff we didn’t know was) … John was professional and just knew his business. We finally called and scheduled almost a year later (nothing to do with them), and they honored the price they had quoted us, and booked us within a couple of weeks — all working within our schedule.
Their crew was WONDERFUL — very respectful of our home, talked to us about plants we would temporarily lose because of the tenting and even explained how to bring them back. We were there to see the tent come off, and they were very careful with our property and very organized in putting everything away. A couple of hours later, you never knew we had it done.
We are so glad we went with Sentry — they did a really great job!
