Firestone Complete Auto Care

The last few times I’ve been into this Firestone I’ve always gotten great customer service from Tiffany! I always get a phone call whether it’s an update or that it’s done. The other 2 gentleman are always wonderful when I come in as well. I will continue to bring my car to this location. I will definitely be recommending this Firestone to my friends & family! It’s very nice finding a place that I can trust to take care of me. Thank you Tiffany, Kris & Darryl for making this one of the things I don’t need to stress about anymore!

What a great experience! I needed tires and fast! I got an amazing deal (they price matched another tire shop)! Professional, clean and Tiffany knows her stuff! I would highly recommend this store for all your tire and/​or service needs!!!

I walked in to this location with low expectations – as I had just been turned away from another location (National City, Highland Ave) because my car was «too low.» At this point, I felt that I was conned into buying a lifetime alignment – when they couldn’t do the job anymore because they had «newer» machines that couldn’t perform the job. Luckily, I heard about this location by calling other Firestones – apparently this location is the ‘mecca’ for lowered vehicles.
As soon as I arrive, I’m immediately greeted by Darryl. His greeting was not only professional, but it was also informative and brief (no fluff). This was surprisingly refreshing compared to the dismal greeting I got from the last location. Darryl went over what I was to expect while my vehicle was being serviced – and that was that. The wait wasn’t even THAT bad – and each service bay was full when I arrived.
Ian was the mechanic who worked on my vehicle – this guy really knows what he’s doing. He knew how to drive my vehicle, even if it was parked on an elevated bank – avoiding scrapes. When I had little hope to getting my vehicle aligned – Ian came through and got the job done. He answered my questions and even made recommendations for my suspension to improve my driving experience.
I am so happy I found this location – I will NEVER be returning to National City even if it’s the closest to my home.
If anyone is looking for customer service that is second to none, come and see any of the following staff: Darryl, Kris, Tiffany – they are all super friendly and efficient.

I usually come here and everything goes smoothly. but today I had an appointment at 1pm and it’s 2:35 now and they havent even started on my car yet. Im in the waiting area, and all I wanted was an oil change, tire rotation and alignment. What is the point of an appointment if hours have gone by and my car hasn’t even been started on yet.

First I was skeptical about going to this shop and thought it would be another typical auto shop that would «suggest» things that I don’t need to get fixed on my car, but I was wrong. As soon as I pulled up and parked my 350z the staff immediately dropped what she was doing and greeted me with the warmest good morning. Tiffany helped me and provided my with excellent service. She also was very friendly and professional and answered all my questions with ease and without «the look and tone of being annoyed». I highly recommend this shop, specially to all my lowered brothers and sisters out there.

Vehicle: 2004 Toyota Tacoma 230,000 miles
Positive, they were able to take in two of our company vehicles even though they were short staffed. The service on one of our fleet trucks was needed since this is the first day that it wasn’t needed at a job site, and that it hadn’t received any maintenance in over eight months.
Negative, this is the third or fourth time that I’ve had my air conditioning system assessed by Firestone. Each time I’ve received a diagnostic that has not solved the problem. First, was a recharge of the AC freon system which was understandable, however, did not solve the problem. Second, was a time when my vehicle was in the process of operating hotter than normal. This also was not able to be properly evaluated after two visits and required a visit to Toyota of El Cajon in order to be properly repaired.
The most recent time that I visited Firestone was on Friday, September 4, 2015. There the specialist AC mechanic diagnosed a removal and replacement of the AC fan clutch. This was performed, and still the AC works sporadically and additionally, the check engine light began to light up after Firestone’s repair of my vehicle.
Additionally, I believe for each time that I have had my car diagnosed, Firestone has charged me for the AC diagnostic of $ 39.99 and then applied a $ 30 credit. A $ 9.99 credit for a failed diagnostic of the vehicle.
I went to Firestone and set up an appointment for tomorrow morning. Granted, this is an old car with plenty of miles, but the maintenance has been habitually performed by Firestone mechanics as can be determined by your records.
The truck is the last present my parents gave to me prior to passing, so the vehicle has not been replaced due to sentimental reasons. Since Firestone has been unable to properly repair and diagnose: 1) cause for overheating (repair was removal and replacement of fan clutch and radiator) and 2) the air conditioning system I am tempted to remove my vehicle and all other corporate vehicles from this account.

Overall a great experience, Kudos to John for suggesting and handling the calls and paperwork on getting me approved for my very first credit card. At 55 years old that’s the only credit card I’ve ever had, eliminating any worries I had about paying my bill. Thank You John for going above and beyond your regular duties. I was kept informed at all times the status of my car and never felt pressured to authorize other recommended work. I will definitely return here for any future service.

