Nice long narrow sports bar. Although no AB beers. Typical pub grub, wings were nice and crispy served with red hot sauce.

Love it! Our favorite place on the way to games… watching men’s lax, hockey and the Cubs all at the same time!

Gets very full before and after any home games, but it’s a lot of fun to pre funk at. Great service as well as staff. The drinks are strong and always served quickly. Favorite special is the $ 7 tall cans on games days. Bartenders are very friendly and great at remembering frequent customers. Best place to go if you’re in the pioneer square area or going to a Seattle home game!

This is one of my favorite sports bars on the entire planet. Loaded with tons of memorabilia from all things Seattle sports. The place is one city block long, and about 30 feet wide. It’s like a a hallway full of sports mementos, so it’s cozy, raucous, and loud on game days, but oh so much fun. I have partied with Raider fans in there before a Seahawks-Raiders Monday Night tilt, in which everyone stayed composed and understood at its core that sports is just a game and should ALWAYS be fun. They have a great selection of beer and wide variety of liquor. There is a myriad of TV’s in there with everything from women’s softball to NASCAR, hoops, MLB, and the NFL playing throughout the day and night. Want to pre-func before the big Seahawks or Mariners game? This is the place to duck into and get lost in the excitement. Sluggers has never let me down, and I’ve been in an out of that place many times over the past 30 years or so. ALWAYSAWESOME!

I just had my first experience with sluggers this weekend. Let me tell you, I’ll certainly be back. I just ordered the cheese sticks and a «Bam Bam Slam» aka angry balls. The drink was strong and decently priced. The food is a little Spendy but it’s Seattle so I’m not gonna complain. The waitress was cute and sweet, the bartender was social and cool, and unlike most social bartenders in the area he wasn’t annoying whatsoever. It was during the M’s game and it wasn’t packed. I had just come from the neighbor Bar«Elysian» and I had a much better time at Sluggers. Can’t wait to come back actually. For sure recommend to bar hoppers in Seattle, or you non city-folk such as myself.

I’ve been here many times over the past 10 years. This place gets packed on game days. Great place to grab drinks if you’re waiting for the Amtrak also.

Sluggers is yet another thing in Seattle that was previously cool but now sucks. Bartenders act like they’re doing you a favor taking your order. Beer way overpriced. Food mediocre at best as always. They close the place on a whim so don’t be surprised if you arrive and it’s not open. Was a nice run Sluggers… sayonara.

Sluggers lost me Sunday. Been there dozens of times over the last 10 years before Hawks games. This Sunday was as slow as I’ve ever seen it; probably a combination of nearing Christmas and the Browns. Or maybe foreshadowing of lousy service. Should be easy to get a beer right? Wrong. Not if you’re ordering from the male bar tender in the red shirt and shorts. Instead of serving you beer, he’d rather say he’ll «be with you in a minute» and then make fun of you for being Canadian, even if you’re not Canadian, like me. Then he might engage you in conversation and then say«he’s still talking… he’s still talking… I said I’d be with you in a minute,» to try and look cool to two patrons at the front of the bar. Then if you decide you’re tired of insults and go to another bar tender, he might say«now he’s walking away,» in either a poor attempt to sound tough or be funny, both of which will wreak of failure only surmounted by his inability to open an aluminum can of beer. The female bar tender I went to on the West side of downstairs was great as she was before. The staff upstairs apologized for not bussing a table we just sat down at. I’m sorry to those employees for the 1 star, but the behavior of the middle barman downstairs was so egregious it taints the entire rating. I’ve never seen someone in the service industry behave this way, especially unprovoked. There are people who have bad days, and then there are bad people. Don’t hire or retain bad people. This guy should be fired. I’m never going back. Plenty of watering holes to pre-funk near the stadiums. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere that doesn’t hire guys like this.

Trashy and awesome are words that come to mind when thinking of sluggers. It’s a skinny bar that gets packed on game day pregaming for the game and it’s a crazy party. Drinks are all about $ 7 but if you want to turn up on the cheap get the $ 10AMF and long islands. Cool sports bar to pregame at if you are 35 and under and can get a little trashed. Very strong cocktails.

Bartender was super friendly and very accommodating. Service was fast and the food and drink prices were very reasonable for the area! Tables were clean, tons of TV’s with just about every sport imaginable playing. Had a local IPA + burger + tater tots. Typical bar menu with a decent beer lineup. Nothing in particular to complain about!

Had lunch here today, pretty fast service, good beer on tap. Food was okay. My burger tasted like it was a frozen patty then cooked. That’s fine though for a sports bar, what can you expect? Sluggers is a good stop for a quick bite to eat that isn’t too expensive. There’s always sports on and that’s good!

I prefer this place before a game over the other nearby locations. There is plenty of room. Multiple bars to help with crowds and if you’re lucky enough to find a table, there is a waitstaff that is quick and attentive. We rarely eat, just snacks if we do(Yummmy fries) the drinks aren’t overly expensive and its a chill vibe. Plus its close to everything. Sluggers is my game day favorite bar!

Super authentic American sports bar. You can enjoy the sports with several screen. Anyway the thing is we could enjoy huge dish at lunch time. Do you really care about quality when you into basketball? I love to be there.

Half sports bar half almost dive bar. Great place to go kill time before or after a game. Other than that I wouldn’t go here. I think overly intoxicated people tend to end up here more than any other bar in the area. I like the staff and the bouncers are actually decent judges at who shouldn’t be allowed in. Just not my scene.

Burgers are filling monsters. Beer prices about what you’d expect in the area. Service always is spotty even when there isn’t any game crowds. Gets hot as sin in the summer upstairs.

A crazy place to get your drink on before the big game. They fill it up on game day, but still service everybody. No problem getting a drink at all. Tried their Bloody Mary. It was very good and the canned regular beers are in 24 ounce cans. A must see if you are attending a game.

