My favorite place to eat here. I highly recommend the Salmon Teriyaki rice bowl. It’s always busy so come early or call ahead!

The environment is upbeat. The waiter is friendly. The sushi is on a sushi belt which is pretty cool. The food is alright. I would come in once in awhile when I am in UW village.

OMG! What the hell happen to Blue C Sushi in U Village? Ever since they have moved to their new location, it’s been hard to get a seat for 1 person and the service has gone down hill! 10 minutes to get a glass of water; 10 minutes to respond to my call light; 15 minutes to get the bill; 15 minutes to get my card back! It took more time to get service than to eat my meal! Come on! It’s a shame too because the variety of rolls are good. I get better service at Genki in Renton! I’m not coming back here until they clean up their act!

I’ve only been to the U Ville location once for happy hour, but I am always so satisfied with Blue C Sushi no matter which location I go to! I need my sushi places to have dessert on the menu because what’s sushi without dessert? I had their lychee drink and the banana dessert which came highly recommended by a friend. One word: fantastic! I find so much relief in knowing that Blue C is clean and has legit sushi, even if it’s on the pricier end of sushi conveyer belts in Seattle. I would rather pay more for carefully made, quality sushi versus something cheap that’s slopped together quickly. Their service at this particular location can be improved a little by being more attentive. But in the grand scheme of things, it’s a phenomenal sushi place to go to!

This place is pretty good. The sushi is high quality, especially for a conveyor belt system. The sushi is not why this place has so-so reviews. The reviews are like that because generally when people eat conveyor belt sushi, they think cheap. which also lowers the quality of the sushi. I don’t blame people for thinking that way. Semi-fair price for the quality you’re getting. Went there for lunch and the restaurant portion had a long wait, but the bar was open seating so that was nice. The only complaint; $ 2.50 for miso soup?! Miso should always be between $ 1.00 — $ 1.50! I could buy all the ingredients for miso soup for under 7 bucks, and it would last me three weeks! Miso perspective 101. Anyways, sorry for the tangent: 4 stars.

The food is good most of the time(especially if you happen to order it and not take it off the belt) and the HH prices are very good. But service here could be better. Do you want a water refill? Better try and flag 3 different people down to get one. Do you want to know why your food is taking forever? Good luck with that too. I worked in a restaurant for many years and I for sure relied on my coworkers to help me out with refills and stuff like checking on orders. I don’t know if much of that happens here. It certainly doesn’t happen at Happy Hour. Servers are far too busy lined up at the drink well waiting for their own drinks to be made(for 3 – 4 mins sometimes) instead of seeing who around the area needs another drink or is waving for their check. This bad service doesn’t describe everyone of course. The Asian girl who works the bar during the afternoon(can’t remember her name) is always attentive and on top of things and will even remember your order from when you came in 2 weeks before. Anyway, I do like Blue C, the Fremont location over this one by far, but their overall service needs to improve for me to keep going back.

The Chuck E. Cheese of sushi bars. Lots of screaming unruly kids throwing rice on the floor and acting out. It’s fairly loud with all the yelling every time a customer comes through the door. The sushi track is fun and the sushi is ok but it’s really cut out for entertaining entitled Seattle hipster brats. Bring your purel wipes!

I typically don’t go to Blue C Sushi because it’s on the higher end of pricing when it comes to conveyor belt sushi. But their new Happy Hour deals make it slightly worth it. Came around 5pm and waited for a few minutes. But it did start getting busier as we were sitting at our table. Happy hour is from 4 – 6 and includes anything off the belt for $ 3, but you can also order off the menu too(since they don’t have all of the options out). $ 3 Drinks: specialty drinks, house wines, and house sake were also part of HH. I got the ginger margarita… which mostly tasted like the sour margarita mix and very little to no ginger flavor. The dishes I got: legion of boom, potato katsu, pacific roll, spicy tuna roll, salmon skin roll… there’s more, but I can’t remember. — Legion of boom was okay: I don’t really like cream cheese in my sushi, so the cheese from the jalapeño popper threw me off. — Potato katsu: simple, but small portion for the cost. — Pacific roll: I don’t know why I actually got this dish, because I don’t particularly like coconut shrimp. It was ok, but definitely had the coconut taste I’m not really a fan of. — Spicy tuna roll: simple and a usual go to. — Salmon skin roll: not sure if I’m a fan. Another friend got it and it looked good so I decided to try it. Too hard to chew. The one thing that I do like is the little robot car thing they have that delivers your plate that you ordered from the server. They have the little tablet things on the tables to «order» but I don’t even think those really work because there wasn’t a button to press«order» i would only come here during HH again, but only if this was the most sensible sushi spot for the situation.

