Well the jury is out. I had mono vision surgery done… My reading Eye is great but my distance eye is very blurry! There was a lot of pain associated with the procedure on my left eye… And this is unusual. Went in for my appointment today I was told everything is going as scheduled. I will return in a month and update my review. Not feeling positive with the results on my left eye!

I CAN SEE!!! Thank you Dr. Berg! He did my PRK surgery in March and I am very happy with the results. He and his finance staff are very sweet and answered my numerous questions and concerns in depth. I even called back throughout the first week after my consultation with more questions and they were more than happy to get back to me. Dr. Berg then walked me through my surgery and recovery process so that I would know exactly what to expect. He even warned me that my sight would still be evolving for the first three months after my surgery and that I should not grow concerned if it was a bit strained in the beginning. He was right. Three months after my surgery I now stabilized to ²⁰⁄₂₀ vision. I did read some of the comments regarding the reception staff being rude and I personally did not experience that. It wasn’t like they were a concierge desk or anything but they did remain professional at all times. I’m very pleased with my results and would refer Dr. Berg to family and friends.

I got my eyes done by TLC Laser Eye Center around 2005. I paid for the ‘free upgrade’ if my vision changed.
Well, they «lost» my records after the office I went to closed/​moved. So guess what? No free upgrade. Instead, just stole my money and gave me the run around. I called at least three different places trying to get someone to help me.
I saw Dr. Berg, he pretty much laughed at me for even coming in to get my eyes checked. Uhm, my vision CHANGED. I woke up one day and everything was blurry. So… not cool to make fun of me just because my vision isn’t ‘horrible’. I paid thousands of dollars to have it fixed and it’s not fixed any more.
Terrible. DO NOT GO DO NOT GIVE THESE PEOPLE YOUR MONEY.

My life is ruined thanks to lasik and to Dr. Berg. I had intralase wavefront lasik 3 months ago and at first had some vision disturbances that Dr. Berg first said would go away after a few weeks, then after a few months… well, I am now 3 months post op and have horrible night vision, starbursts, halos, bad peripheral vision, loss of crisp vision and to top it off, I now have tons of floaters in both eyes. Dr. Berg assured me that I am a «perfect candidate» when I went in for a consultation. BEWARE!!! Everyone is a perfect candidate if they have the money for surgery. I am now depressed, constantly tearful, and sometimes thinking about suicide. Do not get lasik, from ANY doctor, it’s not worth it. I’m only 30 years old and did not have a high prescription, and I have large pupils. Looking around online, it seems like it’s the large pupils that caused this (I wish I knew before). Someone that has been doing this procedure this long should know that pupil size does matter and doing the procedure on someone with large pupils is a life wrecker.

6 months in! So far so good. Vision is better than perfect now, with a little night time halos still but your brain just kinda just stops noticing them.
There’s just one thing I wish they had warned me about. They say it’s painless, and they do numb your eye. BUT there is this thing they do during the procedure where everything goes black and you feel intense pressure, and that shit hurts like a bitch. And your eyes are clamped open, and you’re high on valium, so I had a minor freakout, which MAY have been averted if I had been warned and mentally prepared.
But with that being said, my vision is slammin so A+ to Dr. Berg. Thx.

I had the privilege to have lassie surgery here last August and I must say I thought it was fast easy and they made me feel really comfortable. When your dealing with an important sense, your eyes, you need compassion, patience, and clarity of the process and I think that Dr. Berg and his staff did this 100%. I was nervous, as sight is important in my field, and being able to be more knowledgable of what is going on while in the surgery and the atmosphere helped ease that along. I would highly recommend them for lasik surgery. As of now I am completely satisfied with my ²⁰⁄₂₀ vision and the fact that I don’t need to wake up and put in my vision anymore, its just instant visibility. Thank you Dr. Berg and the staff here at the Sherman Oaks office.

I had an eye exam and consultation here, which was all free. From the moment I arrived to the moment I left I knew I was in a place I felt comfortable. They are fast, professional and a true cohesive team. Dr Berg has a great reputation and was extremely pleasant. The whole staff did a great job explaining everything and I’m excited to book my surgery with them next month. I will update the review afterwards as well but I’m confident everything will go great!

Wow! I had the best experience at TLC. When I first went in for my consultation I was obviously very nervous, but Dr. Berg and Kelly made me feel much better about the Lasik procedure. Kelly explained everything in detail which eased my nerves. On the day of my surgery I was really nervous but the nurse who prepped me explained that I would be talked through the whole procedure. She was right Dr. Berg talked me through the whole thing, which made it a lot better. The actual procedure was very quick and once I sat up I was able to see. Overall I would highly recommend TLC and Dr. Berg.

