Wow everything was so overpriced! Even at 50% off. Items dirty warped and damaged. Too expensive!

The whole store smelled like a fish market. $ 1200 for a busted leather chair, $ 80 dollars for a purse stained so bad I couldn’t discern its original color. Anywhere but here.

Stopped in yesterday and found a few t shirts. The prices were super low as they were having a 50−75% off sale. I will definitely be coming back!

Great selection of books here. I’ve also found a lot of really good outdoors/​hiking clothes for guys here, everything from Patagonia and North Face to Nike and Under Armour. Almost always pay less than the sticker price too. Can be tough to dig through, but it’s worth your time!

They have specials all the time! Great prices on furniture that you can refurbish and sell. They have a botique section of higher end clothing ect… Staff are do nice and Alan is so helpful! You have hit and miss days but every day you shop remember they give a free book for kids! They do not have fitting rooms but returns or exchanges are simple. Treasure hunting!

Love this place… mainly when it’s 75% off Mondays. I have gotten many beautiful dresses, jackets and tops. This is my go-​to for guilt-​free retail therapy. I’ve gotten numerous compliments on items I’ve found here. Love to brag about how little it cost. The staff is quirky but they keep the place running.
No dressing rooms is sucky, but I was told by an employee they had to get rid of them because people would defecate in them. It is plausible. If you’re a chick, you can easily try on clothing with a skirt and tank top. It is a little embarrassing if you happen to try something a size or two too small in front of fellow customers, but you just wriggle your way out of it and shrug it off. Fun place nonetheless.

90% of my wardrobe is from SA and this is a fact that I have embraced.
Come on Mondays and Tuesdays when everything 10 days or older is 75% off.
Some of my favorite clothes in my wardrobe I scored for under a dollar here and get compliments on every time I wear them!
The parking lot is okay-​sized, but my major beef is with the fact there’s no dressing room. I’m the kind of person who HAS to try something on before I buy it, so sometimes I improvise (trying things on over my clothes, trying pants on under my skirt, etc) publicly and it’s pretty embarrassing. PLEASE bring back the dressing rooms! There’s more than enough space to add them.

This place is horrible. I would give it zero stars if it let me! I had tags still on 8 tops I bought & had my receipt & they wouldn’t help me. So I just lost $ 40 because they don’t have a dressing room to try on anything. The employee said i could return when i purchased as long as i had my receipt and tags still on They wouldn’t do ANYTHING for me. I donate my son’s grown out of clothes to this place & they treat you like crap. NEVER shop @ this Salvation Army again, I’ll go to goodwill instead, Lance was his name & they can thank him for my lost business.

Shop here all the time. Enjoy greetings from Gladys and Mary. Today must have been a bad day for the manager. I returned some jeans within the 7 day period because it did not fit (no dressing room available). He told me that I could only exchange them for another pair of jeans. I told him I was not aware of this policy. He became frustrated and told I should have read the back of the tag. He took my other items and said these are worth your 5.00 credit (he took 3 of the 5 items, 3 were purple items 50% off which equaled to 3.50 with the discount). The other two items was a small rug and carpet pad which suppose to be 30% off. Well he said it was 7.00 and rang it up before I could say anything. Walk away to another customer and didn’t bother to give me a receipt. There were several people in line and I did not want to make a fuss. I did call them when I arrived home to see if I could pick up my receipt and they put me on hold and never returned. Just a bad experience. I donate to this charity and will continue.)0:

Even though it is marked you ‘usually’ get it for less!
I follow my wife to thrift stores (why not) and look for a few things of my own.
The BEST deal I ever got in a thrift store was right here. I found a good looking 8.5″ pan for $ 5 and it was 50% off that day. It turns out to be an ‘antique’ never used solid copper pan!!!
If new… $ 300!

My favorite thrift store yet. Each time I have been in here, they have had a 50% sale going on with an additional 25% off items dated 10 days or older. The employees are helpful and are always organizing the place; I don’t think it’s fair to rate low for organization because it seems to be the customers always placing things down in random areas. Will definitely be returning here soon!

