O’ Connor Pest Control

I’ve had service with O’Connor for about a year now. They are wonderful family owned pest pest-​control company local to Camarillo. I can only say wonderful things about my technician, Henry. He called me a day before as requested, was on time with his appointments, and even would come back when needed. I would always know my service was completed because he would leave me a slip on my door. I highly recommend them for the Camarillo area as their prices are reasonable and they are more than happy to come back whenever you need them.
To be honest, I have only had one issue that was quickly resolved with one phone call from Dave Watkins. If you ever have any issues, go directly to Dave.
Even though I’m moving, I will continue to promote them to my VC friends.

The problem I have with them is that they keep scheduling our service over a week earlier than they’re supposed to so that adds another month’s billing at the end of the year. Instead of bi-​monthly service, now we are into service every month and a half. Of course they know exactly what they’re doing so I intend to stay on top of that!

I hired Hydrex as one year contract and we moved mid way through the contract
and ask them to please continue the service to our new house which was 3.3 miles
from the old house. They said that they had to send another person in OUR AREA to
take over the contract… which I said fine! BUT No one ever came! But Hydrex wanted their
money anyway!!!

Sales rep Corinne is pushy and comes across as a used car salesperson. She tried to convince me on how I should continue my service when in fact we got rid of the cockroaches a while back (she had no idea if this was still a problem or not at my property). Also, be very careful for what you sign up for and read the fine print (my property manager signed a 12-​month agreement which couldn’t be cancelled). This company has contracts where you will be obligated to pay for 12 months of service and the service will continue until you provide them with a cancellation notice in writing with 30 days advance notice. 30 days? is this a rental agreement of some sort? Why so much advance notice? Terms are ridiculous. We are in year 2016 when non happy customers can write bad reviews which can really drive a business out of business. These guys are still operating pre-​internet days.

This year I had another problem with bugs. (I hope no one thinks I’m this crazy «bug» person!)
Anyway, this year I knew exactly what to do! — No if’s, ands, or buts! Immediately, I called
Eric with Hydrex. He addressed the problem right away. I don’t know what the other guys in this company are like, but Eric is great — so make sure you get him. Eric is knowledgeable, honest, reliable, responsive, and concerned about his customers! So if you ever have a problem with pests, he’s the guy to call!

I was purchasing a home and the sellers chose Hydrex as their vendor for the termite inspection. The inspection was performed promptly and the fumigation and repairs were done very well. A few weeks later I had an issue with my lender that required some explanation from Hydrex and they were incredibly responsive. Carmen and Fred have gone above and beyond and helped me get the information I needed when I was in a pinch with my lender. I truly appreciate the hard work, great quality and service. I will be recommending you to everyone I know, I already posted a review on my facebook page.

STAY AWAY! Do not do business with this company. Horrible service and will LIE and not follow through with anything they say or promise.
Unfortunately, I fell for the «great deal» from the door to door sales guy. Said we could cancel at any time if we didn’t like the service. After 2 months of bad service and more bugs than before, we decided to cancel our service. We got to experience Hydrex’s horrible customer service and dealt with Corrine.
Read the other reviews about customer service. Corrine, was completely unprofessional and promised my wife and I a «free» service after the first technician came out and was done with our whole house and yard in less than 10 minutes. His service caused more spiders & insects which is why we called to let them know we were dissapointed. We were told by Corrine that she would send out a different technician, which we liked a lot better but then said that the service was not «free» like she had previously promised. She then went on saying that I lied and was extremely rude. I asked to speak with the manager and finally spoke with one a few days after leaving a message.
In the end, we had to pay a $ 175 cancellation fee even though we were told we could cancel at any time for free!
Do yourself a favor and save yourself and wallet a headache and stay away from Hydrex in Camarillo. Trust me.

Hydrex handled a sticky situation with us very professionally. They followed up and even came to out house to talk to us face to face.

Terrible customer service. I had them for years & their accounting department misapplied my payments. The credit department left me a very rude message on my machine & followed up with a very nasty letter saying I owe them a $ 175 termination fee. (No I don’t I’m not under contract) I left a message telling them how displeased I was and they returned my call. This is how it went. Hydrex: Sorry about the letter you received but it looks like you fell behind in your payments. My response, how can that be when I pay off your statements with the balance due? Hydrex: hum I don’t know. My response, I guess I need to do your leg work & copy all my cleared checks. Hydrex: okay I’ll have the accounting department send you a statement of your account & payments. I’ll be leaving Hydrex, I will inform my neighbors & social media of the turn of events. Good luck Hydrex you’ll need it, with this kind if attitude.

Lame people.
My folks were clients for YEARS. Like double digit years!!!
They passed and we had to cancel the service.
They had the nerve to say. Oh it is to late and in a MONTH we will have to charge you for the next quarter.
I hope they choke on their pesticides.

I had a rep come to our door several months ago at 8:30 at night. My husband and I were in jacuzzi and husband went to get door. The gentleman wanted us to sign up for service at $ 49 a month. He said we could cancel any time. I call to cancel and they are now telling me that I signed a year long contract and that I would have to pay a $ 175 early cancellation fee. Of course now they said they can do every two months at a discounted rate. I don’t want a discount rate I want to cancel service. Now I will be out $ 175 for this! IRRITATED!

I had been using Hydrex for 3 years, and they must have changed something because their customer service this year has been horrible. First let me say, «Corin» who assisted me on the phone tried very hard and was very understanding. But I had to explain things to her a few times. However, I was to get quarterly service and when I had to schedule and call 4 times in the month of October for service and then receive a bill even though the technician failed to show I was pretty angry. After talking with different phone reps, they finally understood why I was perturbed over a bill. The technician had stated he had been to my home and completed service which he had not. Someone was to get back to me. So after about 8 calls, a technician was to come in again November of which did not happen. Today was the last straw, a technician was to arrive between 9 – 11 and I had to call at 1130 asking what happened. They simply did not know why the technician did not show. Really? Then they wanted to send the technician who indicated he had done the service «Andrew». So after speaking with Corin again, who I could tell was disappointed in having no answers or solutions for me, I cancelled my service. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I have been using Hydrex Camarillo CA for at least 10 years — have NEVER had a problem — always prompt and responsive and cost is reasonable. i wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

Terrible service, never resolved pest problems. Horrible customer service in the office Corrine is terrible and rude. Do not use this company.
