Love the Haircut Store! Erin always makes me feel beautiful and does a great job on my hair. I am so thankful I found her to do my hair. She is not only my stylist, she has become my friend. Highly recommended Erin to do your hair!!!

If I could give zero stars I would. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. The employees there are extremely rude. I will never go there again

Vanessa was very good and very friendly. She does a really good job with curly hair and is very knowledgeable about products.

I started with this company back in 00 @ the Clairemont location, No problems-​awesome place. Then I moved and went to the El Cajon location, once again No problems-​awesome place. Then I move once again and start going to the Santee location. At first I would say it was OK… I found a stylist that I liked and have used in the past many yrs ago. As I continued to go there the service just got terrible and I just kept telling myself just go back and give them another chance because we all have bad days. Shame on me for thinking this way, the only reason I gave them 2 stars is that they do know how to cut hair but not treat there customers good. If you have poor customer service your business will fail no matter what.

I’ve been there twice now for color and cut. Dustin does my hair and does a great job. The price is right and the people are really professional and nice.

I’ve been going to this haircut store since it opened, so about 10 years or so? The staff is always very friendly and we are on a fist name basis at this point.

I actually stumbled across this place by accident meaning to go somewhere else!
Everyone was –VERY– nice, friendly and chatty. There was no wait. Now about the cut.
I came with a picture showing what I wanted it took a bit of explaining and a little bit of testing with things but, you know. I like it alot and my stylist worked with me till we got just what I wanted. I’ll probably be coming back :)

It is ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ here. It really depends on who is doing your hair. I have love it, and then again they have made me cry it was so bad. All in all not bad for a quick style or a simple trim, but any big stuff no way.

After 6 years of going to the haircut store, I was greatly disappointed upon my recent trip today and after the past year its no surprise. Understanding that the economy has taken a hit there has been an increase in fee’s and I understood that as I too have had to tighten my own belt. My son has been going there since his first hair cut and we both have seen new stylist come and go and have gotten to know the regulars of those that work there. The store recently underwent a face lift and new looks usually mean a new atmosphere however what my son and I experienced was nothing less that the worst customer service I’ve ever received. After being told that the wait was between 20−30min we decided to wait as its hard to find a place that you can trust cut your hair. After waiting an hour and watching a family come in and obviously knowing the manager and receptionist they were accepted right in and quickly received a hair cut. Had this been a misunderstanding or a one off I would understand however the lower end stylist I’ve seen come through and the continued lack of customer service I had to tell my son that it was time to find a new place to get our hair cuts. Needless to say we just got up and left.
If your looking for a one stop place for a quick cut then this might be your place however if your looking for a long term place to go, I would say keep looking. very disappointed in the decay of customer service and finished product. if you do go there, try and go with one of the younger gals as the older ones usually rush you through to get to their regular customers.

I’ve been in to the Haircut Store twice — and have been very happy both times. Tami & Kim are the stylists I’ve been to — and I sadly forget the name of the woman who’s done my brows when I’ve gone in.
They are very inexpensive, which is a plus — and you do not need an appointment. Everyone’s very friendly, and though there is usually a wait, there’s a cold stone and a starbucks RIGHT there so you can grab a nibble while you wait!
I’ve always gone in sort of knowing what I wanted — and always got exactly what I asked for. :)
