Dropped my car off late friday and got a call Sunday, ready! Beautiful job, reasonable, professional, I would never go else where

I took my bike after getting into an accident great place. fix the damage and customize some parts I want it to be done great price the shop doesn’t look fancy but the quality from the job excellent and on time I highly recommend this place…

This has to be the best auto body in town. Alex and his team got my race bike ready within 2 days at reasonable cost. I’d say the cheapest in town. The paint was more than I expected. Highly recommended.

Where do I start. 1. I specifically told Alex the owner I did not want metallic or metal flake, I got metallic. 2. Some of my chrome has sanding marks. 3. Overspray everywhere. I spent 2 ½ hours removing over spray just from around my trunk lid. More to go. 4. Took the car back for color sanding and buffing. They said it would take 4 to 5 hours. I got the car back 3 days later and what a mess. Some of my rubber molding was torn or frayed. Some of the car still had orange peel like it hadn’t even been color sanded. 5. Could not believe what a mess the engine compartment was. Sanding dust and over spray everywhere. 6. The paint around two of the door handles is already showing signs of bubbling. 7. Mag wheels, more of the same. 8. While cleaning up this mess, I found a scratch in the paint which I’m sure happened before I picked up the car. 9. When I initially met with Alex and he quoted me a price I asked him what I was getting. He said they do a 2 stage painting, I got a single stage painting. That’s what they do at places like Earl Scheib. 10. Tried to pick my car up twice and when I got there no one was there when they said they would be. The first time I did pick up the car it wasn’t ready when they said it would be and they had lost a part. After looking for the part for about a half hour, I was the one that eventually found it. After picking up the car for the second and final time I drove off with a sigh of relief knowing I don’t have to go back there again.
I paint boats for a living so I know what it takes to do a good job. A good job is only as good as the preparation. Sanding, priming, masking, spraying, etc. I should have taken my car to Earl Scheib.
I was really hoping I could write a favorable review but I just can’t. Go some place else.

Alex and his crew went out of their way to help with the body work and paint job needed on my Toyota FJ Cruiser. My work schedule was really crazy that week and I needed my car back ASAP for commuting. Alex and his crew stayed really long and late hours to get the work done and the quality of work was amazing. I won’t be going anywhere else for auto body work. I highly recommend Clear Coat Auto & Body. Excellent job on custom work and repair. Thank you Alex and your crew. This here is my baby! My first car, unfortunately some guy hit and run me. He hit the front of my truck did some serious damage, my insurance wont or didn’t cover me because it was a hit and run. So I’m struggling looking for a good place to take my truck. Let me remind you i didn’t want to drive it. What i like about alex’s shop is that they tow your vehicle to their shop! That is awesome! I called a different shop and told me they tow for $ 80, those $ 80 went on a full tank of gas after my truck was repaired. Alex told me he had a lot of work, he said three weeks and ill paint the whole truck, fix the dents all around, front bumper he even did something i will never forget! Let me remind you all. Im 19 years old. Struggling financially and had to fix this to continue working he worked with me so we could set up a good price. We settled on the price and he went out of his way to buy me a NEW, yes let me repeat that. A new head light. His money, not mine. I only paid for the paint and body damage. If i could rate this ¹⁰⁄₁₀ id do it but i cant because the limit is 5! Ive already recommended 3 people to his shop and will gladly recommend everyone to go in. I remember the day i went there when they picked me up in their tow truck i saw a Maserati parked in the lot ready to be painted and also saw another exotic car inside i couldn’t tell. If he works with those types of cars, I’m pretty sure he must have a good reputation with his customers. Because really? Who would take an exotic to just a random body shop. I know i wouldn’t. From now on this is my shop. I don’t plant of getting hit again. But if i do. Im going there definitely. Before this accident my truck look old. Paint was fading away, but after the whole job, my truck looked stunning! My neighbors said. Wow gerardo, is that a new truck, * ok everyone it was not a new truck but i decided to play it off ahaha* so i tell them yeah. His paint made my truck more appealing and i actually get recognized! One last thing to wrap up this review, before anyone checks out other shops, give this man a call!!! He is a man of his word. Hahah i also owe him lunch, so if anyone is nice enough! Buy him lunch and tell him i sent it to him. And also ask him thanks for helping me when in need.

There was a minor problem, but Alex went out of his way to correct the matter after some confusion. My part was located and the repair was handled very well.
I can recommend this facility to others. Hours are very convenient too.