From the moment I got there, I knew this was gonna be a great experience! From the office staff to Dr. Berg, everyone was polite, friendly, patient and answered any and all questions no matter how strange or routine. I absolutely have nothing but positive things to say about my experience here. Just had my LASIK yesterday and the results are quite simply amazing. Turns out everyone I know who had LASIK has gone here as well. Can’t say enough about how great this place is! My only regret is I didn’t do this sooner. Thank you to Dr. Berg and staff!!!

I had the quite unpleasant experience of meeting Dr. Berg this afternoon, and I have never met such a heartless man in the medical community. My eyes are pretty far gone due to a childhood injury, and I knew this was going to pose a problem when it comes to LASIK, but I went in to see if I was a candidate, and if not for Laser eye surgery, then some other form of corrective procedure. He told me I had ‘some long word that starts with a K’ I couldn’t write it down because everytime I asked him to repeat it, he just went faster. Once I got a good sense of the word, he wouldn’t tell me what it meant, if it was a disease, or a condition, total arrogance. He then proceeded to tell me there was nothing ‘we’ could do for my vision. I asked, ‘by we do you mean your facility or the medical field in general’? We went back and forth for a bit till I finally said, ‘You have a shitty bedside manner, and I’m leaving’. He said ‘Okay,’ and didn’t offer anything after that. Dr. Berg if you’re reading this, You Are A Bully and I hope you treat others better than you made me feel today — you should be ashamed of yourself.

Amazing! I’m not sure if anyone has ever been more excited to get eye surgery, but after 20 years of contacts & 25 years of glasses… it was time! I had no pain & could see perfectly as soon as surgery was over. It’s been 6 months & I have better than ²⁰⁄₂₀ vision! I recommend Dr Berg to everyone!

Dr. Berg and his staff extended excelent service to me from my initial visit to my lastfollow up appointment. Included in my inital assessment, I was provided detailed information about the procedure and what to expect. Upon meeting Dr. Berg, I felt very comfortable with him. He made sure to take the time to answer any questions I had. During my procedure he calmly spoke to me and gave me words of encouragement. I appreciated his kind words and felt very confident in his expert care.

Dr. Berg and his staff are amazing! From the time I set up my consultation to the day of my LASIK eye surgery, everyone was super professional and just made the entire process easier. The reason why I decided to go with Dr. Berg: 1) experience (he’s done over 10,000 procedures and was one of the first doctors to try and get the whole LASIK process FDA approved) –that was taken from his website :) so he must be amazing 2) staff was super friendly and office was nice, clean and organized 3) price was very reasonable. The way I see it, these are your eyes we’re talking about, you want to see someone who’s done this enough times to feel comfortable with. And the entire time you’re getting the procedure done, Dr. Berg talks you through it making sure you’re as comfortable and relaxed as can be. I definitely recommend Dr. Berg to anyone interested in getting LASIK. Check out his website for more info about him. The more research you’ve done, the better, and don’t forget to ask lots of questions… These are your eyes we’re taking about!

Great follow up care (I had PRK surgery).

After wearing glasses and soft contact lenses for almost 15 years, I finally got the courage to do some research for the most recommended and experienced LASIK surgeons in town. Two of my friends had their LASIK procedure done by Dr. Berg and are very happy with the results, also, two of my favorite Optometrist Centers refer their patients to Dr. Berg. So, I was comfortable enough to schedule a complementary consultation to meet Dr. Berg and to find out that I was a good candidate for LASIK.
I scheduled an appointment for the LASIK procedure for 11:30 am. I got there at 11:00 am and was out by 12:15 pm. The paperwork and prepping takes more than the procedure itself. My wife drove me home, I took some Valium and woke up with clear vision by 6:00 pm that same day. I went in the next morning for a standard follow-​up examination and I had ²⁰⁄₂₀. I know it sounds too good to be true, but this is the real deal. I highly recommend Dr. Berg for your LASIK procedure.
Side Note: TCL accepts Care Credit (a personal line of credit for healthcare treatments and procedures) so I can pay for my LASIK in 24 months without interest. Can’t get any better than that!