VERRRYYY large store, good-​sized parking lot, friendly staff, mediocre merchandise.
I’ve only gone to this location twice. and both times were because there was a 50% off storewide sale going on. Don’t get me wrong, the store definitely carries some great items, but I would have to say the majority is average. So if you want to find some good stuff, just be prepared to look, because they do have A LOT of merchandise. Not only is their store very big, but most of it is filled with clothes. so if that’s what you’re looking for, by all means come here. But if you’re looking for furniture, houseware, etc., I wouldn’t recommend it.
On my recent visit I did get a small handful of quality clothes, but I would say my favorite finds of the day were these gorgeous, sparkly, gold heels — originally $ 3 (ridiculously cheap already), but got for $ 1.50 because of the 50% off sale; and also a couple of really cute waist belts — both originally $ 3 each as well, so ended up paying $ 1.50 each for them. Also, of the same visit my sister found a great, black, Sarah Jessica Parker trench coat in really good condition — originally $ 20, so she paid $ 10 for it.
Oh yeah, and the first time I came to this store during their 50% off sale, they had free donuts and water bottles for customers! It was amazing! :) And their staff is super friendly and they play great music.

I’m a big fan of this location. They always have great deals. Anything 10 days or older is 75% OFF and everytime I’ve been in (always a Monday) the rest of the store is half off! One time I came in and all the newer items were only 25% off but even then, it’s better than a lot of other thrift stores around. I don’t think I’ve ever left empty handed. Prices are cheeeaapp and if you find something that’s oddly overpriced for a thrift store… be sure to ask for what the discount it. Chances are, it’ll be deeply discounted. Lance and the rest of the staff are always helpful and efficient.

They do not have curtains. The Unilocal search lists this store in a simple search for «Curtains». This is wrong. Other than not having what I needed, they have an average to below average selection of household goods, furniture and décor. It took about 20 minutes of wandering around to find someone to ask my question as the one cashier was swamped with a growing line of customers.

I love this place. I have never bought anything here, but I donate items here all the time. They collect on Sundays! How cool is that. That is usually the day I am cleaning the garage or the house and need to drop off some stuff.
The folks at the drop-​off site are always friendly and accommodating.

Recently remodeled, employees seem happy and prices are reasonable!

I hate change, especially if it’s not a good one. Last time I visited this thrift store they had more of a selection of clothes, better specials and a dressing room to try everything on. Why did they have to take out the dressing room? It was only a metal rod and a curtain with velcro to close. Very frustrating trying on all the stuff I had in my cart in front of all those people shopping. Very embarrassing! Well, if they saw me in my bra top they got a good show today.
I found a few things which was a miracle in itself considering how much they’ve taken out of the store. I was looking for a nice dress jacket too and they took out that whole side (the newer/​nicer items) and only left a small rack to look through. Also everything was $ 1.50 last few times I’ve come on a Wednesday (even clothes that were expensive to begin with like 20 – 50 dollars and up).
So glad the 50 dollar jacket didn’t appeal to me today or fit me for that matter. Luckily the few things I got were 6 dollars each and I DID find a jacket thank goodness so not a wasted trip entirely.

It’s true that this Salvation Army is pretty disorganized, but personally I think that it makes good finds seem much more special. The prices here are moderate; I found that their shoes are especially inexpensive and they usually have big sales on weekends (if you’re there early).
The employees here are really friendly, which is awesome. One day I was there looking through records and one of the employees came up and started going through them with me, recommending a few that he liked.
When I go to this Salvation Army I usually end up filling my cart up with clothes/​bags/​whatever and have never spent over $ 50. This SA is worth the trip out to Santee!

After spending time in the Goodwill stores, I was a little put-​off by the disorganization of this shop. That being said, they did have really cheap stuff and a lot of it, you just need the patience to maneuver the tightly-​packed racks.
There was a lot of junk along the walls, but the furniture was all decent as well as decently priced.
I prefer Goodwill stores for everything else, but I’ll come back here if I’m looking for furniture.
