History

Established in 2012.

Tech It Easy was borne out of a desire to provide excellent customer service in an industry that can, at times, greatly lack it. Founder and Owner, Brett Dallinger, has always had a passion for helping people to not be victims of their technology. With deep technical and experiential knowledge of home and small office IT, Tech It Easy strives to exceed every client’s expectations.

Business Owner

Born and raised in the Los Angeles area, Brett has been taking apart computers since he was a boy. He started out as a computer tech/​tutor in high school, repairing computers for schoolmates and their families and tutoring younger children on various software platforms. In his professional life, Brett has worked for Bolthouse Productions and sbe Entertainment Group, the award-​winning hospitality, real estate and entertainment destinations company. After six years in the industry honing his customer service skills, Brett returned to school and earned a degree in audio engineering from the LA Recording School and became one of the founders of Inner Circle Sound, a sound mixing/​design and music production company. With his strong background in technology and customer service, Brett decided to get back to his roots and found Tech It Easy in an effort to ease the technological suffering many of us face on a near daily basis. Nothing is more rewarding to Brett than a client’s sigh of relief.

Took my Dell All-​in-​One to Tech It Easy because it was having some issues (freezing a lot, Blue Screen errors). A week later Brett let me know that he found the problem and was very honest with me and said he doesn’t think it’s worth investing the money to repair (as the same problem would reoccur). Definitely sucks but I greatly appreciated his honesty. He also did not charge me for diagnosing the problem. Other repair shops might have suggested doing the repair anyways, simply for the business. Overall a great experience and trustworthy people. I would definitely take any other electronics there in the future should I need to.

Brett is quite a find in this day and age — an honest tradesman who goes above and beyond to give exemplary customer service — he has twice brought back to life our family 24″ iMac, and the first time he basically charged us $ 0 for his labor (only for the parts) because he only found out that the power supply was DOA after he had already prepared an initial estimate — so what? Who does that!!! Brett does apparently! He has my highest recommendation!
(PS he recently replaced a fried HD for us — please just look up how involved replacing a HD in that Mac is! If I told you how little he had charged me, you would probably think that I had mugged him for the extra money!)

Awesome.
Brett returned my call within 30 minutes. He said we could solve my problem over the phone. It took under 15 minutes and he charges in 15 minute increments when working over the phone. Another company insisted they’d need to come out in person charging an hourly rate.

I wish my iMac wasn’t working all the time so I could have Brett help me. I’ve been going absolutely bonkers trying to figure out how to connect my Airport Express to my iMac through Towerstream using a Static IP address. Spent hours on the phone with my internet provider and Mac support trying to troubleshoot the issue BUT no luck! Brett came right in with his magical hands and BAM it’s done! I couldn’t have asked for a better IT man! Highly recommend this guy for all your computer needs! Not your typical IT man. He was fast, efficient, professional, personable and easy on the eyes unlike other IT men out there! If I could give him 1,000 stars I would! Thank you Brett for all your help! You are one in a million.

Computer dies on me Thursday night, googled Computer Repair in 90 292 and happy I went with Brett. Basis for my decision were his Unilocal reviews and he surpassed all of them! Called him Friday around lunch, he was at my house at 4. He was really honest with me — told me that he could repair my computer but would cost a lot more than getting a new computer. 3 hours later he had me set up with a brand new computer with all my old folders, information, etc. He even went out and got the new compute for me. Talk about excellent customer service!
Will be referring him to all my friends and family in the future.
PS — as a fellow small business owner we started talking about the utilization of Unilocal to attract business, he gave me some great tips and advice. Excellent experience all around

Can’t say enough good things about Brett! To sum it up: personable, professional, efficient, and affordable. I was getting the dreaded white screen of death! Brett pinpointed the issue, upgraded my RAM and had my logic board repaired and installed … all at an affordable rate. I was already thinking of getting a new MacBook Pro.
I was very pleased when I got it back. Blazing fast with additional programs that I never knew I absolutely needed. Thanks Brett and you really did «put your heart and soul» into this one.

Brett is amazing!!! I can’t rave enough! He has bailed me out of the messes I seem to download on my computer now twice. The first time he came right to me. He whipped my computer into shape in no-​time and downloaded a program on it so I could give him a code to see my screen if I ever needed his help remotely. And thank god he did. I’m definitely spreading the word to everyone I know and he’s forever my go-​to computer guy. So, give this guy a ring. You’re in great hands.

I called the owner Brett looking for someone to help me with a simple jam with my CD drive. He picked up the phone and responded immediately. He gave me an immediate appointment at a location close to me within 30 mins! He was extremely helpful, professional and very knowledgeable. Bret is the best!!! Super efficient and professional! He made my computer problems a breeze. Now a days it’s so hard to find good quality people that won’t rip you off or do the total opposite of what you ask them to do.
Tech it easy gets the job done and in no time, my computers are ready to work like new again! Can’t thank Bret enough for making my life that much easier and fixing two of my computers I was ready to throw in the trash! Will def be returning for any other computer issues I may have in the future.

This wasn’t the first time and certainly won’t be the last time Brett saved me from computer disaster! He has recovered hard drive information I was convinced was gone forever, walked me through a kernel panic, fixed my parents’ janky old PC and more. It’s so nice knowing that he is always there and happy to help when things go awry.
I spent far too much time going down to the Mac Genius Bar only to have them not solve my issue, or having to return for the same issue repeatedly. I would much, much rather spend my time with Brett, which results in not only a more pleasant experience but also a fixed computer! The best part is he manages to keep a straight face and not make me feel like a complete idiot when it turns out it’s an easy fix (well, you just need a new battery).

I had Brett do a rather extensive upgrade to my 4 year-​old MacBook Pro. This wasn’t a «life-​saver» experience but a pretty tricky operation. Not only did he he do it overnight but at a very reasonable price. My machine is running better than ever and I expect to get several more years out of this computer. And he’s a really nice guy! I highly recommend Brett.

Brett is amazing. Seriously.
It was late on a Friday night & our company’s MAC wasn’t running. He came out right away (due to our emergency) & fixed the computer within a hour. Without him we wouldn’t have been able to conduct business the next day & Saturday is our busiest day!
This guy was unbelievably accommodating, very efficient & absolutely brilliant. I don’t know what we would have done without him pulling through.

Brett is amazing! He totally saved me! I had uploaded a bunch of photos of my son from my phone and as soon as I had erased them from the phone my iPhoto crashed and they disappeared completely. Needless to say I was upset. Brett managed to find them and replace them onto iPhoto and taught me a bunch of stuff about my computer to help me get it to run better to boot! Thank you!
