I had Norbert did the entire front and side rocker panels for my Mercedes recently and he really took the time to explain his work and the characteristic of the different types of film. He does great quality work as others have said. I would not hesitate to go back for any future installations !

I went to visit Norbert — based on previous Unilocal reviews — during the second weekend of January, 2016. He turned out to be super friendly, very professional, and (most importantly) a little obsessive about quality. If I’m going to hire someone to put a giant piece of film over the front of my new 2016 BMW M3, obsessive is a trait I can get behind. He was so obsessive that, when I came to pick up my car that evening, he noticed a super small piece of lint that had gotten under the film, and spent the next 5 minutes removing and re-​applying that panel to make sure it was perfect.
So far, the Suntek film works as he advertised. The reflection is sharp, the surface is smooth, and the car really does look like it’s brand new.
Hire Norbert. He’s fantastic. Now, I just feel bad that I couldn’t afford to have my entire car covered in film. One day, Norbert. One day.

I’m totally stoked with the quality of workmanship that Norbert applied to my Tesla Model S. Prior to taking delivery of the car, I researched a dozen installers in the area, read hundreds of forum posts, and I’m so happy that I chose Crystal Autoshield for my complete vehicle Suntek installation.

I purchased the premium package (bumper, headlights, partial hood, partial fender, mirrors) for my one week old white 2016 Golf R. Norbert did an amazing job on the installation. When I saw the car, I had to look twice to find the subtle edges of the partial wrap. He even went the extra mile to custom cut and wrap my bumper vent grill which isn’t part of the default template for my car. He also took the time to share with me all his tips on car care (and even bicycle care!).
His prices are excellent too. I called a handful of 5-​star clear bra shops in southern California, and Norbert had the best prices.

By far the best quality of work and customer service that I could ask for. Norbert spent as much time as needed to answer all my questions with great detail. I called around a dozen shops and was put off by the amount of conflicting information by different installers. Norbert had excellent recommendations and backed them up with solid facts and comparisons that made me feel completely comfortable about getting the work done. Norbert of Crystal Autoshield did a great job for me, once again!
He just completed the full-​front treatment on my Porsche 997 Turbo with the Sun Tek self-​healing clear film, and the car looks great. This is the second Porsche 911 that Norbert has covered for me in the past three years. In 2012, I asked Norbert to cover the full front ofmy 997 Carrera Cab S, and it was nothing short of amazing. Less than half the price of the Porsche dealer for better frontal area coverage. At that time, Norbert used the Xpel self-​healing clear film which the dealer did not even know about.
Norbert’s customer service is second to none, he’s a very nice guy, and a pleasure to deal with. He promptly returns phone calls and emails, explains the benefits of the products he uses, and his installation skills for the clear film are immaculate. Norbert takes his time and does a great job.
The Sun Tek film Norbert installed this go around may be even better than the Xpel he used previously — great gloss and no seams are apparent. I’m very particular about my cars, and it is obvious that Norbert takes pride in doing a perfect job. I would highly recommend him to all my friends. Thanks again Norbert!

My car: 2015 Subaru STi. I had been ambivalent for years about doing a clear bra on a car. Always heard horror stories: «…it will strip your paint when you remove it…, it will change color and crack, etc…» Always stayed away from them in the past, but after doing some research and talking to several installers… I had become sold on the idea, but the prices they had quoted me were so high I just couldn’t justify the cost for the things I wanted to do (everything!).
Enter Norbert at Crystal Autoshield. Norbert was the last installer I requested a quote from, and his email was sitting in my inbox for a week or so since I thought I wasn’t going to do it anymore. But just wanted to be thorough, so I followed up and replied to his quote. I was surprised to discover his prices were significantly lower than the other installers I had contacted. «Oh, well his work can’t be any good» I thought…“his price is too low compared to the others…” but then I read his reviews on Unilocal and all 5 stars! Dealing with Norbert was an absolute pleasure in every aspect. While other installers were either vague or didn’t like talking on the phone, Norbert immediately setup a phone appointment to answer all the questions I emailed him. He did this quickly and easily. I was very impressed with him, because he spent over an hour with me on the phone! He answered all my questions and was so patient, friendly, and helpful. He didn’t make me feel like he had other more important things to do like some of the other installers did. He has great communication skills and was very thorough and thoughtful with his answers to all my detailed anal questions, and he answered them all… I could tell he was a car guy too, and he just made me feel totally at ease. His multitude of Unilocal reviews also reassured me that he knew what he was doing.
Because his price was so much more affordable compared to the other installers, and he had so many good reviews, but especially because I felt totally comfortable with him after our phone conversation, I made the appointment. I could just tell when I had talked with him on the phone that he was someone that took great pride in his work. When I arrived to his install location, it was immaculate, I mean you could eat off the floor! Everything was so well organized and clean. And the results are awesome! He wrapped all edges that were possible to wrap and was very good at explaining why he could or couldn’t wrap this or that one. We had removed some panels and my hood scoop so he could do a full wrap of them, as well as other areas of the car, for a beautiful install. Additionally, he did a couple extra things without charging me because he knew I was on a tight budget. I really appreciated that. The main thing is his workmanship was super! The car is just so beautiful and I am so happy! I definitely emphatically recommend Norbert to anyone wanting a clear bra for their car. He is super awesome!

