AAA Calvert Electrical, Heating & Air Conditioning

Hi 2 years ago had Tom come out as per my previous review, this time the condo had a new roof installed and after my ducts were cleaned we thought my AC was dead.
Luckily Tom came out again (he’s the best guy!) and after testing noticed my covers were off the unit (I did that to allow access for him) and that was the problem!!! Super honest hard working people under a 100 for a service call but worth every cent!!! I love old school work ethic, and if you do, you should consider this company!

On time… very professional. .gave great advice and fixed the problem in the 1^st visit with a simple procedure

AAA Calvert came out when my air conditioning wasn’t working today. He was at my house in a matter of an hour. Thankfully it was a minor issue with a blown fuse. Maybe the repair took 15 – 20 minutes. Very professional, polite, and helpful. Thank you again.

We discovered a breaker in our box that didn’t seem to be flipping properly a little while back. Not knowing much about what we were looking at, we decided to call in a professional to take a peak. The serviceman from AAA Calvert was great — he came out, took a look and told us we had nothing to worry about. And, with that, he didn’t charge us for the visit/​consultation. That sort of integrity in any line of business is highly admirable, it’s even more amazing when it’s a topic/​field is something you know nothing about. I would definitely recommend AAA Calvert to anyone who asks for an electrician recommendation!

I can highly recommend AAA Calvert because I’m really happy with the service we received. We had a commercial central air unit replaced in 2013 at our business and when it took a crap on us we searched Unilocal for someone to service it because we had archived the receipt and couldn’t remember the name of the company we used in 2013. We found someone it looked like we could trust but they wouldn’t service our area so they referred AAA Calvert, thank God. It was late on a Friday night of a Holiday weekend and when we explained our situation to the office they came through and saved the day, it was pretty awesome! We got through that weekend thanks to them. The unit ended up having major issues caused by a manufactures defect. We had a 5 year warranty so we tracked down the receipt and the name of the company that did the original install. We checked out that company on Unilocal and good lord, they have just a massive amount of bad reviews and they were recent too so we decided we’d rather pay Calvert than use the warranty and the original company. Calvert did a lot of work for us. The repair tech we had was Jason and he really went above and beyond for us in the sense that he already had a lot of work and still really managed to make us feel like we were a priority. That meant a lot to us! The unit started making a crazy noise (had nothing to do with the work they did) after all the work was said and done and Jason was here at 8am the next morning. Customer service, once the work is complete, is a huge part of giving stellar customer service and having someone super helpful and understanding when you make the original call is just as huge, so, we were happy from start to finish!

I hired AAA Calvert to install a bathroom ceiling fan/​light/​heater and they did an awesome job. It required wiring to the new switch and also they installed a new circuit in my breaker for the heater. I had a couple other jobs they did too, they wired up my tankless water heater with a dedicated line, and also removed some knob & tube wiring in my attic that was still hot, now I can install insulation without starting a fire. The guys were great, showed up on time and did the work quickly. Dealing with the office was also a pleasant experience, its great to be able to call and reach someone right away if you have questions, which isn’t always the case with many contractors. Highly recommend AAA Calvert!

The team at AAA Calvert is fantastic, great, and superb! We had an older floor furnace in Belmont Shore that need some work and they did not shy away from helping us. Many other shops only want to work on new stuff and sell you new things. The Technician they sent, Adam and the others who also came were outstanding. The people in the office also went the extra mile to help us. This was during the last cold snap right after Christmas. I’ve worked with a lot of construction and HVAC people in the last 25 years and this is one of the very few I would recommend so strongly. Give them your business and patiently persist with the office if you need to (some other Unilocaler had a problem), they will deliver with flying colors!

I had heater and electrical problems and they solved them in the midst of a holiday weekend. I’m sitting in a warm and toasty house and watching TV on a rainy day. Thank you.

I called my regular plumbing company that I think is terrific, Petes Plumbing, but they do not work on HVAC systems and my heater wasn’t working… brrrrr. They recommended AAA Calvert. This morning Quentin from Calverts arrived to save the day. He was very knowledgable and polite. The heat is now working and I had him install a new thermostat. All working great! So happy that Pete’s recommended them.

