We sat here to watch a game at the outside tables and it was a blast! Our server was very busy however he was a great guy, very friendly and checked up on us regularly. You get an $ 18 food & drink credit per ticket when you sit here which is nice. I went for broke and got a «Salty Irishman», which is a generous big scoop of salted caramel ice cream and a big Irish Death porter to pour over it. What a great idea! All of their 22 oz bombers are $ 12, which is one of the better beer prices in the stadium, especially if you prefer the special brews. The dirty fries were good, a little messy though and require a fork if you want to make sure your toppings and fries stay together. The bread pudding for dessert was excellent as well and big enough for sharing. All in all one of the best game experiences I have had(even though the Mariners lost!) and we’ll definitely do this again!

Nice restaurant to hit before the game. Food was fair. Gumbo lacked spice, but the Dirty Fries were pretty good. If you’re already coming to the game you might as well have a bite at the stadium.

Great location. Excellent service. Spendy food, but that’s to be expected. I had the bacon burger with egg and it was very good.

Food keeps getting more and more MEDIOCRE… Fish and Chips? Fish was lukewarm, the breading was BLAND, chips tasted like yesterday’s — overdone, chewy and cold… Same for the Burgers… Asked to sub in Jicama coleslaw and was told both choices were the same… So where was the Jicama hiding? NONE to be found in a lackluster side dish… The Pizza was passable, but also lukewarm… Better to eat OUTSIDE than be overcharged for such uninspired and poorly prepared options… Surely they could do better…

I come to three or four M’s games a month and had never been to Hit it Here before. I brought a friend from out of town who had never been to a ballgame before and wanted to grab a bite and watch a bit of the game from that perspective. Our waiter stopped by to check on us and then forgot about us for the next 25 minutes — twice coming by to say«haven’t I taken your order yet? I’ll be right back,» and then forgot us again. Then we were encouraged to get the«special» Cajun salmon salad, which I did. The salad took forever and was simply terrible — wilted and rotten lettuce and an overcooked and cold slab of salmon. This is what took so long to get? When we told our waiter how lousy the food was he looked at us and said«I’m really sorry,» but no offer to take it off the bill, complimentary beverage, nothing. Then, when we asked for the check, he forgot about us AGAIN, and AGAIN stopped by to check on us and AGAIN said,“I haven’t brought that to you yet?” Needless to say, I will never come back to Hit it Here, and I’m so disappointed that my friend’s first experience at the ballpark was tainted this way.

Poor Service. Took 15 mins. to serve a beer with a near empty restaurant. That should have been hint #1. what we were in for. Food was pricey but expected. But the quality was horrible. Your better off just hitting up one of the food stands. Seriously not good.

It had been years since I sat in the Hit it here Café at Safeco. I was pleasantly surprised. The service was very good to excellent. We both ordered the Fish and Chips and it was one of the best Fish and Chips I’ve ever had. The cost wasn’t over inflated either! We’ll definitely be back!

Before the season started, there was a lot of hype about all of the new menu options at Safeco Field this year. In one place I read, it stated most of the new meal items would be in the Hit it Here Café and that they would have a pretty expansive menu of upscale options. My friend Ron M. and I went to the Café over the weekend in hopes of trying some of these more upscale menu items. However, when we arrived, there was really nothing too different on the menu than items found in other areas of the park. There were burgers, dogs, various flatbreads(a few only found there, but some of them were easily available in other areas of the park), etc. There were some appetizers and salads not found elsewhere, but nothing really excited our taste buds too much. We started out with the Clam Dip, which was… a bit odd. It was very thin, almost like a clam chowder, and had hardly any chunks of clam or anything else, really. It was pretty sub-par. For entrees, I went with the Calabrian flatbread and Ron had the BBQ chicken. The BBQ chicken was far better, but neither were particularly great. The dough was too thick to be a flatbread, in my opinion, and both pizzas were quite oily. My pizza had little-to-no flavor. The only thing really worth writing home about was the lemonade, which was super tasty and flavorful. Overall, I was pretty disappointed. Service was really friendly, but fairly slow at the end. Our food came out quickly, but trying to get our check and leave took a bit longer than necessary. Prices are quite high, especially for the quality of the food. I can’t finish this review without mentioning the view, however, which is obviously outstanding. It’s probably what bumps this review up to a 3. Overall, I highly doubt I will be back. There are other places in the park with better, cheaper food(and equally outstanding views).

