I’ve been looking for a good walking distance sushi restaurant by me and I finally found one. The owner is really nice and the quality of the food you get here is amazing and the the taste of the sushi is so good. I think everything on the menu is price pretty decent. I was also surprised of how big the place was too, it had another connecting room on the side which makes it a good place to go with a group.

best deal for a $ 7 Ramen you can find in town. It’s delicious. I can’t wait to visit them for happy hour. Doesn’t Fried Scallop sushi sounds so good?

A wide variety of Asian foods to chose from, it was cold so I tried the Korean style stone pot Bi-Bim-Bop. I was spoiled growing up in Asia but I’d say it was solid. Wish there were more authentic Korean appetizers that came with it. The table was wobbly, a pet peeve of mine but overall the food was pretty good.

Badly cut my finger on the bathroom door. The staff did seem genuinely concerned when I walked up with a bloody napkin and asked for bandaids and hydrogen peroxide. They provided bandaids and neosporin. The truth is the whole restaurant is a mess. It’s dirty. There’s a low hanging air conditioning unit that says«watch your head.» There’s a bathroom lock that doesn’t work, so there’s a bolt on the door(that cut my finger). The bathroom is dirty. The floors are dirty. It’s just not a safe or clean place. Thank god I got a tetanus shot booster earlier this year!!! By providing the bandaid and neosporin they handled this situation in the bare minimum acceptable way. However, although I didn’t ask, I thought maybe a manager would come apologize, or I thought I’d see an employee go check out the door and try to sand down what had cut me, or I thought an employee would have refunded my meal, or at the very least, given me free soup or something. But they did nothing. As for the food, it was just so so. Even if I hadn’t been injured, I would have already been unlikely to return.

Solid 3. I’ve gotten the yakisoba lunch combo and those are a great deal in terms of quantity. However the volcano roll was absolutely terrible — pricey, small, and tasted like one of those 3 dollar sushi meals you get from ahem grocery store. Place is average, more like a fast food place and don’t expect any service. I would go back for their noodle/korean dishes but never again for sushi.

I’ve been here before for teriyaki but I just tried their sushi and it is soooo good. Go during happy hour! The price is the best I’ve seen and on top of that, it is delicious! I would come here again if I’m in the udistrict! My Personal Restaurant Rating Key One star: the food was bad and I had a negative experience. Two star: I had a more negative experience and would not come here again but the food was good so I may. Three store: Everything is good except one thing. Example-the food is good, the price is more reasonable but the atmosphere is lacking class. Or the food is good, the atmosphere is good, but they over charged us. These three stars are actually my favorite types of restaurants to go eat at if the reason is due to the atmosphere because they are usually delicious and reasonably priced. Four stars: Everything is great, food and experience. However the price is definitely on the upper end. I would not recommend this first to Obama unless he didn’t like my five stars. These are restaurants you can take your boss or your mother-in-laws to impress them, however they still don’t fit into the five star category. A bit fancier than my three stars, hence I don’t often eat here unless there is an occasion for it or there is a groupon that gives me a bit of a discount! Five stars: I would recommend this to Obama. The price may be on the upper end but the experience and the taste is so exquisite, it is actually worth every nickel and dime.

I ordered Las Vegas roll and dragon roll! It was delicious! Obviously not the best sushi I’ve ever had, but if you’re on the Ave and you wanna eat good food I’d recommend them!

A total no-frills kind of place that has a variety of menu items so you can get all sorts of food from sushi, teriyaki, even Korean dishes. If you couldn’t tell from the name of the restaurant, you can get all sorts of bento boxes here for under $ 10. The small bento is always more than filling. The one I get most often is chicken katsu, 4 pc. California roll, a salad(with the best dressing ever), an orange slice and rice. The food isn’t to die for but it’s good for a quick bite(food usually comes out quite fast) that’s cheap and close to UW campus. Sushi is $ 2 off during happy hour(4 – 7PM). I ordered one roll for $ 6 and it filled me up, a win in my book. The fried scallops were interesting, I’ve never had them fried. The fish isn’t very flavorful so the rolls with more sauce on them are probably better. Service is lacking — I haven’t had amazing experiences here. I waited 15 minutes for someone to give me my change until I finally went and asked for change. It’s very much a self-service restaurant so I don’t feel compelled to tip usually, especially when I pay before getting my food.(Sometimes you sit and order.)