Great first time experience. Came in for a lifetime alignment service on my 350z. I was told to take my car here because my car is lowered and they have an in ground alignment rack at this Firestone location, so I set an appointment on a Sunday morning. The guy at the counter and the alignment tech Ian were fast, knowledgeable and professional. I have custom suspension on my car but the alignment tech knew what to do and got me squared away in less than 1 hour. If you are looking for an good alignment shop where the tech knows what he is doing, go here, you will not be disappointed. Will be coming back again in the future for an oil change and alignment when I need it. I’ve found my alignment place.

I set up an appointment the day before to have new tires and an alignment done. I was told the tires had to be brought in from another store in San Diego and I also told them I’d be waiting at the store until it was done. I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment on Saturday morning and Tiffany got me started. My car sat for an hour and a half before it moved, after Tiffany realized it and took it back herself. When it came down to it, only two of my tires were on hand. It took even longer after that before my car was done.
On top of the 10% off for using my new Firestone account, I was «taken care» of by a very courteous staff. For that, I left somewhat pleased but I do offer some advice.
Don’t offer appointments if you can’t be more timely with them. This is my first visit to Firestone after numerous purchases with Discount Tire and once with Evans. I’ve never seen a waiting customer’s car sit for more than an hour when an appointment was made. I would never have imagined waiting four hours for new tires WITH AN APPOINTMENT.

To follow up on my last review, I was contacted that same day by BF Social Media, an organization representing Firestone. They asked for a complete breakdown of what happened and I provided it to them. They went on to tell me that a District representative would be in touch with me within 24 – 48 hours. It never happened. I let BF know and they apologize profusely on Firestone’s behalf, stating they would bump this up to the next level of management for a 24 – 48 hour response time. Again, that magic number and no action what so ever on Firestone’s part. The last email from BF guaranteed that the highest level of management would be in touch within…24−48 hours. That period has come and gone and no one from Firestone has made any effort to contact me.
My view, once the money is in hand, the customer is no longer important. I’ll stick with Discount Tire from now on, regardless of the difference in price!

I have come to this store 3 times to get oil changes and on all 3 visits I had bad experiences. My 1^st visit, I when I got my car back, I noticed that my air filter had been tampered with. The air filter box was opened and they didn’t close it back. I called to let them know to please be more careful next time. The guy that answered the phone got defensive and told me that they don’t touch the air filters when doing oil changes. Although they checked everything else under the hood. So whatever. I wasn’t going to argue with the guy about it. The next time I went, when they called me that my car was ready, I told the guy that I’ll be picking it up in the next hour or 2. He said ok. When I got there, he told me that my starter was bad and they left my car on so that it wouldn’t stall on me when I picked it up. I wish he would have told me that over the phone when I told him that I would be picking it up in about 2 hours. I would have gone sooner. They left my car running for over an hour. With gas prices being what they are these days, that wasn’t cool. Then he tried to sell me a starter. He quoted me at around $ 450. That was a ridiculous price. I don’t know how much he was charging for the part and how much for labor but it’s a basic part and it doesn’t take long to replace it. I declined it and drove straight to Auto Zone and bought the part for $ 75. And I went to my dad’s house so he can help me install the part. We did it in 20 minutes. My 3^rd and final visit, they had my car for an hour then a lady called me and told me that they couldn’t do the oil change because the drain plug had been stripped by whoever did the last oil change. I told her that they did the last 2 oil changes. So she said, No, whoever did the oil change before I started bringing the car to them. That does not make sense at all. They would have found that issue the 1^st time I brought it to them if it was someone else. Then she told me that they can only do the oil change if I buy from them an entire oil pan. She wasn’t trying to sell me the drain plug. She wanted me to buy the entire oil pan. I had finally had enough with this place. I just picked up my car and went to the place across the street and they did the oil change in 15 minutes with no problems. I do not feel good coming to this place anymore. I’ll just be taking my car to that other place instead from now on.

So far so good. Took my wife prius here few wks back for lifetime alignment since they had promo. Will be heading back after I get rotation @ discount tires to see if everything g is proper specs. Thr customers is up to par. Waited 45 mins from start to finished… not bad for Sat morning.

I’ve been here twice now and had a good experience both times. First time I got a tire rotation and the second time I got a water pump replaced. All the employees were very friendly and I left satisfied both times I’ve come in. I’ll be back for an oil change.

