Business Owner

Dr Robert Feinfield, a diplomat of the American Board of Opthamology, is known for his expertise in cosmetic and reconstructive eyelid surgery, approaching plastic surgery of the eyelids from both an aesthetic/​artistic as well as functional point of view. His interest in plastic surgery of the eyelids began during his ophthalmology residency at the LSU/​Ochsner Eye Center in New Orleans. He continued his specialty training at the Manhattan Eye and Ear Hopital in New York, working with international leaders in the field of oculoplastic surgery. He is one of the original investigators in the use of BOTOX for spastic facial syndromes and is now widely recognized for his skill in the use of BOTOX Cosmetic and facial fillers such as Restylane. He graduated with honors from the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine and currently serves as Expert Reviewer for the Medical Board of CA. He is Chairman of Ophthalmology at St. Joseph Medical center in Burbank, CA.

Doctors and nurses all seemed more than capable and up to par for the procedure I had done. Which was having scar tissue scraped from my eye. Very painful. Was given nothing for the pain, which was almost as bad as natural childbirth believe it or not. My concern is with the front office. The cluster of women who run it are incapable of common decency. On 2 separate days, I watched them yell and degrade 3 different patients. One elderly man was In tears when they were done with him. Absolutely unprofessional personnel. One even had her small child running around in there for over an hour. They cackle, gossip and shriek like its high school. Absolutely disgusting behavior for a professional setting. Actually disgusting For ANY setting.

He is a wonderful surgeon. I referred multiple people here and all have had good results. I have a very high prescription myself so I don’t quality. I wish I did, and if I did, I would definitely get my lasik gone here.

DO NOT BELIEVE ANY OF THE POSITIVES ON HERE. He’s a short miserable doctor that spends no time with his patients. Doesn’t listen or give quality care. Today was the last time I will ever go back to him. I tried to have patience with him, giving him the benefit of the doubt but no he’s really terrible and has no beside manner.

My elderly father needed to have his eyes checked, and we were lucky enough to have Dr. Feinfield recommended to us. Because Dr. Feinfield came so enthusiastically recommended, our expectations were quite high. Well, Dr. Feinfield and his office staff exceeded our high expectations. Dr. Feinfield performed cataract surgery on my father, and the results have been wonderful. The procedure went very smoothly, and the post-​operative healing has been great. Dr. Feinfield is warm and gracious and caring, and the members of his office staff are equally pleasant and helpful. My family and I are very grateful for Dr. Feinfield’s care and kindness, and for the care and kindness of his office staff.

Berg Feinfield – what a factory. Gazillions of people pass through here each day. I don’t see why it’s so popular. I injured my eye after a fall, and it wasn’t the same for months after. So, I went to see Dr. Feinfield. After a long wait, Dr. Feinfield looked at it for about 5 seconds, said «It’s fine», and took off while I was in the middle of asking about something else. Lousy doctor.

Not only is Dr. Feinfield an amazing doctor, but he is a radio personality as well! I really enjoyed his show, July 6th on KCSN-​FM. For 2 hours he interviewed and played music with the great drummer, Jim Keltner. The interview was personable, enjoyable and informative. I hope to listen to Dr. Feinfield interviewing many fascinating personalities!

Wow, this short little doctor with bad breath was impressively terrible! He had me wait 1 hour and 45 minutes, and then he spent about 2 minutes with me. He told me he couldn’t see any of the problems with my eyes that I was complaining about, and when I tried to ask him follow-​up questions, he told me I was welcome to get a second opinion.
He was really bad and extremely rude! I can’t believe this guy hasn’t been sued. He did not listen to me, he ignored my problems and acted as if I was from another planet, and he generally made me feel uncomfortable and rushed. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS DOCTOR!!!
UPDATE: I saw another eye doctor who diagnosed me with blocked tear ducts. So it turns out that I did have an eye condition that requires medical attention and a prescription, and Dr. Feinfield was not competent enough to diagnose it for me.

