I really wanted to like this place. The lady at the front is very nice and friendly. The floor looked beyond dirty but I figured maybe it was because it was close to closing time. The food wasn’t bad so we decided to give it another try. We went there once more and this time I was beyond turned off. I am not a fan of fish or seafood in general and literally all the food we ordered($ 55 worth of food) had the taste of fish in it which tells me they are lazy and are not cleaning their pots and pans enough. We ordered the following items, Brocolli Beef, Bell Pepper Beef, chow mein, chicken fried rice, etc. Nothing had seafood in it except for maybe the Brocolli Beef because of oyster sauce but this was a different taste. My fiancé who likes seafood was disgusted as well and therefore we had to cross them off our list.

Ordered Mongolian beef, two pork chow mein and three egg rolls. Noodles n eggs rolls were average. They actually gave us a free Kung pao chicken which was super cool but it taste EXACTLY like the Mongolian beef bland with no sauce topped with celery??? Wow. I really wanted to like this place but.

This is my go to Chinese takeout restaurant! The food is fresh and delicious. The price is reasonable. I love the lady who manages the front of the house. She always has a ready smile for me when I pick up my order. Try the wonton vegetable soup or my favorite, vegetable tofu soup. The over rice menu is also delicious. My other favorite is the chicken wings appetizer. I think the chef uses Chinese all spice in the rub… so delicious!

Lady was friendly when I walked in, so I would like to rate higher than one but when it comes to sanitary conditions I can’t rate a restaurant higher. I used the ladies restroom and found an empty soap dispenser and a soap bottle so low on soap and hardened inside that I couldn’t convince any soap to come out. The light switch was filthy. If that’s the restroom they use, then they must not be very hygienic or sanitary. And even if they have their own restroom for workers, why isn’t this one stocked? It was empty at noon. I had to leave. It is sad to me because family restaurants are gems. And I think this is the same Lee’s Kitchen that used to be by what used to be Weinerschnizel. Was good stuff. But I lost my appetite. Sad.

I’m a decades old customer of Lee’s. I have had Chinese dishes from S.F. to Sunnyvale but NONE has ever topped the quality and customer friendliness of this establishment. The food is to be prized and pricing is not wallet-busting. It is gourmet. Fried rice is semi-dry; pot stickers are tasty; chow mien also with real sprouts; egg fu young to save for breakfast, if you can stop eating it! Be advised when you call for take-out most lunch or supper hours: «20 minutes» means just that! BETHERE.

Grease, grease, and more grease. So, if you’re a purveyor of grease, then this is your place.

Really really good food. The establishment is now bigger than it was before. I suggest the honey walnut prawns. And the fried rice is by far the best I’ve ever had.

If you’re looking for authentic Chinese food this is not the place. They do serve the classic Chinese for designed for the American pallett. Plentiful and inexpensive but I’ve had better.

When I walked into the restaurant, I was so hungry that I thought I could eat very well. Unfortunately, the pineapple chicken over rice dish is terrible. It is still on the table. I could hardly finish half of it.

Tried the general chicken and chow mein. Easily the most disappointed I have ever been with Chinese takeout. Not even on the level of Panda Express. Avoid

Americanized Chinese Food. There were plenty of customers while I was there, but none of them was Asian, and you can tell by the food. My grandmother would probably think it was great, but I have higher expectations Chinese food. The lady greeted hispanic customers in Spanish.

I’ve been going here for years. This is a staple for Santa Clara. Love their fried rice chow mien.

We come here every so often and get wonton soup, egg rolls, pot stickers, orange chicken, and egg foo young. The portions are huge and give our family left overs for days. The food is also amazing and the staff is friendly. They always remember us by sight even if we are gone for months. We recommend this place to everyone we meet. This is American Chinese food at its finest. The food here reminds my wife of the food she would get in Baltimore.

I hate to write this because I would rather support small businesses and restaurants like Lee’s… but I had a fly in my soup today. I found the first leg after having consumed half my meal already. I don’t think this needs more words. I won’t be coming back :(

The food is good and very fair price. It’s the dirtiest restaurant I’ve have ever eaten at. The tables and floors are sticky with filth. I have to get my food to go. Hard to understand why a place that serves food could be so dirty.

