Absolute Security Alarms

We have been customers of Absolute Security Alarms for 2 – 3 years and they are the company who originally installed our equipment. Our experience has been nothing short of perfect and if we weren’t leaving the Seattle area, we’d certainly be customers for more years to come. Tons of integrity, great customer service. Highly recommend this local company for home security equipment and monitoring.

ASA made our purchase of a security system for our new home super easy! Kristi came out to our place to suggest the right system for us. She was super friendly and very flexible when we had a bit of an emergency with our dog while she was there. She did not oversell us anything, but gave us the pro’s and con’s of adding extra items to our package. In the end we only got an extra fob and extra door sensor. She explained how the panel worked, how the connection to the call center worked and demoed the phone/​tablet
apps. She also reviewed all of the payment options and to us, the pricing was very reasonable. All of our questions got answered. Installation happened a couple of weeks later due to my business travel schedule. installer was also great, friendly and totally on point. He quickly found the optimal place for the control panel so had to only do very minor drilling. He knew what to look for to minimize impact to the new home. He thoroughly went over how to work the panel; reviewed how he named each sensor and how to set up our accounts and logins. It all seemed too simple to be true but it is. We LOVE how easy and intuitive the control panel and the
app is. I feel very comforted by the texts and emails it sends me when I’m away on travel or vacation that my partner or our dog sitters have alarmed the house appropriately when leaving the house. We made an awesome choice by going with ASA and we’ll be a proud customer for sure!

Exceeded my expectations. Our house had a security system already installed when we moved in, but the sellers did not know how to use it. Ed from Absolute quickly got in to the system, helped me re-​set the code, and taught me to use the system. Very affordable as well. Would highly recommend!

We found Absolute Security on Unilocal and recently had them do a takeover updating our old alarm system. I was hesitant to go with Absolute because the cost was more than competitors, but I really liked some of the technology in their system. Now that our system is installed I love it and I’m so happy we went with them. I can turn on the alarm without getting out of bed, or from my car as I pull out of the driveway. We had an issue with the system and their team took care of it immediately. Incredible overall customer service. Thanks guys!

I had an urgent matter and they made it a priority to come out for a consultation, discuss my options, and set up a quick and thorough installation. The cameras work beautifully, and every one was fast, professional, trustworthy and friendly. I’m glad to have their systems protecting my elderly mother. After a lot of searching and research we went with Absolute because of the great reviews and they are local. Local was important to us. Kristi came out and quoted what we needed and did not push for things that we did not. Prices were great. Installation was fantastic. Lovely installers who took their time and educated me on how it all works. Prices are good and we feel much safer now. We especially like that in the event we need service or help, a person is there to help and not a voice on the phone that explains our new equipment is in the mail and should be 3 – 5 days to arrive. :)

For starters, these guys use
as the back-​end for the security system, which was exactly what I was looking for. Kristi came out and was very knowledgeable and patient in explaining their setup. I’m not a nube, but I wanted to go over everything with a fine tooth comb and make sure I understand what we are paying for, and the differences between leasing and owning the equipment. Costs are very reasonable and well-​spelled out.
Their techs are great as well, and did a careful job with the install, and took plenty of time to go through and do things right and go over the configuration of the system. They have been responsive post-​sale with any customer service questions, and stand behind their service and product. I like the fact I’m going with a local company and not just a sales rep for a large installer that farms out their tech work and you won’t hear from again until your contract is up. I’ve had experience with both ADT and Protection One, and both give you a lot of what you might expect — very low value for high cost.
And if you’re looking for a system with flexibility and the ability for you to configure it the way you want, I highly recommend
platform they use.

OMG! I love this company. I signed up in December with them after a lot of research and calling other alarm companies. I found that ADT tried to oversell me and was more interested in high pressure sales than listening to my concerns. With Absolute, Kristi came over to my house, looked around and talked about the weaknesses and strengths in my home and designed a package for me. She also showed me how the system worked. It is very user friendly and Absolute is available for my questions! I highly recommend.

Matthew helped me navigate my DSC system so I could disarm it safely. Over the phone. FOR FREE! The system came with our house, but we never got the codes, and it recently started beeping and screeching. DSC’s customer service and website were not helpful. Unilocal and Matthew/​Absolute Security Alarms to the rescue! If we decide to reinstate this system, we’ll definitely be calling on the very nice and helpful folks at Absolute Security Alarms.

We have had Absolute Security for several months now and have been thrilled with the product and service we’ve gotten from this company.
Our contact, Cheryl, has been absolutely fantastic! After meeting with us for an initial consultation, she helped us find the right combination of hardware for our home, explained all the features thoroughly, patiently answered all of our questions, and has been very responsive with follow up questions we’ve had as we got used to our new system. The system itself is incredibly easy to use, has great features, and the installation was simple and quick.
We’d highly recommend this company, and if you get the option, ask for Cheryl — she’s extremely knowledgeable, professional, and a pleasure to work with.

I’m updating my review based on the follow up I received after posting my original Unilocal review. ASA worked it out with Monitronics that they could come fix my system. The guy that fixed it all was super knowledgeable and polite, did an awesome job. It’s been about a month and everything is working great.
If you go with these guys, just be sure to always request them from Monitronics if you need any work done.

Just got service installed, so this is based on the set-​up and customer service aspect. However, the system seems very advanced but is easy to use.
Ryan in the sales department came out same day to quote us for a system. Made things simple, didn’t suggest anything that wasn’t necessary. Really funny and nice guy too.
Derek was the installation tech. We had to hang out for a few hours but he was a lot of fun to be around, and he explained things very simply. Was in and out in 2 – 2.5 hours.
Also, if you call and nobody is available, they return calls promptly if you leave a message. Great company.