Norbert was awesome from start to finish.
I contacted around 10 installers in the area for XPEL ultimate but ended up with Norbert’s SUNTEK product. He explained everything to me and what persuaded me was the fact that SUNTEK produces their own products whereas XPEL outsources their products. SUNTEK is also a subsidiary for EASTMAN chemicals which is a company I sold to when working in the Petrochemical business so I knew the quality would be there.
Everyone always wants the same thing; the best product at a lower cost and Norbert offers exactly that.
I picked up my X5 and immediately wanted a clearbra for my car. After searching, Norbert was kind and was not in a rush to educate me in the quality and the process. We set up a schedule and when we finally met, I knew that I found the perfect installer.

When it comes to paint protection /​clear bra installation, Crytal Autoshield is the only place and Norbert is best of the best. What can I say? All the other reviews on Crystal AutoShield and Norbert Ibarra are spot on. He has tremendous pride in his work, delivers as promised (and some), customizes as needed and provides service with a smile. He truly loves cars and his craft.
I took my 2013 Corvette Z06 (carbon edition) to him for utmost care, and the car looks absolutely amazing! He customized the pieces that weren’t already factory loaded in the computer. You can’t tell the film is anywhere on the car from the factory cutouts to the customized pieces. He also advised me that SunTek had the better finish than other brands — I’m so glad he did. The car looks like a mirror shine — like it’s been freshly waxed all the time. I now have confidence that small highway rocks/​debris and errant swinging parking lot car doors won’t damage the paint (whereas before I was always apprehensive), and any miniscule scratches will be magically erased by the self heeling properties of the wrap. Of course it likely won’t protect from boulders or vandalism, but I am happy with the work he did and the piece of mind I have in protecting my investment.
Not only does Norbert do an excellent job, he quoted WAY below the other businesses that wrap cars in a clear bra. No doubt, I highly recommend the services of Crystal AutoShield (Norbert Ibarra) for anyone with a car/​wallet they want to protect because he will definitely provide the highest quality service without taking your arm, leg and/​or first born.

Was really leery to have paint protection installed on my Jeep Rubicon as I’ve heard mixed reviews about the installation process and actual protection provided.
My buddy referred me to Crystal Auto Shied and told me that Norbert who was the owner/​installer would be able to answer any questions I may have about the whole thing. Boy was he right!!! Norbert is knowledgeable not only about the products he sells but about the process as a whole, something you just don’t see in 2015 too often. After speaking with him for about 20 min he was able to answer all of my questions and appease my concerns regarding the paint protection process.
I made an appointment with him the following weekend to drop my car off for installation (pretty easy to make an appointment too). I arrived work stall and immediately I realized how clean and organized the workspace was. Not to mention he was punctual, ready to go, and looked professional when I arrived.
The installation took exactly the amount of time he had quoted, about half a day without my car. I had him do a full wrap on my hood, fenders, headlights, grill and windshield surround. Pretty extensive but the Jeep goes off road a lot and I wanted plenty of protection. (Figured if I’m doing it might as well go all in) The quality of the installation was impeccable, not only that, my car was clean and just as I had left it, something hard to find with most installers/​repairers nowadays.
All in all I highly recommend Crystal Auto Shield, this is old school personalized customer service and artisanal craftsmanship at its finest. As far as I’m concerned if every business ran like this we wouldn’t need Unilocal.