This place is awesome. I came here with my brother & his girlfriend & as soon as we walked in we were greeted with a smiling face. The owner? Or owners wife? In any case, she was very friendly & knew exactly what my brother & girlfriend wanted to order already. My brother ordered soup, which was large enough to share with me & his girlfriend. Total, we could make 6 bowls from the 1 big bowl she gave us. Quite an awesome deal. Then I ordered the spring rolls along with the beef rice place; my brother & girlfriend split that same dish too. I was sure they would need to order more until the food actually came out. The portions were HUGE! I was able to take home the rest & eat it 3 different times. Being that it was almost closed when we came, the service was excellent, food was served piping hot, tasted good, portions are perfect for leftovers, & employees are very nice. I’ll be coming back. Only 4 stars because I’ve only been here one time & I’d like to try more dishes from here.

My girl was in the area and asked what food I wanted from around that area. Unfortunately, not much was open at that particular time. She suggested this place and I said it seemed decent enough after doing a quick Unilocaling of it at home. Most of the reviews raved about the salt and pepper chicken wings. Sounds like terrific comfort food, so that is what I suggested she get for one of the items. She also grabbed the combination chow mein per the owner’s suggestion. You certainly can’t argue about the size of the portions here. Large indeed! Sadly, quality was no where to be found. I’ve never been to Panda Express or any of those fast food Chinese places, but I would imagine the food here to be pretty similar. Could be worse actually. Greasy beyond belief! The noodles were okay and I’d rate them as a little below average. The kind of generic stuff you’d find at an Asian family potluck. There wasn’t a ton of meat in there and the vegetables weren’t especially fresh either. Still, what do you expect at these prices? As for the hyped about chicken wings, what a major letdown! Tasted like something you would grab from a hot line at a supermarket. Way, way too salty and you could taste too much of the rancid oil in the chicken. Terribly executed and will leave you feeling weighed down. I’m sure a lot of people who don’t have a picky palate for Asian food will find this more than suitable, but I grew up on this stuff, so it just doesn’t do it for me. This place is a decent stop… if everything else in the area is closed.

There’s a lot of little shops around here and not too many visible street numbers, so I’ll try to describe the location the best I can. It’s located in the shopping center that’s northeast of the El Camino Real/Kiely/Bowers intersection. It’s in between the Hanmi bank and the Petco. I ordered takeout on Superbowl Sunday and the place was nearly empty. Out of about 10 tables, there was one full table, a couple of people sitting in the corner that looked like they were waiting for take-out. They said it would take 15 – 20 minutes, and it was right about 20 minutes. I paid a grand total of $ 21.20(plus a dollar tip, I don’t know why) and took the food home. We had ordered BBQ pork fried rice, sweet and sour pork, and lemon chicken. I don’t know if they typically give a side of rice with dishes, but we didn’t get any white or brown rice. My husband and I didn’t mind, we don’t normally don’t eat too much rice with our entrees anyway. I guess if you do like rice, ask for it in advance. I liked the BBQ pork fried rice best. It had a really good flavor, and the little pork bits were nice and tender. The lemon chicken and sweet and sour pork both suffered from way too much pineapple. I think there was more pineapple than any other ingredient. The lemon chicken turned out okay, though it didn’t really seem like the veggies in it were cooked at all. The carrots and bell peppers were pretty good, I like them crisp, but I know not everyone does. Neither my husband or I really liked the sweet and sour pork. It tasted strangely like seafood. I’m not sure, but I think maybe they fried it up in the same fryer with some sort of shrimp? It was very bizarre. The veggies included onions and celery, again pretty crisp, and my husband really doesn’t like celery. I don’t think we’d get it again if it’s going to taste like seafood. The food was really cheap, so I wasn’t expecting it to be the best Chinese ever. I wanted cheap, Americanized Chinese and that’s what I got. Maybe their«Chinese» Chinese food is better. I’ll have to try it sometime, with as cheap and close as it is, I figure it makes a decent take-out place.
