History

Established in 2006.

Welcome to Screamin’ Mimi’s of Savannah, Georgia, where the love of Pizza making is our main focus. With a hip vibe, good friends, and great food, Screamin’ Mimi’s will offer you a one-of –a-kind eating experience that you will not forget. Once you step inside you will feel the warmth all around. Since this is a family owned and operated business, we want you to feel like family. Big Lou, Mimi, Tara, & Lou Jr. have made this the place it is today with it’s award winning Pizza, subs and pasta dishes all made utilizing Mimi’s own recipes and Lou Jr’s dough making experience. All dough is made fresh several times every day, «hand tossed» and cooked to perfection in our brick ovens.

At Mimi’s you will find only the freshest ingredients from local produce delivered daily to the fresh baked bread and cooked to order Pasta dishes. Of course, Mimi’s famous meatballs and homemade pasta sauce is a must if you pay us a visit.

Meet the Business Owner

Lou C.

Business Owner

The story started back in the 1930’s with my Grandparents in their 9th Street South Philadelphia deli and bakery. The business thrived until 1952 when my grandfather passed away, but the tradition of a family food business remained with me until I opened my first pizza shop outside of Atlantic City in 1987.

Now living in Savannah, Georgia it was my son Lou Jr and my daughter Tara who urged me to open another pizza shop and, once again, in 2006 we opened Screamin’ Mimi’s at our now famous location in the Crawford Square Plaza in the historic district located in downtown Savannah.