This is an updated version of my review, in light of the two additional cars Norbert has done for me:
Norbert is diligent, responsive, and thorough. He has done three new cars for us: a 2013 Audi S5; a 2014 Audi SQ5; and, most recently, my new 2015 RS5.
Norbert is always quick to get right back to me, answer any questions I have, and has offered to come to me if I wanted him to. I have opted to go to him each time because his place is much more ideal for an install than mine (you should do this, too, for several reasons). His place is super clean and has wi-​fi, a lounging area, and so on. He’s also close to several places you can go while away a few hours while he does his work. Heartwell Park, Long Beach Towne Center, etc.
He is very adaptable and flexible about the installations — with my S5 and RS5 he even added a few pieces to make sure all the areas were covered and perfectly matched. He goes above and beyond — last weekend when he was doing my RS5, he even covered the door edges! I would never have even thought to ask, but he did it and it’s frickin’ awesome. He also made sure that he matched the matte finish of the trim around my windshield rather than using glossy film which wouldn’t have looked as good.
And he truly takes pride in his work. This is not a rushed, assembly line «job» for him; it’s really a creative labor of love and it thoroughly shows in his work and his attitude. Like me, he’s a passionate car lover. So «good» isn’t good enough. It has to be perfect.
For such excellent craftsmanship and quality, I would expect to pay more. Please don’t tell Norbert, but I’d be happy to pay more. But he kicks ass in this regard as well: for my most recent job, a shop in West LA quoted me a price 40% higher than Norbert’s.
In summary, over the past three years (and three cars) I’ve been very impressed by his work, his attention to detail, and his professionalism.
Perhaps most important: Norbert is a good guy, and there’s not enough of those around!
I highly recommend him and Crystal Autoshield. Look no further; this is the place.

I got my new Lexus IS350 F Sport wrapped with XPEL film (front bumper, side mirrors, fenders, headlights and door cups) done by Norbert (owner). Not only did he do an EXCELLENT job on my car, his pricing was competitive compared to other authorized XPEL installers in SoCal.

Norbert Ibarra is an extremely well-​mannered and professional person. His facilities are spotless and he is impressively organized. He did an INCREDIBLE job on my car in a very timely fashion. My Mercedes E320 looks even sharper than it did before AND I can finally see my headlights, clear as ever! They had a disgusting thick yellow layer of nastiness that had built up over the years. I should have done this a long time ago. The next car I buy will be driven straight here upon purchase. Norbert even did the area behind the exterior door handles, which is great for protecting against constant fingernails and rings… awesome!

Talking with Norbert, I knew I had the right man for the job. His prices were reasonable and he was willing to work with me on all options. He was articulate and spent time with explaining the options pros and cons.
Norbert installed the Suntek film on our 2015 Audi A6 on the front bumper and headlights as well as luggage area of the rear bumper. The reliability and customer service that Norbert provides is just not found very often in today’s business. He was patient to schedule the project on multiple occasions. He was on his way to our house to complete the job and called to let me know he may be late as he was on the side of the road changing a flat tire (he even texted me a picture). The finished product came out amazing. I called him a few days later to inquire about wax and sealants and any ill effect on the film, and he called me right back and answered all of my questions. I will definitely be recommending him to all my friends and family.

I decided to give Norbert a call. I met up him and was very pleased with his knowledge. We discussed what I was looking for and he made some recommendations. I have a 2014 Accord EX-​L and decided to go with the partial front end. Norbert also threw in some additional items. Front spoiler, front grill trim, door cups, rear bumper decking. My car looks great. He did all this in a Saturday morning.
Norbert took the time to explain the process and product and then we just talked about life. I appreciate that he took the time and was not rushing me out. I did look around and found his pricing to be fair. For all the extra things he did cost me a little less than 6-​bills. He’s a local business that we need to support. He is the one that does all the work and it shows in the product he turns out. Did I say my car looks great? Well it does!