I’ve been looking at getting an alarm system for our house for a while and I haven’t had good experiences with ADT and have seen a lot of commercials for Comcast but always worried about dealing with a large company whose main service is not home security.
When I heard about Absolute Security, a well known local business, I contacted them and immediately was talking to a live, qualified professional. They came over to our house and made suggestions for the placement of the sensors. It was a very thorough process and I felt confident with their suggestions.
Ron came over few days later to install the sensors and keypad. He was very competent and experienced. He even took the time to explain how the system works to my 11 year old daughter. To this day we haven’t looked at the manual because of the amazing introduction by Ron.
The best part of Absolute Security is their customer service. Each time I’ve called them for various reasons I’ve always had a live person answer the phone instead of of an automated voice. How amazing is that?!
We feel very safe with our security system and we are thrilled we chose this company, so much so that we are planning to use them for our office.

After an incident in our neighborhood, and having a vehicle stolen, I started talking to neighbors, and found out that there had been quite a few — now they show up on
. I
So we started our research, called a number of services, read reviews. had done a couple «Install It Yourself» things which really didn’t work out too well, so I wanted a good intelligent installation. We chose Absolute Security due to features, a promise of intelligent no obligation evaluation, dedicated local service, guarantee and support of wireless devices, etc.
Mark came out and gave a very kind evaluation. He evaluated us and our home and neighborhood, and made suggestions that fit us and the house specifically. We asked for more than he suggested, and he said that wasn’t necessary, we don’t need it. In other words he only sold us what we needed. The installation was very smooth and well thought out. (They allow plenty of time, as in hours, to do it right and to set up our devices and train us well.
The system is very foolproof, user friendly, has a way to silently tell Monitronics if we were dearming the system under diress, texts us both us if we didn’t arm by the certain time, at night we agreed on, has a handy keyfob, gives us a quick exit and the programmed number of seconds when we enter, and we can control its status through our kefob, through our cell phones/​tab/​any computer, or at the panel which is super clear. Reliability? solid as a rock.
Compared to prices and features we had from others this is absolutely right-​priced.
We could not be happier, and it’s a VERY good feeling that we are absolutely secure at night or when away. We now own the equipment; it goes with us if we move.
Extra: We did supplement with a camera system (not from this supplier), which I wouldn’t do without. I have subsequently given police the image of a car prowler in our driveway, and he was arrested. From where I type this, I can see when and who is coming to our house or in the street in front, and it’s recorded. I wish several neighbors would get cameras, we would have a nice secure neighborhood.

First of all — We LOVE our alarm system! The panel and app are super easy to use and have a ton of great features and we feel very secure having it at our new home.
Absolute Security was totally awesome. Ryan did a great job walking us through what was needed to best protect our home without false alarms due to our cat. Then when install day came, Edgar came over and was very professional and walked us through how to use everything.
One big reason why we chose Absolute Security is that you have a local place to call if something isn’t right. They use Monitronics for monitoring, but if you have a question, you can call them –they’re right here in Ballard! — and talk to someone local and knowledgable instead of wading through some phone tree. To be fair, I’ve never had to call Monitronics, they may be great. But having the option of calling a local pro is idea.
Ironically, I went to a friend’s birthday party recently and saw the same panel on the wall and asked who he picked for a security company. He said he had done a ton of research and ended up going with Absolute, so it sounds like our experience is pretty universal.

We recently had Absolute Security Alarms install a security system along with multiple cameras at our residence. We were very pleased with the level of service and professionalism we received from start to finish. Cheryl came out, assessed our needs and delivered accordingly. We had everything installed within a few days and are happy to report that everything is great. The alarm system is extremely user-​friendly. We are able to control everything from our smart phones and other devices, which is pretty swanky. After doing lots of research, we ended up going with Absolute because they are local and their customer service was stellar. We did entertain other companies, however they either didn’t show up, showed up late, didn’t seem to have quality products or never got back to us at all. We considered ADT since we see their signs all over but got mixed reviews and heard horror stories from friends that had experienced issues which resulted in ongoing headaches. We’re especially pleased with the keypad interface that Absolute installed and how easy it is to use. Yes, we had to do some research before choosing to go with Absolute, but that’s important when selecting something designed to protect your family. We’re very happy and would recommend Absolute Security Alarms in a heart beat…

I was really wanting an alarm for our new house in our new ‘hood but was super not into all the crap I’d researched online which seemed like way too much or not enough and not user friendly and NOT the Evil Comcast Empire-SO…Kris R. of Absolute Alarms totally hooked us up with an easy to use, thorough, efficient and all encompassing alarm system. We can have our cat sitter use the system easily and I reccomended them to my friend in her new place~ Kris is SUPER! Personable, knowledge
able and on top of her game! Yay!!!

We are really happy and very impressed with Kristie and Absolute Security Systems! Kristi came down on the weekend to do a walk through of our home and made spot on recommendations which were in line with what we were thinking as we had an issue with the system that we inherited when we bought the house and it was old technology. Absolute Security has equipment that is user friendly, can turn off anywhere you have internet access and can add other features such as lights. We can see who comes and goes and even let someone in from an app.
We really wanted a local company that was responsive and they went above and beyond.
This is the best company around hands down, don’t go anywhere else, trust me, we interviewed about 10 different companies including some of the big box, do it yourself, don’t do it yourself, this was well worth the cost!