I unfortunately had a bit of an eye emergency on a Sunday on a holiday weekend and Dr. Feinfeld was the doctor on call. He returned my call right away and I was able to meet him at the office shortly after.
He never once made me feel like I was a bother for bugging him on his time off and he demeanor in general just put me at ease. I didn’t feel rushed and was able to ask him all of my questions. He is not my usual doctor (I have only seen Dr. Yates once before) but I will gladly return to him again (but hopefully not too soon! ;-)).

I developed an infected cornea and having just moved here from New Jersey had to find an ophthalmologist for treatment. Since I was staying in Burbank I found Dr. Feinfield. I have to say I was treated in the most caring, courteous and professional manner by Dr. Feinfield and his staff. I was always advised to «come right back in» if things didn’t feel right or if I didn’t feel things we’re progressing well. Wait times were always short and the staff would always work with you on setting appointments.
I can tell you that as of today I am symptom free and feeling great. Thank you Dr. Feinfield!

I have been seeing (literally) Dr. Feinfeld for more years than I can recall. I only trust my eye healrh to him. He is the best eye doctor around. He is so knowledgeable, caring, thorough and the office staff are always supportive and kind. I feel so lucky that I have him in my life. I found it quite odd to read reviews of the contrary. I have found his services to be cosistant for so many years that I believe those reviews were meant for some other doctor and are there in err.
Dr Feindeld is a doctor worth keeping and trusting in. I do and all of his many loyal patients will agree. I have even had many people recommend him to me but he already was my doctor. You will be happy you went to him.

I was surprised to read less than stellar reviews about Dr. Feinfeild. I just went in on Monday to consult about a chalazion I’ve had on my upper eyelid for a very long time. I was hesitant to even see a dr., as the horror stories I read on the internet about having these things removed were not encouraging.
Dr. Feinfield was very clear about the options; he was very honest and straightforward, not pushing the minor surgery to take it off, saying if it didn’t bother me it could stay with no problem. I opted to have it removed right then and there, and it was quick and relatively painless. I wanted to wait to write my review after it was totally healed, so I could be sure it all worked out great, and it did.
I highly recommend him to anyone, and would go back to him myself.

I strongly discourage anybody from going to Dr. Feinfield. I am currently getting prepared to mail a letter to his offices, and possibly my insurance company, lawyer, and other doctor websites to advise others that Dr. Feinfield seems to have scammed me. I went to him originally for what I was certain was dry eye. I was on Accutane three times (which is known to cause Dry eye) and my grandmother, mother, and sister all have dry eye. He kept dismissing what I said and having me come back again and again for more appointments. He prescribed to me allergy medications, anti-​inflammatory drugs (all of which were very expensive and had no generic for), and had me followup again. Each time I followed up with him he gave me more and more tests. I kept telling him I thought it was dry eye. Ffinally I got so fed up I called his offices and requested I just get a prescription for Restasis called in to my pharmacy for me (as recommended by my family members). I got my drops, finally, after 5 months and my dry eye is 100% better!!! Dr. Feinfield seems to be using people for insurance fraud. I think he is putting people through these various tests because he gets paid a pretty penny for each little test he submits to the insurance companies.

Found Dr. Feinfeld on the internet, his office is close and we were able to get an appointment. Went in because my daughter’s eyes were inflamed. We had a similar experience, as the other reviewer, he did not listen, was arrogant and dismissive. He prescribed drops that seemed to make the condition worse. He was argumentative and rude. I caution anyone who might be considering using his services.

Found Dr. Feinfield through my insurance. Went in because I was experiencing some contact lens-​related pain. As soon as I told him my eyes were itchy, he wrote it off as seasonal allergies. I didn’t feel like I was really heard, and the drops he gave me didn’t seem to help. A few days later I was able to go back home to my usual doctor, and it actually WAS a bigger problem. Now I feel justified– if something feels wrong, get a second opinion!