I must say that I am impressed. After leaving an honest review more than a month ago I will say that AAA Calvert redeemed themselves.
I contacted 3 other local air conditioner installers and long story short: 1. Was pushy and intimidation must be the sales way. 2. Continued to cancel and push back the installation. 3. Was very vague and wouldn’t give me a solid quote. Kept saying things like should be, I’m sure it won’t cost more than, or my favorite I’ll let you know. He never let me know.
So after never quite feeling good about the alternatives I swallowed my pride and contacted AAA Calvert. I spoke with a representative who let me speak directly to the owner. She remembered me and was very nice. We went over the quote and set an installation date.
The day before she contacted me directly and confirmed the install for the next day. Her people showed up on time. The crane was on time. They worked around somebody I had working on my kitchen. They were courteous and left my place looking the same as when they came.
I’m very happy with the final product and would refer them to anybody needing an replacement air conditioner and furnace. I learned a lot about myself during this process and will try to be more patient.

After calling 5 different local heating companies, only AAA Calvert responded to my furnace needs. They were able to fit me in for same day service for my rental property compared to the other companies who were telling me they could get to me after the holidays. Prompt service & good work from the repair man Tom. Reasonable pricing ! Would definitely use them again as a landlord & homeowner. Thanks AAA Calvert !

i spoke to a lady about getting an estimate on central ac/​heat installation for my home. i spent time on the phone giving her all the necessary information, and we figured out a time and date. she was suppose to call back by end of that day or the next day to confirm… which never happened.

These guys are great! Competitive pricing, prompt on the estimate. Had an opening so were able to move us up early. They quoted us for three days of work but finished in a day and a half, as one guy was freed up from another job and came to join the crew of four who were working on our house. They’re conscientious, used shoe coverings when they first entered until they drop clothed everything, moved all the furniture back, and cleaned up after themselves. Good company!

This review is for work that was done in 2013. I can separate them into two different jobs, 1) the installation for an electric vehicle charger and 2) the installation of a ceiling fan and and whole house fan. I have recently gone up to review my attic with an HVAC installer and was embarrassed by the work performed by AAA Calvert. I will say that the office staff and the owner are very kind, seem extremely honest and believe they are good hard working people that intend to provide a good service to their customer. On job number 1, I cannot say I have crawled around under the house to check the work myself but after seeing my attic I am inclined to soon. On job number 2, I had to have them come back to fix some of the work they performed. The work was quoted as a new circuit but instead they tied into an existing circuit, something I specifically asked them not to do. The owner apologized and sent them back to fix it on a weekend. I am not sure if the two electricians were required to do the work on their own time since they clearly did not follow the instructions of the owner or but here is what I found, 6 Coors empty beer cans left in my attic; the Romex was draped diagonally across the attic with zero fasteners (not one). The connections look okay and all junctions are properly in there j-​boxes but there was little thought spent in cleanliness and maintainability. They did get the fans installed and electrons going to/​from the right places but I am not happy or impressed with the quality of work or professionalism of the individuals that performed the work. This is especially disappointing given I know for certain the office staff seems to work hard and provide a very professional experience. The owner and the office staff were very apologetic after the first mistake but I simply do not even want to deal with them after this. I hope I am a unique case, clearly there are others very happy with the work they received. I probably would be too if I never went to look for myself (I have attached a couple of images of what I saw when I went up in the attic today).

We recently had our Condo Building with 6 units upgraded with new electrical panels. AAA Calvert did the work. Unfortunately, there was a problem with the unit I own. I contacted the owner, T.J. who promptly came out and assessed the situation, and then made good on it. Everything was fixed to everyone’s satisfaction. I feel that a true measure of a company is how well they handle themselves should a problem arise, and T.J. was great. Highly recommended.

These guys are amazing! I called them first thing this morning… They were out of here within like an hour of me calling them, found the problem right away, and fixed it! I will definitely be calling them if I have a problem again! And their prices were amazing! I highly recommend using them! Great job guys!

AMAZING. I can’t believe how lucky i was to find AAA Calvert. I needed to switch over to LED lighting in my work place, and I had called around and got a fabulous quote from AAA. They showed up as promised, and did an awesome job. They are super professional, and made recommendations as needed. They never pushed me to do anything. We recently bought a house and had to buy all new appliances. We realized there weren’t enough outlets and some appliances needed their own circuit. The house is older and didn’t have dedicated outlets for appliances. We had a large electrical company come out to provide a quote (they charged $ 99 for the quote) and we thought their quote was ridiculously high. I called AAA Calvert a week before Christmas and they were able to fit someone in to provide a quote the next day (the quote was free).
They were very friendly on the phone (Laurie and Leonna) and the electrician (TJ) that came out for the quote was thorough, honest, and friendly. The quote was half of what we were quoted from the other company. Even though it was a busy time, they were able to come out and complete the work two days before Christmas. They were very understanding of our situation and knew we needed working appliances soon.
The two electricians that came out to do the work were on time, friendly, and did a great job. This is definitely our go-​to place for electricians, heating, and AC! Thank you AAA Calvert!
