Dr. Doppel attended the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery Dental School, University of Maryland from 1984 – 1988, graduating magna cum laude and receiving several awards and honors for clinical skills and academic excellence. She completed her graduate studies at the University of Washington Department of Orthodontics from 1988 – 1990 receiving a master’s degree with honors in orthodontics — the field of dentistry that deals with dentofacial orthopedics and correcting dental malocclusions.

Dr. Doppel’s treatment philosophy integrates state-​of-​the-​art technology with evidence-​based scientific knowledge. She diligently serves her patients with compassion, commitment to excellence, and dedication to lifelong continuing education and learning.

Dr. Doppel is the best! I had terribly crooked teeth as a child, and went to her for braces as a teenager. Her care, attentiveness, and joyful personality made the whole experience as good as it could be. Ten years later, I had my first issue with a broken permanent retainer, and was able to get right in to see her and have it fixed. Dr. Doppel and her staff were as great as ever, and I was in and out within a half hour with a great new retainer! My teeth are still straight as an adult, and I’d recommend her to anyone!

I highly recommend Dr. Doppel and her team for the exceptional treatment I have been receiving. Dr. Doppel discussed my treatment plan in my consultation detailing options to correct former orthodontic outcome … estimated time frame, and her goals to craft a functioning bite for me added with an aesthetic smile.
Great experience, precise time spent through all office visits. What I appreciate most is Dr. Doppel’s proficiency to cut through the long involved process; she delivers with the newest technology and equipment consistently. She exudes her passion with expertise nursing teeth movement, genuinely conveys 1-​on-​1 informational for questions and difficulties, and has her heart in giving me the best smile I could have.
I am seeing remarkable progress 60% into my treatment, and am confident Dr. Doppel’s commitment to her patients. I look forward to being seen by her for my continuing ortho health!

I just finished my treatment with Dr. Doppel and couldn’t be happier! I had braces as a kid, never wore my retainers, and then at 25 decided to do something about it. This time I was paying for it myself (yuck!) so I wanted to make sure I had it done right (and I swear I’ll wear my retainers this time).
Dr. Doppel did a great job on my invisalign. My teeth look absolutely great, and I’m so happy with how they came out. I was very skeptical to spend so much money on my teeth, but I couldn’t be happier that I did.
I will also say that the entire staff is very helpful. I have a crazy travel schedule, and they were so great to work with me to find appointment times that worked, give me additional invisalign trays as needed, etc. Also, this was one of the first times I had to deal with lots of insurance things and Erin was so great at helping me. My insurance also changed throughout the treatment, and she tried to help me get the maximum benefit possible, and continually communicated with me about my coverage.
If you have to go through orthodontia, this is definitely a place I would recommend to everyone!

Experience could not have been better. I was new in town and had a retainer break. This office was able to see me the same day and had a new retainer ready for me within 24 hours. The staff was super friendly, the office is beautiful, and there’s a great view of Seattle while you’re in the chair.

A couple months ago my permanent retainer fell out… uh oh. The thing was solid in there for so many years my old orthodontist died in the time between long long ago and now. No other orthodontist would get me in.
Dr. Doppel got me in, saw that my dentist had placed it, checked the placement and had me come back 6 weeks later to insure my bite wasn’t off.
I will for sure yell her names form the rooftops anyone asks for recommendations. Her staff is professional and courteous, her office is top of the line, and she is friendly and knowledgeable.

I’ve seen a couple orthodontists for retainers since my childhood orthodontist retired and I wish I’d started with Dr. Doppel.
I’d gotten my teeth whitened by a dentist back in 2011 (horrid idea, don’t do it) and they discovered flourosis on my teeth (it looks like white spots everywhere). My dentist was like «Oh, well there’s nothing we can do about it.» At my next appointment for my retainer, I mentioned the change to Dr. Doppel and she recommended a special paste for me. After a couple months, the bright white spots were practically gone. She listens to your concerns about your smile and really tries to get you the best help possible. If she refers someone to you, take her advice. I changed to Dr. Larsen at South Lake Union dentistry on her referral and have had zero problems.
I’ve had a couple retainers and mouthguards done by her office now and they’re perfect each time. She’s quick and her office is very flexible with scheduling. They have in-​house x-​ray and even videogames in the lobby if someone is waiting for you to finish. All in all, great doctor, efficient office and wonderful bedside manner.

I’ve been a patient of Dr Doppel’s since June (or July) or 2005. I was 28 at the time. They put braces on my teeth (which was the only time I’ve had braces in my life.)
The staff and the doctor are very friendly. They decided to take my braces off in Feb of 2008, but have continued to schedule me for more appointments to make sure that my teeth don’t move back to their initial compacted state. I have a feeling that they will continue to see me until we make sure that my teeth are stable in their place, and I’m extremely grateful for their level of commitment.
BTW, theymoved to the 9th floor of the building at 720 Olive Way a couple of years ago. The address on Unilocal is no longer valid.

About six years ago, I decided to have my teeth and bite ‘fixed’. After some research, I decided to visit Dr Doppel’s office. Diane discovered that I had a serious gum disease and she recommended me to see other specialists first: I had to wait over a year before she could start the orthodontic treatment. I am so glad I followed her advices. I had my braces removed two years ago and I am very happy with the results. This office is kid friendly (they offer video games in the waiting room) but most of the clientele are adults. If you are not in your teens and you need brace, this is the right place for you. The staff is nice, friendly and professional and the office is modern, clean, and efficient. If you need braces, go for a consultation: I am confident that you will choose this office!

When I found that at age 37 I needed to have braces (again!) I searched for the most professional office I could find, and I did this on my own. Guess what? I found it! Dr. Doppel’s office is staffed with professional, courteous, knowledgeable and down right nice people. The best part is that over 80% of her clientele are adults! Now that is hard to find and certainly makes it more comfortable when you are sitting in a chair next to someone your own age and not 12. This is not the least expensive office you will find, so if price is all you are after, this is not likely the place for you, however, if you are looking for top notch, professional service with years of experience to back it up, This is likely one of few offices that you will be pleased with.