I’ve been a firestone customer ever since I got my license in 2011. I must say that this is by far the most friendliest location. The manager helping me was more than helpful when it came to the questions I had. What was great was the fact that he even offered to have the actual alignment tech work on my car, although he wasn’t available at the time, offering his services was good. According to the manager, they can do any alignment specs as I desire as long as it takes under an hour. Thad the first time I ever heard that. The Firestone in National City, told me otherwise. According to the staff there, I was told my lifetime warranty was «void» due to having after market shocks (Coilovers) and that I had to go somewhere else i. e recommending this Santee location. Long story short, I had a great experience here, despite other people’s reviews. I will definitely be back.

I took My 2008 VW Beetle to have the Headlight bulbs changed since the one on the drivers side had started to dim. I spoke to Chris about using the bulbs I had bought at Autozone and he said they could install them for a $ 85.00 charge. Took my car in and I had a $ 20.00 off coupon for an oil change, and guess what, my oil change just happened to go up $ 20.00. It has always been $ 70.00. But that is not the real problem here.
When I picked my car up I did not check to see if the head lights worked. When I got home I relized they did not. I called back in and spoke to Raymond the manager who said I had no recource since they had installed my parts and maybe the bulbs were bad. And he had personnaly helped install them and had checked them and they were working.
To make a long story short I took my Bug to VW of El Cajon. They said the bulbs had not even been installed properly and that is why they did not work. So Raymond lied to me that he had checked them. They could not of worked they way they had installed them. So they reinstalled them and I now have 2 working head lights. Cost me another $ 160.00.
Do not go to Santee Firestone. Raymond is so degrading to women. Something he doesn’t relize is that we own cars and credit cards. And can make decisions. Lots of other places to go to.

Raymond was courteous & extremely helpful! He took his time to explain my options, knowing my budget limitations. You know I’ll be back for all of my auto repairs!

With the mixed Unilocal reviews I was hesitant to give Firestone my business. I gave them a chance anyways. I made an appointment for an Alignment which I desperately need. I am not a big fan of any place that sells tires because it’s like walking in a used car lot and the sales guys are cheesy. True for this place too! I am in desperate need of tires and Firestone did not push me or try to sway me just gave me a quote on tires. The discount for the 4 tires did not beat their competitors. Sorry Firestone you will not be getting my business on new tires.
I will not return to this Firestone for an Alignment I will be giving my business to Evans.

Great service! They really help me with all my car problems. I have three vehicles and been bringing them all to this shop for about 8 years now. They always fix it right the first time and are very knowledgeable. And they don’t sell me stuff I don’t need. One time I thought I needed brakes but they called me and said I didn’t need them and I didn’t have to pay a thing since they have free brake inspections.
May not be the fastest shop in town but they do quality work and you can’t rush quality. One suggestion though is make an appointment. They sometimes get very busy, but if you have an appointment then they take you right in and get it done as quick as possible. And they will drive you home if your car may be there all day so you aren’t stranded there waiting for it to be finished.
Very nice showroom since they had it remodeled last year. And the shop and technicians are very clean as well. I don’t get the feeling that my car will be covered in grease and hand prints when its given back to me.
Can’t say enough great things about this Firestone. Recommend it to all my friends and family

So. freakin’. pissed.
Hubby and I went to Firestone today for standard oil change and tire rotation. They were busy. No biggie, we made an appointment to come back in a few hours. After lunch and shopping, we walked over to see if they were finished and our car was sitting outside, unmoved and not worked on. At closing time we had still not received a call letting us know our car was finished (hubby gave them two numbers). We drove over and it was a ghost town… our car was locked inside. *sad face* I am not happy about our appointment not being honored, our car being held captive, AND the lack of communication/​courtesy. We won’t be back.

This place was pretty good considering its a car repair shop. I feel like most places are super dirty with dirty workers and I just feel the slim dripping from they’re hair. This place was different. They had a large showroom in the front that was VERY clean for a repair shop. They had a TV on with direct TV in its own corner with plenty of seating. They had coffee and ice water.
The oil change and tire rotation took slightly over 2 hours so I would recommend dropping it off and coming back. With all do respect though, I didn’t have an appointment and thats the time they told me it would be ready and it was pretty much spot on. The prices were good. You have to pay extra for a tire rotation which I thought was weird but the grand total was in the same ball park as most other places. They did try to upsell but hey, thats how they make money. There were polite about it which I liked. Instead of just telling me over the counter what was wrong and what I needed, they actually took me in the back and walked me to my truck and showed me exactly what they were talking about. I appriciate the extra effort. They guy behind the counter was very friendly as well.

The technicians at this Firestone are helpful and friendly. They work quickly and provide good service. The staff actively tries to find the best deal for you.