I had my surgery back in August and now I figure it is a good time to give my review of the TLC Eye Center.
If I had to describe TLC and Dr. Berg in one word I would say «Comfort». Please keep in mind that I am the type of guy that couldn’t stand things being near my eyes.
After talking to my local optometrist they recommended TLC and after doing some research and coming to grips with the price I decided to get it done.
The first step was going in for the exam in Pasadena. No problems there, my eyes were checked out and they were able to make my surgery appointment that same week
The day of the surgery comes and I had a mixture of nervousness and joy. Because I knew that after today my life would change forever. The entire staff was superb and Dr. Berg makes you feel extremely comfortable.
The surgery itself was harmless. I didn’t feel any pain, but definite discomfort. Clamps on your eyeballs and being blind for a short while is not comfortable.
However, the amazing part is when you get that first glimpse of perfect vision while the surgery is going on. Imagine everything being blurry and then all of sudden you see things in extreme detail. I was excited when this happened, but it was short lived since you feel extremely tired when the surgery is over.
After the surgery you may start to freak out because even though your vision is good it will not be perfect. Remember your eyes have just gone through surgery so you MUST give it a couple of weeks for it to all even out. The drops were a lifesaver during this time and don’t worry about the halos at night after a month they go away.
I am not sure what else to say, but don’t worry too much about the price. The experience by the doctor and the surgery is worth it at the end. Thank you Dr. Berg

Please excuse the lengthy review but I know from experience that when it comes to having surgery on your eyes, you want details, details, details! :)
To anyone out there thinking about having LASIK done and wondering if Dr. Berg is the right ophthalmologist for the job– let me tell you EMPHATICALLY that he is. From the first time I stepped into his office (about a month ago) to today, 3 days after my LASIK surgery, I felt well taken care of and completely comfortable leaving something as important as my vision in his hands. (I had horrible astigmatism and was as blind as a one-​eyed bat without contacts on, so I knew I needed a good doctor like Dr. Berg and not some schiesty chop-​shop of an eye center that advertised $ 1k for each eye.)
They tested my eyes to make sure I was a good candidate for laser eye surgery, so I was there twice before the day of the surgery. The waiting room was only crowded once, out of the 4 times I’ve been there, and the other times there were only a handful of patients waiting. The staff is the sweetest and were always helpful and reassuring. Also, they’re accommodating when it comes to prices and they try to help you out. I knew about a promotion they were having on Unilocal but they told me that there was an even better promotion and gave me the lower price.
The surgery itself actually only took about 10 minutes (but you’re there longer so that they can prep you properly). There was no pain– maybe a little minor discomfort for like 2 minutes but, during the entire procedure, I could hear Dr. Berg’s voice reassuring me. They told me exactly what to expect during the operation and gave me detailed verbal and written instructions for post-​surgery care. On the day of my surgery, there were about 7 other patients in the waiting room with LASIK scheduled, but Dr. Berg made me feel like I was his only patient and put me at ease (I was really nervous when I came in that day.) In the operating room, I was even given a blanket and an ergonomic pillow under my knees, which just goes to show you how they go out of their way to make you feel comfortable during what would normally be a terrifying event (for me, anyway).
After the surgery, they gave me a few pills to help me sleep for the rest of the day and the next morning I woke up and I felt like a kid on Christmas– «I CAN SEE, I CAN SEEEE!!!» and I went back to Dr. Berg for a check-​up later that morning and was told that I now had ²⁰⁄₂₀ vision! (Which is amazing, by the way, considering how bad my astigmatism was… Dr. Berg even joked that if he can fix my eyes, he can fix anybody’s!)
So, there you have it. I am so happy that I decided to get my surgery done by Dr. Berg and I definitely recommend him to anyone who is looking for a very professional yet warm LASIK doctor.

Dr. Berg and his staff did a great job. They were professional and friendly and I felt like I was definitely in good hands. I thought to myself, «why didn’t I get LASIK a long time ago?». I started this review right after I got my iLASIK. More than a year later, I found this unfinished and unposted review in my profile. I still feel exactly the same way and I am happy with the results.

I had IntraLasik on Friday 2÷25÷11 and the results are awesome!!! I totally recommend the procedure for anyone who has been wearing glassess and contact lenses for over a decade. I have to admit the hours of anticipation before the procedure were nerve racking. But Dr. Berg and his staff made the surgery such a great & pleasant experience. Everyone was very caring! I did my research for several months and shopped around just for the perfect doctor– I’m glad I chose Dr. Berg.

I went here after experiencing a few disasters elsewhere. And Dr. Lee was the first person to properly diagnose my eye allergy, because she was the first person to actually take the time to perform a proper eye exam.
I ordered my contacts here as well. And because they take VSP, they really worked with my insurance and helped me figure out what my best options were price-​wise.
The professionalism of this office is unparalled. They didn’t slap me with any unecessary tests and they didn’t prescribe any crazy eye drops or medications. I felt like I was in good hands, and for the first time, like I didn’t need to watch my back.