My gf and I were trying to kill time while waiting on our to-go order from a different restaurant. We decided to pop in Blue C since the bar area didn’t look to crowded. We were not planning to eat anything since it looked like one of those restaurants with the conveyor belt filled with assortments of sushi and small plates, you grab whatever you want as it passes by. Long story short we sat at the bar, had a glass of wine each and decided to order a few pieces of sushi. No lie, the fish was so buttery and melted in our mouth, we were in awe of how delicious and fresh it was. We were not expecting that out of this restaurant since the Unilocal stars were mediocre. Needless to say we enjoyed everything we had and glad to have been able to pop in on a whim.

Weekends at this Blue C are characterized by lots of families with children and long waits. Nothing wrong with the kids(my kids being the only reason we dine here) — but long waits can be fixed. For example, on a recent visit, we were told the wait was 1-hour. With our name on the wait list, leaving to do some U-Village browsing we noticed four counter spaces that hadn’t been bussed and at least one table still dirty with dishes. 45 minutes later when we returned, the counter still was not cleaned up and at least three tables were empty needing to be cleaned for new guests. Scanning the restaurant, clearly numerous satiated diners were patiently awaiting their checks. Even some asking the kitchen staff how to pay. Meanwhile, the wait list was about 15 parties deep and lobby getting quite crowded. Potential customers telling the greeters to take their names off the list so they can dine elsewhere. Bottom line is Blue C needs to increase the staffing of this location. Having so much empty seating capacity with lots of waiting patrons is not good for their business. We could of driven to Fremont or Downtown Blue C and been served quicker. Or better yet, went to a different Sushi place and had an excellent meal(but the kids love the conveyor).

Oh boy. I don’t like writing negative reviews… But here goes. The good: The location is awesome. I love shopping in University Village and I love having dining options that don’t require getting in the car or walking too far, especially with kiddos in tow. The interior décor is modern and fun… They will take your number to text when your table is ready… Ok, that’s great! The novelty of a conveyor belt for kids is a mom’s way of having sushi with her girlfriend when your kid won’t eat sushi. The deliver of items ordered through your server(or computerized ordering device)… Oh, my kiddo thought it was just the coolest. Sake. Sparkling. In a pink bottle, served in purple cups. The not-so-good: We could not figure out the touch screen ordering system. When a server came to our table he even said to just order from him because it’s easier. Why have the stupid things? The food on the conveyor belt. Sad, sad, sad. One of the plates I grabbed was a salmon nigiri… The salmon was warm… Which then tasted fishy… Which then made me gag a little and pay for something I couldn’t eat. Very few gluten free items on the conveyor belt… Rice and fish? Seaweed? Seaweed salad is not gluten free? What do you do to it? I could probably go on but it would just repeat what others have written. In the end, don’t rely on the convenience of this location.

My kids love this place. My wallet hates it. We came in here for lunch, just at opening. The kids were hungry, and are hard to please these days, but sushi that comes around to your table? WIN! Well, that’s what we thought, but there have been some changes since was last ate at Blue C, and that makes a difference by tens of dollars on the meal. After seeing«sustainable» and other good«green» signs, I was hoping that I’d be assured that what they’re serving is, indeed, sustainable(and hopefully, not involving slave labor, which most of the shrimp out there does.) I didn’t get such assurances by the plate, however. They have yellowfin tuna, which is overfished, and while healthy to eat, is really something to be avoided. They have salmon that’s labeled as «organic» when no such certification exists, leading me to believe it may also be farmed(which typically ends up with higher levels of PCBs and heavy metals). I ended up avoiding the yellowfin and salmon, and frankly ended up eating just a few california rolls, some tamago, veggie rolls, and seaweed salad. These small plates and hot tea came out to be over $ 20! I was still hungry, and after the total bill for my family of 4 was tallied, I wished I had just grabbed a salad at Evergreens. I was so hungry after I left! The thing is, the smaller, vegetable-filled, non-fish dishes are priced at $ 3.50, likely costing 10cents to make, and making up the margins for the discount you get when you go for the yellowfin or their crazy(very American, mayo and cream cheese filled) rolls. You can get a bargain here, if you don’t care about where your food comes from. You can get better sushi and spend the same amount of money. Don’t let the small price per plate fool you. Consider you may be going for 4 – 6 plates per person, and spending a minimum of $ 3.50 per plate. If that’s your speed, then have at it! Personally, I’ll be going somewhere else in U. Village to feed my family in the future.