Ate at Hit It Here last night. This being my second visit, not as good as the first. The server was super warm and friendly, but you could tell he was either slammed or scatter brained. Loved the dirty fries. Banana peppers and thick chunks of bacon with parm cheese and garlic powder. Very tasty. I ordered the seafood gumbo. Don’t order the seafood gumbo! It was slimy and the shrimp, sausage, and okra were mushy. It was like eating baby food. I miss their old menu where I was able to order a bucket of cocktail shrimp. I should have ordered the nachos or anything else. BEWARETHEGUMBO!

Last night was date night — and my first Mariners game — and wanted to go to a sit down restaurant in Safeco for dinner. There may have been other options(?), but we chose«Hit it Here». We got to the restaurant around 5pm — after getting our free Seager bobbleheads of course — and it wasn’t too busy yet. The hostess sat us on the third tier of seats that had a great view of the field(though not seat has a bad view aside from the tables on the landing, near the kitchen).. A male server/busser brought waters right away, and our actual server came shortly after to take our drink and meal order. The timing of order taking was fine, if a bit slow, but by being a bit slow we could order drinks & food all at once. My husband ordered the breakfast burger with fries, and I a bowl of the gumbo($ 8) with a side of fries. His burger came on a fresh local brioche bun, and the meat patty is grass fed beef(such a nice option!) with cheese, bacon, and a sunny side up fried egg. For $ 15 the price seemed reasonable and on par with non-ballpark restaurants, especially in Seattle. He loved the burger. The bowl of gumbo looked hearty, but unfortunately my first bite was barely microwave temperature warm. I did have to send it back because of this, but the fresh(or maybe re-microwaved) bowl came piping hot. A couple of big prawns, some small langostinos and a couple of slices of Andouille sausage was in the brown sauce with white rice, okra and some seasonings. I personally found the gumbo pretty bland, and gumbo shouldn’t be bland. Luckily, a bottle of tabasco was on the table and I doused my gumbo with it — much better after that addition. The side of fries came in a cute«mini» deep fryer basket, and at $ 4.50, didn’t seem outrageously pricey to me. They were not salted, which was nice so I could control the salt I put on them. Service was definitely not amazing, but it wasn’t terrible either. Obviously things got busier as more people came to the stadium and to the restaurant for dinner. Service was never lacking(always someone nearby to help or serve your drinks/meal), but it wasn’t attentive either. That said, issues that arose were immediately addressed without issue. My hubby finished his meal with dessert — a warmed chocolate chip cookie with a scoop of vanilla bean icecream. Seemed pricey at $ 8 when in comparison to the $ 8 bowl of gumbo, but whatever. Good selection of local beers, my hubby had a bottle of Kilt Lifter($ 12) and I a refillable diet pepsi($ 5). Tip: they serve their sodas in a plastic cups w/o lids. Ask for a refill and a lid before you leave the restaurant and you can save yourself from buying another beverage later in the evening! I would definitely be back!

If my boyfriend could attend every Mariners game, he would. We loved this place! Perfect seating at the ball park. Tickets are only $ 55 with an $ 18 food/alcohol credit. How can you beat that?! Plus you don’t wait in lines since you have a server! Food was delicious. View was perfect. Service was friendly and on point. We will definitely be back again and again.

When my boyfriend suggested the Hit it Here Café while at the Mariners game, I wasn’t convinced on trying it. I thought, «We are at a baseball game! We should be getting stadium food, not sitting at a restaurant!» It’s a lot smaller than I thought. The rows of seats are staggered from the window, with the first few rows being for customers with actual game tickets in that seat. We were seated in the first row of tables on the lower level, behind those ticket holder seats. Big glass windows make it easy to watch the game — unless the sun is setting(like it was) and the glare is so bad you find yourself just watching the game on one of the TV’s. I didn’t even watch the first 3 innings of the game while we were in there. Too hard to see out the window with the sun, and trying to carry on a conversation while watching a game on TV and trying to eat isn’t as easy as it sounds. The service was okay. She was slow, kinda seemed like she was new. Didn’t really interact with us much, but that is okay — she was very friendly. She was able to get our order in quickly and correctly, and made sure to check on us as needed with refills on drinks. The food was pretty good. Burgers are not made to order, all come cooked well done. I got the Hit It Here Burger($ 14). It was big, the vegetables were fresh, and it just looked delicious. Came with a hearty amount of fries with it as well. The only complaint I had was that it was really dry as it was pretty well done, and there was no sauce of any kind on the burger. I added some BBQ sauce though and that seemed to help a little. My boyfriend got the Bacon & Egg Burger($ 15) and said it was great as well, and very filling. Honestly, I probably won’t come back. If I am going to a game, I am going for the baseball experience — hot dogs, garlic fries, beer, and to be able to actually watch the game.