Avoid this place at all cost! Avoid! This place is so shady! It should of been closed down when this thing called Alex took ownership, doesn’t even deserve to be named a man. Specially when he isn’t of his word. He is a coward and can’t come talk like a man when he and his workers mess up. And I have all pictures and text messages from both of his workers and his cell and company phone. I’m not just talking out of my rear end kind of review. I have proof!
On my first impression it was great, what I thought customer service should be. He answered, tried to help me out by giving me a quote via picture text;the pics of damage done to my car. He told me to take it to his shop and have his painter look at it. So I took it that same day got the quote. Returned a couple of days later to drop it off. He tells me my car will be fixed in 3 days when I drop it off. I was surprised he said that because every shop I’ve heard of keeps it approx 1 week so I tell him if he needs more time let me know right then and there so I can make arrangements to for transportation and what not. (Work in DTLA, go to school, and daddy duties so yeah I need to have a plan to get things done). He gave me his word it will be a quality flawless professional repair, which it is not.
On the third day which is supposed to be the pick up date, he isn’t picking up his phone… Hmm odd… I show up and there is only his painter Martin (Martin lives at the shop, go figure why he is there at all hours). Martin tells me he hasn’t even started working on my car because Alex left on a party bus to idk what destination and didn’t tell him what work needed to be done nor left him with helpers and isn’t answering his phone calls as well. We call Alex on the spot, still no pick up. I understood Martin was understaffed for that day and he tells me he will need my car two more days and it will be complete by then. I leave it no problem. Alex finally returns my call the next day. Tells me he was out of town and makes a different story as to why my car isn’t ready and doesn’t match up with Martins, little did he know that I had already spoken with Martin and showed up to his body shop. From that day on it was the turning point and all goes down hill very fast.
Alex stops answering my calls most of the time, he ask for extra day to work on the car as each day goes by. He tells me each day it will be ready for pick up the next. He text me back, which seems to be the best way to reach him or showing up to the shop. On one night that my car is «ready» he tells me that someone is on their way to pick me up so I can get my car. I waited all night and 9pm hit when his repair shop closes, at that point no more answers. Next day. He sends me pictures of my car being painted says the car will be ready that night, odd right? Same bs story, different day. I couldn’t do much since I worked all day and went to school at night until 10pm. He did say by 6pm deadline car would be ready and he would notify my, it was 10:15pm and still no notification nor did he answer any phone.
Okay, one more day with out my car… Next morning, I was able to contact him. He said work was overwhelming with all the repairs he had to do but my car was drying and «for sure» my car would be ready. He was going to have someone pick me up as soon as I got out of work so that I can get my car. Yeah, heard that one before buddy; I’m waiting same thing. I ask him where is the ride at and his response is, the guy in the silver accord is picking up another customer first and will be on his way to pick me up. I waited another hour and a half, no one showed up so I got a ride from someone else and show up at his shop unannounced. By that time it was around 8:45pm. It’s pretty dark and he didn’t notice who I was at first it seemed and said what’s up to me as I walk past him and he is heading to speak with a customer in the paint booth. I see my car, walk up to it and it looks complete and ready to go until I walk to the driver side and see that my whole driver side from the head lights to the tail light is stripped down for the most part. No mirrors, door handles, door interiors, no nothing. The car was not even properly prepped nor covered. I was beyond pissed but kept it in line so that I could speak with him but he just hid and sat down in side the paint booth. He couldn’t even look at me nor make eye contact. That’s how low this Alex is. I told them to give me my car keys and all of my parts that I would take my car as is. I didn’t even want to leave it there although I did since I didn’t want anyone to go and open my car easily over night or while at work. His painter Martin steps up and says he feels bad, for everything that has happened. He puts together the car and does finalizing touches to my car and has someone pick me up the next day. I get there and everything is back but it is a horrible repair. It’s actually worse than how I took it in and it’s was only a 3 month old car.

This place is awesome, they do really good work! I highly recommend this body shop. My car looks brand new, honest workers here.

I got a dent in my car last year and I finally had some money to go and fix my car. At first I went to a place called Quality Assured Collision Center, which is like 5 minutes away. All I wanted was a simple scratch the size of a pencil to be removed and for all the minor scratches to be buffed out. To get the scratch removed it would cost me $ 450 and to get all of my car waxed it was going to be $ 250. Point of my story is I was not going to pay that much and after going on Unilocal I ended up at this place. I was greeted by a nice man by the name of Pancho. I told him what I wanted and he gave me an estimate. My total was $ 280. That’s $ 280 for EVERYTHING!!! Holy crap, I didn’t even let him finish his sentence when I started to say yes, yes, yes. I left my car and within a day it was ready to be picked up. The other place was going to keep my car for the whole weekend. –_​-​What surprised me more was that they kept my car a day longer because I told them I wouldn’t be able to come in. They said it was fine and that it would be in good hands and in good hands it was. :D When I finally got dropped off to see the results I was shocked, thrilled, ecstatic, happy, and relieved because my car looked like the first day I got it, which was back in 2013. The scratches were gone and the exterior was shining again. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. Don’t ever settle for the first place you find. Always explore your options because there is always a place that’s better. I’m so glad I came across this place. I wish I had a before and after picture, but I was just so upset with the first place that I didn’t bother. Pancho you and your team are amazing!!! I will definitely be coming back. Before I start my review id like to say that I know what I’m talking about when it comes to paint. My car has been a SEMA car (indoors for two years) and has countless trophies to show the quality of its build. The last paint shop I visited was C&C collision in Alhambra (M fest winning shop) so I picked up a 2007 Suzuki SV650 just to get my feet wet with the motorcycle scene. I got an AMAZING deal on it because the paint was terrible to say the least, every single fairing was cracked/​broken and the tank had several dents in it. Honestly the bike was a write off, once I realized how much I loved riding I felt terrible about my purchase, it was embarrassing and honesty an eye sore…
So I started looking into painting the bike, 4 body shops told me to just buy all new fairings and a gas tank. The only problem with that is that on the SV650’s parts are scarce and expensive, think 700+ for a good condition tank and 1K plus for OEM fairings. So I stopped by and spoke to Alex… he listened to my concerns and assured me that he could handle it «I love working on projects people say can’t be fixed» were his words. So I left him my keys and my bike and went about my day, that same day my bike was stripped down and the repairs began, I ended up choosing Austin Yellow for the color (from the newer BMW’s) long story short the bike came out amazing, all the fairings were fixed and you couldn’t tell where the original damage was. Alex and his crew definitely worked a miracle on my bike and it was all done in a timely manner but more importantly within my budget.
Body show are notorious for being sketchy and I didn’t get that vibe from this place. I wouldn’t hesitate to bring any vehicle to the guys at clear coat. They’ve actually painted a few of my friends bikes since they loved the quality, I can’t wait to bring in the new bike and have Alex and the guys work their magic. Thank you so much for bringing life into my old bike when most said it was totaled