Planning a party or event? Thinking about sushi for said party? Do not get it from Blue C! We were planning a birthday /get together for weeks and called them days in advance to get everything sorted out. All seemed okay… Came to pick up the food at 5pm just as everything was planned and ended up having to wait 50 minutes for our order. Everyone was trying to be nice but it really wasn’t cool. We were late for our birthday with all of the food! Also, they were out of several things we ordered but didn’t tell us until the end and we had no time to replace those items with something else. Oh yeah and things were missing… What happened to the eel on my eel avocado roll? The sushi was alright but everything else was disorganized and caused my girlfriend and I a ton of unnecessary stress. Maybe dining in is better? I don’t know. The experience was bad and I don’t know if we will be back.

It was kid friendly, and super fun for them. They loved seeing the plates go around the conveyor belt, and especially the train that sends the menu ordered items. It was also great that they seem to have more wild and organic options here than at the Bellevue location. Although I’m still not sure if the«organic salmon» mean much: .

I was excited to try this place after the reopening, I always eat at the one downtown. When we first arrived, it was pretty busy. However the host sat us right by the door and we were hit by the cold breeze our whole meal. Which I didn’t like. The food was meh, soggy and lukewarm for the most part. They have a new system where you can order through a tablet and when we tried to use it, it wasn’t even working so we had to keep ordering through our server, who was lovely but they were so understaffed that I almost felt bad every time I had to turn the light on bc she was already running around like crazy. I’ll probably return, but definitely not going out of my way to do so.

I have to give this place one star because it is just SO overpriced for what you get. Didn’t use to be this way. But now, even during happy hour, it’s too dang expensive for the mediocre sushi and slow service(for dishes that you order that aren’t on the conveyor belt). If you want affordable, good, and fast sushi off a belt, head to Sushi Tengu by The Thorton Creek Cinemas, across from Northgate Mall. You’ll pay half as much and be much more satisfied.

Meh… Way too overpriced for what you get. Better than Sushi Maru in Bellevue in terms of quality though. It’s super convenient to get seated and there is really good service, but it’s really hard to justify coming here because of the price. Also is it just me or was the old location where the Amazon Bookstore is now more classy?

We decided to check out the new Blue C location just a few doors down from where it used to be. This place is super fun! They have a conveyor belt as they did before, but now they have a little car on a separate belt that delivers the hot food that you can order! Our waitress Tina was super attentive and gave great service. We had organic salmon sashimi, pork sausage skewers, and spicy tuna on crispy rice just to name a few. Everything was delish! We will definitely be back for sure.

I have been meaning to try this place since they re-opened. Wow was I disappointed! When I arrived on a Wednesday at 6PM the dinner rush was revving up. I was told they had a seat for one at the bar that just needed to be cleared. In fact, I could see it since it was right by the entrance. So I was able to watch for the next 7 – 10 minutes as the plate of dishes just sat there un-cleared. While I waited I also overheard that most people were having to wait around 45 minutes. When I was finally seated I was told«your server will be with you shortly.» Well… 10 minutes later she finally came by to ask if I needed anything other than water. I asked for a soy sauce dish, which seems pretty basic at a sushi restaurant, but I guess I had to ask. Another 10 minutes went by, then my server came back with the dish and water. So, to be clear here, it took me 20 minutes after being seated to just get the basic set up for my dinner. She was very nice, but clearly unable to provide the simplest things that are required for service at this mostly self-service place. The space had some drawbacks. It was pretty loud. I was seated right near the door, which meant I got a blast of cold air every time the door opened. It seemed to be a good place for the many families who were there with young kiddos, but it wasn’t so great for me on my own. The sushi itself was fine. It was better than some of the other conveyor belt sushi places I have been and had a lot of options. However it is also more expensive and I’m not sure it quite merits that cost increase. Would I try it again? Sure. Would I keep my expectations low? Definitely.