On the plus side, it’s a genuine piece of Seattle history, and it is very convenient to either one of the ballparks. You’ll see various memorabilia from«back in the day». There are a bunch of TV screens and due to the layout, several will be close to you. As an actual destination, Sluggers is not all that fabulous. Sluggers is sort of like a shed, sandwiched between two«real» buildings, and as a result it’s sort of laid out like a hallway with bar stools. I’m sure it gets packed on game days. I was here at 4:00, midweek so we were the only people there. The beer lineup is good, but the servers can’t tell you what is actually on tap. No beer list, and the tap handles are at three different locations, so you’ll need to go on a reconnaissance mission to find out what they actually have, which should be «great fun» when the place is packed. You wouldn’t think that having a tap list, or memorizing a dozen tap handles would be that tough, but apparently it is at Sluggers. One other annoyance: no happy hour on game days. Thanks guys, you’ve got a heart of gold. Or at least a pocket. The food is OK. It’s passable pub grub but the place will not be mistaken for a restaurant.

A straight forward bar that caters to the sports crowd. .. next tot he stadium! Very smart on the use of space that they barely have. Long bar for drinks and TV’s that line it with booths that face them.. . what more can one ask for from a sports bar?! The service was pretty darn prompt as the bar tender is very attentive and quick on their feet. The waitress was knowledgeable and quick but didn’t seem very friendly. Other than the annoyed type of service, it was pretty good overall. Speed and availability of beverages were impressive. I understand the atmosphere and stress level they may have due to the type of clientele of course and people are allowed to be human. The food quality was ok overall but not too bad for a sports bar like atmosphere. Fun place and great times to be had at this establishment. I would highly recommend it over the other places near by. it is a bit of a hidden gem as the front of the place seems like only a door.

This place is really skinny! But regardless, we found a table upstairs and had a pretty good time! The beer was decently affordable, and the service was great. My favorite food I tried was the fried mac and cheese. Unfortunately, the fried ravioli was served so hot, when i bit into it, the cheese squeezed out the other end onto my hand and burned my hand. That was a big issue. I’d try it again for sure if we’re over at a game, but it wasn’t anything too amazing.

Smells like piss in there, my double vodka cran was $ 9, sounds pricey to me but unsure if that’s the norm in Seattle and they have a $ 10 limit to run a debit card which the bartender was nice enough to wave on my one drink but then made a smartass comment about how I drank it so fast. Didn’t try food or anything else and my visit was about 10 min long so I don’t know if they have any positive attributes. What I experienced was mediocre(the drink was good but also just a vodka cran I can make at home.) I won’t be going back there.

Back-tracking through the drafts and bookmarks to «My First Sounders Game» day of ridiculous shenanigans and I’m compelled to write up Sluggers. When Work Husband was given tickets to a game from a client, much to the jealous dismay of the office, he brought me along. The tickets included a free buffet and free parking but we ensured a real adventure for us both by arriving early enough for bar hopping, merchandise shopping and general ‘soak up the crowd’. To be honest, I liked this place better than Elysian next door for the day. Somehow, even though they were both packed and Sluggers is smaller, this place just felt *right*, where the vibe of Elysian just… didn’t. Not for game day, at least. Despite the crowds and lines, they had more bartenders on staff than Elysian did(weird, right?) and our orders(one shot, one well drink each) were served up super quick and super strong and with a genuine smile. Sadly, again comparing, that did not happen that day next door. TVs everywhere, fans everywhere and a general vibe of camaraderie, excitement and love of SPORTSBALL really makes this place feel like the quintessential of sports bars done right. This place will be a top choice for me on game day, whether I have tickets to whatever ball is being sported about at the nearby stadiums or not.

We ended up stopping in here before a Sounders game. SOPACKED. We didn’t get any food or anything so I can’t say much about that. The atmosphere was good. They have two levels, which is nice since there isn’t much room between the bar and the wall for customers to get by. Also, pretty limited seating. The staff was friendly even though they were slammed. From what I could tell from the clientele this is where hot guys in Seattle like to congregate. For that alone I would consider coming back when it’s not packed on a game day.

Sluggers is one of THE go-to classic sports bars in the city of Seattle. Located right by both the football and baseball stadiums, this is the ideal place to have a few drinks either before or after a game. Make sure you take a look at every inch of wall space as all of it is coevered with photos, jerseys, autographs, and just about anything else related to the history of Seattle sports. Drinks are always on point, the food is pretty standard bar fare, and the service ranges in quality depending on how crowded it is. There are definitely times you may not want to brave the throngs of drunken sports enthusiasts, especially if you are wearing the other team’s colors, but overall I’ve never had a bad experience here.

Can you say PACKED?! Unless you’re here super early before a sporting event, don’t even THINK you’ll be able to get in. During the last Sounders’ game, the line was out the door — and the inside isn’t even that large to begin with. With that being said, much of going to any sporting event is the camaraderie you experience while drinking beers and eating junk food amongst fellow fans… so for that, this place is great… Just get there early!

Stopped in here after the game. it’s located right after you leave Safeco Field. The guy at the door cards you but there wasn’t a charge at the time we went. This place got noisy and crowded really quick. We had left the game kind of early before it was actually over with because we knew the outcome, but if we had gotten there any later there would have been absolutely no place to sit. We were lucky to get there just in time to get two places at the bar. It was literally packed though after the game. We met all kinds of folks and I wish I had been hungerier but I had just eaten a big hot dog at the game. I sure wanted to try the food. The liquor was flowing freely here. Was a great place to stop at but not sure I would stop in again after a game– too noisy and too crowded. I did love the atmosphere though. Seemed kind of frat partish but it was all good.