Came to these guys to repaint rear bumper damage on a red Chevy Cruze. They did the work in two days. :) They guarantee their work!

I have owned my motorcycle for almost 1 year, when i noticed that i kept getting pulled over for the smallest reason, 5 mph above speed limit, concealed license plate, etc, etc… then it dawned on me… my motorcycle is bright red with black, and draws lots of attention. I met Alex on facebook via a riding group page, and I asked him about painting my motorcycle… he told me to pick out a color, and he would take care of it… I removed all my plastics, threw them in the back of my truck, and drove them out to him… Fast forward to a week later… and he calls me that my parts are done… we picked out a Midnight Blue Pearl color, and she looks beautiful! Excellent Job Alex… She shimmers so nice in the sun… I also posted a picture of my motorcycle on Yamaha Motors Website, and we got over 5k likes and 1k shares… Oh…and the cops don’t bother me anymore either… lol…I will definitely take my motorcycle back to him, whenever i decide to paint her again… Keep up the good work Alex!!!

I went there on Thursday around noon just to get a quote to fix the damage on the bumper of a rental car I had in my position and they gave me such a great and cheap price that I decided to leave the car there right away (their price was ¹⁄₃ cheaper than the bodyshop in L.A. Which I was referred by a friend) :\
Long story short Alex the owner of the business called me the next day asked me to go there pick up my car! I couldn’t believe they did such an amazing job for me when I saw the car… nSuch a great, friendly n more importantly expert guy same with the other guy who I call Him speedy Gonzales ;)) (no English) is a bomb, he’s unbelievably fast!
I will definitely recommend this place to friends.

My jeep’s door got hit by a big steel meter, which dented the door. Alex at clear coat gave us an estimate over the phone. The price was great, so we took it in. The service was Top Notch, they made me feel comfortable and gained my trust. The door looks perfect. They had my car ready in a day. I highly recommend the guys at clear coat. So if you need body work, give them a call.

Recently the side of my car had gotten a major scratch and I wanted to get it repaired ASAP in order for rust not to set in. I had gone to two other places in order to get an estimate. The first place wanted to charge about $ 525 and told me I needed to get the entire panels repainted and that the paint would not match the rest of the car. This scratch wasn’t too big either, at least not to get the whole panel repainted. The second estimate I had gotten wanted to charge close to $ 700. My last hope was Clear Coat and when I had gotten there, they were extremely helpful. My estimate was $ 180. Their work was diligent and quick, in that I dropped my car off on my lunch break this past Tuesday and they called the next morning to tell me it was done. They stuck with the original price and honored the Unilocal deal. I was completely satisfied with the work they did and I already recommended them to a few people. Highly recommend because of quality service

I hang been to this particular shop but the same guy that owns Clear Coat Auto Body & Collision owns this one too! So I was having a pretty bad day because my car was giving me a headache! And the worst part is it’s Sunday! I came across this shop and the people were nothing but nice to me! I had minor problems so it didn’t take long to fix at all. Now headache gone!!! Thanks so much!

There were some issues that my car was having that needed to be fixed. I have taken my car to previous body shops and asked for estimates or my car to be diagnosed, and the minute I would tell them that I would shop around to ensure I am getting the best priced, they would turn me away. I basically stumbled upon Clear Coat and Alex immediately made me feel at home and took care of my problems. Alex was very professional about the service, he was very understanding of my needs and was very clear about what was wrong with my car. You can easily tell when someone is trying to be a snake and get more money off of you versus someone being genuine. I am willing to drive from San Fernando Valley to come over here and get my car fixed should any issue arise. The way I see it, there’s a lot of competitive body shops, but it’s the experience that brings one back to the business, and I am happy to give Clear Coat 5 stars and recommendations to any one out there that needs help.