My boyfriend and I went to the Hit it Here Café during a game for our anniversary and we were not very pleased with our service. Our waitress was very attentive when we first got there but when it started getting busy, she didn’t even come check on us. The only thing we got to order was an appetizer(which was delicious) but we wanted a full meal. We had a voutur and everything and that made it seem like they didn’t want to serve us. By the 5th inning we were starving and left to get food from one of the stands. I would not recommend going here, we will definitely never go back when we attend our next Mariners game.

My parents brought me to a Mariners game for my birthday one year and they got us seats at the Hit It Here Café. We had a fantastic time! The food was the delicious and the seats were pretty awesome! Sweet view. I had a burger, fries, and some fruity drink that I can’t remember exactly what it was. Delicious though! I guess my parents had told them that we were celebrating my birthday and our server made it extra special for us. It was a great time. It’s too bad we don’t live in Washington anymore because this is something we probably would have loved to have done more often. For special occasions anyway. I’d highly recommend it, especially if it’s your first time attending a Mariner’s game, it’d be a great experience.

We did not have reservations but arrived 1 hour prior to game time. We were seated within 20 minutes but had to wait as long for service once seated, we had to request service from a passing server. The food was mediocre at best. Best value — club seats and order at your seat.

I really enjoyed my first experience with the hit it here café! Everything on the menu sounded amazing and looked amazing! We got the biggest thing of nachos I have ever seen! Two of us couldn’t finish them! Loved all the toppings(did not skimp). Also got the wings, great heat and cooked perfect. Just wished they were crispier. The beer and alcohol selection is way better then the rest of the park. We sat outside which was super nice. Except you are blinded by the sun till it goes under the stadium. But hey it was a sunny day can’t complain about sun! Service was good. Plan to come back to try the other items! Also get $ 18 food credit with your ticket!

What happens when bad food also includes an unpleasant trip to the bathroom 2 hours after the game? You drop from three to two stars. We had never been to a Mariner’s game before and thought it would be great if our ticket included money for food. Enter Hit it Here Café and Terrace. Our ticket included $ 16 in food, which would have been a great idea if the food had been better. The Pros: They have 16 oz cans of beers for $ 5. They also have fountain drinks for $ 5, which includes free refills(yay!). I found the service to be pretty good, especially for all of the people our server was expected to attend to. They also offer a lot of different foods from garlic fries to sushi. The Cons: We went in the evening so the sun was beating down on us the first 3 innings. Most of the tables at the café are out in the blazing, hot sun so I got pretty red. More importantly, though, the food IMO was not good. We ordered 2 pretzels, a burger, and some of their«dirty» fries(along with a Rainier beer and a diet Pepsi). The pretzels were tough to chew and came with peanut butter sauce and cheese(a weird combination). The burger was okay. A little tough in my opinion, but hot and ultimately edible. The serving of fries was huge, but tasted only OK. Plus, it came with WAY too many banana peppers. The cherry on top of this sundae was that my husband got violently ill a few hours after the game. I was lucky that I did not get sick, but I think this was due to the fact that my husband ate 80% of our food. In sum, this place is great if you want to get some drinks, but I would avoid the food(at least the food we tried).

Ya know, this wasn’t half-bad. For my first Safeco experience, I opted for the Hit It Here seats, because, let’s face it, the seats are decent — and — they come with an $ 18 food credit. And — they are indeed pretty good seats — I was in the second row, and could still see everything without obstruction. I saw some prior reviews here about service, so I didn’t go in with ridiculously high expectations — but — I have to say, my server went above and beyond. I’ve never been a fan of servers who instantly try to become your best friend — but at the same time — the gal I had was polite, talkative, and heck, asked me my name(and remembered it throughout the game). As for food — ya know, you kind of expect the food to be a little pricey, because heck, it’s an MLB game. For the $ 18 credit, I was able to grab an order of fish and chips and a soda — the quality was really good, but the portion size was small(not obnoxiously so, but to the point where you could tell it was specialty). Opted for a «palate cleanser» of the mac and cheese, and same deal. I also know some folks felt a little detached from the ballpark experience, and I can totally see that. It’s a little TOO isolated from the rest of the stadium, but at the same time, not bad at all. Not sure if I’d sit here again, but no regrets about trying it out at all.

Watched a few games here and think its a great way to watch the games. I buy mine in advance and sit in the front row bench and you get a great view of the field. We had a home run hit into the restaurant too so that was cool. Food is good. And you get a 18 $food voucher with purchase of game ticket so that’s nice