Since the reopening of the U-village location I’ve been meaning to make a point of checking out what they’ve updated. Having been a long time patron of the restaurant since its original location opened in Fremont, walking in I realized changes and additions can be scary and exciting at the same time when it comes to a restaurant you know and love. The décor is awesome and the layout is fluid and everyone gets a good view of what’s going around the belt. There’s even a nifty little tablet for ordering if you’d like – I personally would rather order from my server directly – but for family’s or large orders could be really helpful especially when it’s super busy,(and it does get busy!). I was dining with my friend who is vegan, and assumed that finding something for her to eat would be difficult, however it was actually quite convenient. The menu is laid out with a section specifically for vegan/vegetarian dishes. Not to mention the awesome new menu with grilled meats and vegetables, at only $ 3 for a vegetable skewer it was cheap and easy to feed my vegan friend until she couldn’t eat any more. The eggplant was amazing – I had to steal a bite – it was almost as good as the beef skewer I had. All together I found this savory addition to the menu a good contrast to the fresh sashimi and nigiri I usually order. All in all it was a very fun experience and I look forward to going back and enjoying more of the new additions(and save room for desert! Apparently they have crêpes now)

I haven’t dined in at Blue C yet, but I’ve been here a few times to order take-out so this review is based on that. With the way that this new location is set up, you have to walk from the entrance, around the dining area, to the other end of the restaurant by the kitchen to order take-out. You can grab things from the belt or you can find a free waiter/waitress to place an order. The workers that I’ve interacted with so far haven’t been the nicest/friendliest, but they at least get my order right. For the food, I think this is one of the better belt sushi places in Seattle. Their menu changed a little since they moved locations, but I still like it. I think the price of their food here is in accordance with the quality of the sushi. I’ll definitely be back to order take-out, but probably won’t dine it. It seems to always be really busy!

This was my very first sushi restaurant I have ever been to and I must say our first time was definitely a pleasant experience ! The atmosphere was very family friendly considering we brought our daughter she had fun. I would recommend this place to my friends and family. I always love blue c sushi whenever I’m In Seattle cuz a close friend of mine recommended we have dinner there so now I always make it a point to dine there when I’m in town. But this last experience Was above and beyond. The restaurant was super clean, they had a ton of fresh sushi on the revolving bar and the staff was warm and welcoming. The waiter recommended a few Things and it was so delicious. Can’t wait to come back and so much appreciate the climate that was created, makes it so much more Of a great experience !

I’m not easily pleased but I must say I was really moved by this sushi restaurant. First & foremost the ambiance as you walk in is very welcoming & clean. Our waiters were all extremely friendly & helpful. Service was fast & our needs were well taken care of– never had to use the paging blue button even once. I also enjoyed the unique belt they had; some had mini warmers to guarantee freshness & warmth! The mini car that brings your off-belt orders on the other hand is really impressive & cool! My kids enjoyed just seeing it past through every so often during our stay. The food was great & very satisfying! I ordered a few favorites as well as a few new items. I absolutely loved them all! Everything was fresh & very tasteful. Not a bit disappointed! All in all I am beyond satisfied & will definitely be coming back often!

Came in today because I had a huge craving for sushi, normally I would have chosen a local sushi place but since the location was so convenient we decided to give Blue C in U village a shot. I’m glad I did! The sushi was fresh and seemed almost that it was made to order and delicious. We had the grilled steak and shrimp from the robata grill delivered on a speed train directly to our table. The nice thing about the belt was that it had so many options to choose from, multiple different types of gyoza and even Shumai. The sushi chef prepared me an amazing selection of sashimi that blew me away, completely did not expect this from a place like this. Staff: the hospitality of the staff was great, we were greeted immediately and felt very welcomed from all the employees around, super friendly and even more efficient. Really dialed in as a team. I’ll definitely be back very soon!