This place is fine if you’re looking for mediocre sushi. I came here on a weekday for lunch, and spent about $ 16 on 2 basic rolls(spicy tuna and shrimp tempura) and a soda. The sushi rolls were not very flavorful; the spicy tuna in particular was quite bland. But the service was very fast and they have a gigantic menu. I would come here again, though probably not for sushi.

This is a decent and convenient place to go once in a while when you are craving a good sized meal that gets the food out pretty quick. They don’t have the best food but it’s still good! I’ve been here a few times for lunch with friends and it has a wide selection of sushi, teriyaki, and related Japanese items. I had sushi during happy hour/lunch special for the first time recently and I got the volcano roll and loved it. I also tried my friends’ Las Vegas roll and the salmon/tuna roll and liked it too. Not sure if I really like the udon and I have yet to try the teriyaki. The other things I’ve ordered are bento boxes which tastes good, not great, but is fulfilling. It also has a nice causal atmosphere for lunch. It’s bright inside, although it seems it could be just a little cleaner, I don’t really have anything to complain about. It’s your average bento shop!(Good for when you want lots of variety for your meal.

Cheap sushi happy hour from 4−7pm on Weekdays. Quality is surprising good for the price /ave, too. Other than the 4−7PM happy hour sushi, I have no reason to go here.

Nothing is good here!!! This place is cheap but the portions are more fit for a grasshopper than ravenous college students. Only come here if you’ve pulled 3 all nighters in a row and lost all yr taste buds because SCIENCE. Then, it might be passable. This place is so uninspired that I can’t be moved to put effort into this review. BoB is Exhibit A of why sushi should never be made cheap. The fish is tasteless, NOT because I lost all my taste buds. I don’t pull all nighters. Light 2 outta 5

Price: 4⁄5 — Come in between 4PM — 7PM for $ 2 off several sushi rolls. Atmosphere: 3⁄5 — A little inconsistent with cleanliness, but fairly average to everything else you will find on The Ave. Sushi: 4⁄5 — Fresh, good quality. Overall, this is a good place for a quick sushi run.

There are 90 reviews on a bento box place, is there really anything more I can add? Here is goes, I will say that despite there namesake Best of Bento is the not the best but it does have a lot of good qualities. Best of Bento boasts average prices, large portions, unlimited tea, speedy service, and plenty of space to rest your bones. After eating here consistently for a few years, here is what I have noticed, there are some days where the food is just much better than other days. Today, was one of those very good days, not sure what causes this inconsistency. Also, this place good use a real deep clean!

This is my favorite bento place on the Ave. This was one of the first restaurants I ventured into when I moved to Seattle 2.5 years ago, so maybe it’s the nostalgia, but I absolutely love the variety they offer for a great price. Over the past couple of years I’ve frequented this place, their prices haven’t ever gone up, but stayed consistent, and the quality is amazing. You can choose from a huge variety of things to include in your bento box. Anything from my favs(Chicken katsu, gyoza, beef teriyaki), get sushi, or even get individual meals. The portions are great and definitely enough for one person to eat and be full on. You go up to the counter and order for lunch, but during the dinner hours they have table service. It’s a bento house on the Ave, don’t expect 5 star quality food, but don’t expect garbage either.

When I talk about sushi, it is all about price for quality. I can get awesome sushi; I just can’t get it for cheap. If someone says their cheap sushi is awesome, I doubt their taste in sushi. Best of Bento had an excellent price per quality ratio. The rolls will not make you freak out due to sushi awesomeness(or should I say susahomeness, hehe), but it’s great for what you pay for. The size of the rolls are generous, and the service is quick and efficient. I had the Hawaiian, the Black Dragon, and a good olé Spicy Tuna Roll. I enjoyed all 3. The real standout for me here was the fried tofu. OMG– best fried tofu I have ever had– no comparison. I could have made a meal out of that. I would definitely go back here; lots of seats and choices. Great quality for price.

Good portion sizes for low prices. Okay quality ingredients. I am not a big fan of «Jorean» restaurants that serve various kinds of Asian foods. This place is perfect for the broke college student who is with friends and they all want to order something different. Service was not the best and everything overall was just Meh. I will say the salmon in my mini bento was good, I just wish I got a larger piece of salmon.

Came here for lunch and got the katsu and chicken combo meal. There is nothing special about this place but they give you a pretty big plate for the price. The food was pretty good and the service was fairly quick. Nothing special, but food was decent. College students who want bulk for their money may want to consider eating here.
