Called several times over the last few days, trying to place lunch orders to-go. Nobody ever answers, and their«mailbox is full» so they don’t even allow you to leave a message. I’m done trying. Go here if you enjoy being ignored.

The bar tenders here are the nicest humans alive. My friend and I got great service before a Mariners game and they told us to come back afterwards. Because of the friendly, fast and great service we headed back after the game. Again both men bartenders were extremely friendly and had great service. The best part was I didn’t feel they were hitting on us, they were just being genuine and nice guys! Thanks for elephant ear boys.

Sports fans stay away! If you must stop in, WATCHYOURBELONGINGS. I came here with a group of friends, before and after the Mariner’s home opener. The staff tried to steal(a cell phone and a backpack) from two of my friends on two different occasions. This place preys on sports fans coming in to enjoy their favorite teams, knowing they are too familiar with their surroundings. Hawk’s Nest is a dirty dive bar that does not need any more business. Management, please read and figure it out

Stay away, unless you don’t mind your stuff being stolen by the staff. Sat my bag down for a few minutes, only to find it missing. Bartender said he hadn’t seen it so I assumed it was jacked by another customer. I spent the next 15 – 20 minutes looking for it, only to catch a bartender pulling my Lacoste sunglasses out of my bag underneath the bar. I asked him what he was doing and he said he was taking my sunglasses to the lost and found, so I asked why he was taking just my glasses and not my whole bag and he didn’t seem to have an answer for me. My buddy also lost his cell phone earlier and found it across the bar an hour later. Whether it was a coincidence or not, I don’t know. Either way, I no longer trust them.

Not one single member of the staff cared about me. They all ignored me. Between the hours of 5 and 6 pm, I walked in and the bar staff just ignored me. I even made eye contact with them. They still ignored me. Screw your staff and your establishment Is this seriously how you run a respectable establishment in downtown??? Seriously???

I love the Hawks Nest! Outstanding staff and food/drinks! I’ve been coming here regularly since it opened in 2008 and it keeps getting better. Place gets packed on Seahawks game days – standing room only, but the service and quality stay at a high level.

The Hawks Nest was exactly what I needed before being dragged into a One Direction concert next door, mostly against my will. 2 of us polished off 6 whiskey gingers for $ 36. Done and done. I imagine that this place gets crazy busy before games but it was mostly empty when we came before the concert.

I have been coming to this place for many years as a pre-Seahawk ritual before the Seahawk’s games. It is usually extremely crowded and I am just grateful to even get a drink here(It is that crowded during NFL games!). However, for the first time I stopped by here prior to a Mariners game. The place was not as crowded and I even actually got a seat at the bar(A first!). I had the most amazing Hawks burger with sweet potato fries that were to die for! There were two bartenders(I wish I could remember their names) that were exceptionally proficient. A great visit I had yesterday. This spot is a great pre-game locale for all sports(Seahawks, Mariners, Sounders). Stop by here for great prices and delicious food instead of getting gouged inside the stadiums. Cheers!

Came here to pick up some food to eat while standing in line at WaMu theater. The staff were all really nice and the food came pretty quickly. While waiting I ordered one of their specialty cocktails, the spiced orange tea. I’m not sure where the spiced part came into play but it was really good. I really like bars that have a menu with a selection of unique cocktails. I don’t drink a lot and when I do drink I want something that I can’t make myself and something that tastes good. I also can never come up with any ideas for a drink. When the food came out the server confirmed my order, supplied ketchup, plenty of napkins and asked if I needed anything else. The food was good, pretty standard pub food. I’d probably come back for a drink at the bar, before or after a game at the stadium.

Great place for pre-gaming, great staff and fun drinks. Way more than enough tv’s and awesome location to stadiums or convention center. A winner!

I was visiting Seattle to take in a Mariners’ game on a Saturday afternoon. Picked up our tickets from willcall and went looking to get some food and beer before the game. Decided on Hawk’s Nest randomly; it’s very close to Safeco Field and location matters! It’s a sports bar in the classic sense. This is not a quiet, romantic hideaway. You are here to drink beer and watch/talk sports. Beer prices are very reasonable, especially when you are used to paying the bill in Vancouver, Canada. Not the hugest selection of craft beers on tap but settled into a few pints of a variety from Mac & Jack’s; it hit the spot. Also had a tallboy can of Rainier because it’s old school! All of us ordered burgers, it’s probably the way to go. They’re made fresh and cooked to perfection and the price is right! Accompanied with waffle fries. I don’t get too excited about fries but these were fine and some people may love them. Special kudos to our server Ed! Never waited for anything and he checked up on our table frequently. Professional with a sense of humour, he was the perfect host and treated our group like we were guests in his own home(maybe he’s an owner?). His service sets the bar pretty high. One small gripe is that the bathrooms could use a bit more attention. We wandered by after the game(about 9:30pm) but it was packed, don’t expect to just stroll in after a major sporting event because there are 40,000+ sports fans with the same idea! SUMMARY Next time I’m in Seattle for a game in that area I will make sure to visit the Hawks Nest before the event. I highly recommend it to any beer-drinking sports fan in the Seattle area!