I’ve never been much of a sushi guy personally, so when my friends made me go I wasn’t thrilled. When we got in there it took a second to get a seat, but the hosts gave us some cool chip things and offered to give us a call when our turn for a table came up. After about 5 or 10 minutes we got to go take our seat. We got seated and the first thing our server asked was of we had been here before. Myself and one of my other buddies said no and she explained how the whole thing worked. At the end of her schpeil she asked if we had any more questions, which is when I asked what I should get as an avid not-a-fan-of-sushi type. This is where the service part of server came out. She figured out what I did and didn’t like, from seafood to standard meats, noodles, veggies, sauces, etc. She then made basically a shopping list for me of what was going to make me happy for sure, and what I could do to adventure. I settled on playing it safe with a salmon teriyaki bowl. It was great! Some of the best I be had! Later I kept being boring with some katsu and gyoza. She kept checking in on us, taking orders and bringing plates. Eventually she showed up with two plates that we never ordered. She said they were for me. A Spicy Crab Roll and an Ungai(eel I think) Nigiri. I was hesitant but I gave it a shot, and well, the results were a 5 star review. The world gained another sushi fan, and next time I go(which will be soon!) I’m thinking I’ll even give the raw stuff another go. Well done Blue C Sushi!

This place is pretty trendy. But I am spoiled by good sushi in Vancouver. So this place is ok to me. Its a belt sushi place. So $ 2.50, $ 3.00, $ 3.50, $ 4.00, $ 4.50 and $ 5.00. and you can also order using the little touch screen at each table. Its pretty cool for the pre order things its delivered by a small car. Love that idea. It looks soo high tech and cool. Sushi is ok. Not like wow wow. My favorite dish was the mochi ice cream. Awkward Ehhhh??? I came here for lunch and it worked out to be $ 40 per person. Not cheap at all. especially if you order through the machine. Service was ok as well. Décor is nice and clean. This is important to me! Will I come back. Well maybe…

Like so many other folks I actively waited for the opening of this location regularly checking the website and Facebook page… unfortunately it was not worth the sadness I felt with the closure of the corner location. There is no functional waiting area in the new space to accommodate the volume of people that will be waiting. The makeshift area offers the belt at the perfect height for little hands to touch and knock plates off the belt or adults to place their backsides and hair near the food. The women’s room sink is still broken(reported in an earlier review) and overall is way too small… also with no waiting area. It felt like there was no one bussing the tables and you will note this on your long wait for a table over and over again. The food is mostly unchanged though they report that they have added many new options that you can order or the table top tablet… If it works. I miss being able to talk to and interact with the sushi chefs and the openness that would allow you to make eye contact with the service staff. Our overall bill did not reflect our satiation or satisfaction. Sadly, likely our last visit for a very long time.

I mean the sushi is really really far from okay… There is always a line of enthusiasts waiting to be seated at Blue C sushi here in U village, so I decided to give it a shot. The ambience is definitely amazing. Huge open space, tall ceilings, tablets on each table with games to choose from and even the option to choose your dish and order it directly. You can either choose items directly from the belt or order from the kitchen; in the latter case, a robot will bring your food to your table which is pretty cool. Technology aside, the food is surprisingly not good… Tasted like stale sushi that you buy in prepared packages from a grocery store. It has either been sitting there for too long or the quality has been bad to begin with; in either case, it tasted… Expired!!! To me… The only reason I am giving this place two stars was the experience and not the food, the food would be more of a one star to me.

For some reason, this place looks smaller than the old location, and it looks smaller than the previous tenants, Boom Noodle. My friend pointed out that the lower ceilings may have something to do with that. Either way, it made the restaurant feel more cramped. When I looked at the prices I was shocked at how much they had risen since I’d last been there. Granted, it has been a couple years, but I feel like price inflation has been much more gradual at other conveyor belt sushi places. For these prices, I expected there to be a much greater difference in quality. Instead, everything tasted pretty average, and the presentation(or lack thereof) left much to be desired. It’s a shame, because I once regarded this restaurant as decently good in a sea of mediocre eateries in UVill. Moving to a new location could’ve been a great opportunity to breathe new life into this place. Instead, it seems they have opted to make themselves obsolete.

We went for lunch today & I felt overwhelmed & confused by their new digital ordering system, and simultaneously underwhelmed by the food. I was also disappointed that the tablet at the table offered kids games to play, but you have to pay for them. The host didn’t mention anything about this & my kids started a game, which was easier to do than order food. Service was so so. The belt selection was limited, but you can’t order belt items on the digital menu. You have to place the order with the server, whom we didn’t see very often. Even after we pushed our blue light, it took a while for someone to help us. Our avocado roll order took a really long time. It’s just rice & avocado in nori! There was hardly any avocado in the rolls. It looked like it was smeared with avocado, rather than chunks. I also find the price of their plates are high, especially since the portions aren’t big. I was really hoping this location move would be an improvement to the old Blue C at U Village, but it’s worse.