My boyfriend and I were in town for the Hawks/Rams game and stopped in for a beer. We were just going to hang downtown for the game, then we decided last minute that we wanted to go. We were able to book tickets on our phone, however, we didn’t have a way to print them. The owner Joe was awesome enough to let me use his computer in the back to print our tickets… then offered me a shot of fireball!!! On a day that was probably one of his busiest of the year, he and the rest of his staff were great!!! Reminded me of my hometown Chicago hospitality and kindness. Thanks Hawks Nest… see you at Superbowl!!!

We stopped here before a Mariners game this past Saturday. It was actually one of the cheaper bars in the area. It had some outside seating and we grabbed a few tables there since it was a nice day. The staff was really friendly and the food was reasonably priced and actually really good. We had a lot of fun here and ended up being a little late for the game!

Decent beer prices it seemed like they were in a hurry to get us out of there. Good servers but the bartenders should be replaced just not very welcoming, guess they don’t like money. There are so many bars in this area I would choose another.

Was in from out of town attending a football game at Century Link. We fell onto this place on Saturday the day before the game. We had a great time with one of the owners and he recommended if we were coming in there on game day that we get there by 9:00(the game was at 1:00) we didn’t get there at 9:00 so when we did the place was packed — but you could still move around and there is plenty of waitstaff. We managed to land a table as a group was just leaving — we each had a burger and really to my surprise it was very good. Usually in these types of places its not about the food. The food, hospitality, and service was excellent! Highly recommend for pre and post game. As a note for now they are only open when there is an event at one of the stadiums which is 200+ nights, so they are pretty much there. If you read this comment and go — tell Vinnie I said hi!

Came here to before a Husky game at Century Link and the place was great. The proximity to the stadium was fabulous and the service fairly quick given how busy it was. We got a bucket of 6 beers for under $ 20, which was pretty good. We had our own server but it was quicker to order from the bar at times. There is space for a lot of people and it didn’t feel that crowded as we were in the back right corner. There were tons of TVs but alas, they did not have the PAC-12 network, which seems to be problem at a lot of bars.

My friends and I were lucky to get a table here before Apple Cup this year. I ordered the Pita plate which was good. I give this place 3 stars though because the service was ok. Our server was decent and checked in on our beer levels often. But the food runner gave my pita plate to a large table next to me. When the server came back and I asked her about it she fixed the problem right away, but the kitchen was so busy that I still had to wait another 10 – 15 mins. Another thing that is a little bogus is they don’t do pitchers… why would you not serve pitchers??? It seems like it would be more of a convenience factor on the servers than another else.

Pretty standard sports bar but they had $ 3 beers on game day which made it a nice place to swing by before the Sounders game.

So nice since they have remodeled and so close and convenient to the stadium and theater. The wait times can usually take a bit and its usually hit or miss with the service. I find the food to be ok but the drinks usually are pretty week, do yourself a favor and order a beer.

The name may give you a clue but this place is a good option for grabbing some drinks before or after games at either of the stadiums… it’s right in between them. I’ve only been here once so far but now that I know it exists I’ll be making sure to go back the next time I go to a game. They have quite a few good beers on tap if you’re looking for something tasty and they also have a good beer bucket deal if you’re just looking to spend as little as possible… best of both worlds! I visited here before the Mariner’s home opener and despite it being really busy, our group never had a problem getting service. And that’s an important consideration when you only have so much time between getting off of work and first pitch(or kickoff, as the case may be). I haven’t tried any of their food yet but their menu had some good looking options on it for reasonable prices. I’ll make sure to update my review once I have a chance to sample some of their edibles.

I’ve been ending up here a lot lately before games at Qwest or Safeco — and this is no coincidence. They have more than just the normal bud/bud light/coors/coors light/etc line of beers. You can find some good local beers that would be hard to find at other like minded sports bars. Also, when it gets really crowded(around an hour before game time) it is still very easy to get a drink quick. I haven’t had much food here, but the stuff i did was decent respectable pub fare. Check this place out before any game in SODO.

Fun place to hang out before a Seattle sporting event! I came here for the Sounders’ game opener this year, and had a lot of fun. Great atmosphere, good bar food, and great service. I ordered the Ranch BBQ bacon burger — yumm! Couldn’t taste much of the BBQ, but it was an overall good burger. My boyfriend ordered the club, but it wasn’t anything too special, and we ordered the nachos to share. Obviously, this is a sports bar, so don’t expect blow-your-mind kind of food, but the establishment, itself, was fun. We were able to take our time and watch the Huskies’ game before heading off to the match and the other fans were cool to hang out with. There’s nothing like sports to bring people together. I thoroughly enjoyed myself.
