I live a few streets over and have been coming here for years. The food is so well-prepared and everyone who has it goes back. Pork chow mein, wonton soup, chicken salad, deep fried prawns, original sweet and sour pork which is in a brown sauce and so good – all the best.

So glad that I live ear this place! Been living here for 3 years now and order from there frequently. Everything is good. Not too oily, and always fresh! I especially like their beef fried rice, it’s a meal in itself!

Been going to this place for years! I love it so much. I recommend the hot and sour soup, cashew chicken and the potstickers. All are my go too! Just thinking about it makes my mouth water!

I have lived here for almost six months and this is the only Chinese food I’ve found that I like. The food is always hot, not greasy and fresh all the way down to the fortune cookies. We had take out from there tonight. Mu Shu pork, chicken fried rice, chicken wings and fried won tons. All very good and hot. Have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. I’m sure we will return soon. We returned tonight. Same great food and service. This time I had orange beef and it was great.

We love this place and it has good tasting food. Today, I over heard that China Delight will close to build 12 condos and next door the Mariposa Shopping Center will close to build new luxury apartments, business and retail space. Not sure of the date, but I hope it doesn’t. She has good food. Has anyone else heard this?

My go to Chinese Resturant here in Santa Clara. They have great service and food is always consistently tastes! My usual order is sweet and sour chicken(chefs special), sizzling rice soup, egg rolls, white rice, bean curd with veggies, and Three delight pan fry noodle. Every time we go they serve us some great Oolong tea which has the greatest flavor. Owners and staff always have a great attitude and they’re even excellent when you order to go. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who lives or visiting he area. I’ve tried other places here on homestead and on el Camilo and have had nothing but gross food and bad service, save yourself the trouble and come here!!!

Not very impressed at all, especially since Santa Clara is a Mecca for decent ethnic food. So here goes, mind you this was for all take out: I ordered their main go to dish, Chicken with Orange Peel. It was pretty flavorful with orange but not too overly sweet which was nice. Just a step above Panda Express. Next was combo fried rice. I will give them credit on the shrimp, seemed like there was more shrimp than the two pieces of beef, chicken, and pork which was in there. Last was Three Delight Pan Fried Noodle. They literally burnt the chow mien noodles on a Dutch skillet and had the pre made gravy with meat, shrimp, and veggies swimming at the bottom. I thought I’d give the noodles a try since I never heard of anything like that before… I guess I know why now. So overall, I would say unless there is a holocaust, avoid this establishment at all costs!

This place is across the street from my apartment. Usually my wife calls on the way home and orders her favorite. It is ready when we get there. The food is awesome. The place is clean. The staff is wonderful. Now they have another place and I miss Lisa, because she is often over there.

I have eaten here many times over the years with mixed results. Very hit and miss for me. I finally have to write a review after this last visit. I just got an order of won ton soup, combo fried rice and chicken salad for take out. The won ton soup was very bland and somewhat flavorless(compare to Lee’s Kitchen, their Won ton soup blows away this place!) The rice was greasy and somewhat plain, lots of meat but virtually no eggs and zero veggies. I found myself spitting out chewy pieces of fatty meat that I just couldn’t bring myself to swallow. The chicken salad is ok but overdressed with lots of dressing. It’s typical iceberg lettuce chopped up with the regular ingredients, nothing special. I have had the Lemmon chicken and orange chicken before and remember they were ok. Those 3 dishes and 2 cans of soda cost me $ 32! Not my idea of value! I’d rather spend $ 20 at Panda Express for the 2 of us and enjoy a better experience. Too many chances, I will never waste my money here again!

I absolutely loved this place! I don’t like very many Chinese food chains, but this one takes the win 8) I really liked the orange chicken, the sweet and sour chicken and the honey walnut prawns. I would really like to order from here again!

As you can see most of the picture of the food is from yours truly. I love this place. No other Chinese food can compare to them. Not to mention the fast service.

It’s the«Blue Sky*(Campbell, now down hill since Shirley sold it), of Santa Clara! They have a ton of Hong Kong style American dressed entries that you like if American in many old school Chinese food restaurants around the US! You know, the tasty laced with salt and sauces filled with sugar you, I am Santa all love! They are affordable. The chicken and beef pipe-pin hot dishes are classic and good! It really is an old school 60’s-70’s kind of vibe older folk will like. I can sense this place has tons of regulars as well! The wonton was ok but the beef dishes are best!

Best Chinese food around and Im a snob when it comes to Chinese food. I also used to live about a mile away but moved to south san jose so my drive is about 20 min and still frequent this joint. All the food comes out quick and HOT and never disappoints. Lunch special are very reasonably priced and you can easily get in an out during your lunch time. Pros: Lemon Chicken, Egg rolls, Mongolian Beef, WonTon Soup, Chow Mein, Cashew Chicken, plenty of parking, Quality Chinese Food, Great Service. Cons: Small bathroom outside for one but not a deal breaker for me. Great Family Style Chinese food that you have to try at least once. You cant go wrong here!

The experience in this restaurant has been declining steadily for several years. Today, a couple in my group asked to have steamed veggies subbed for the white rice. We were told there would be a «slight charge,» but the charge ended up being $ 4 – over 50% of the cost of the lunch specials that were ordered. They used to substitute brown rice for white for 75 cents; now to sub brown rice, fried rice, or chow mien is $ 1.95! Finally, the portion of soup that comes with the lunches has diminished from about 8 oz. to about 3 oz. I thought the bowl it came in looked like a tea cup without a handle! The owner’s greed has gotten away from her. The group I dined with vowed not to return. Next time it’s 4−5−6 restaurant on Pruneridge – better food & better value.

I’ve had food from here twice now and each time the food was great. The first time, my coworker ordered dishes to go. I was surprised that each food container was full of just that item. It was definitely a family style meal. Regardless I couldn’t complain because the food was good. The second time I had it, we are inside. It was nice that the lunch specials included rice or chow mein with the dish. Also you get soup if you eat there as well. I had the kung pao chicken and I thought it was good. I felt it could have been just a tiny bit spicier but that’s just my preference. They did have huge red peppers in my dish but I didn’t want to try to bite into one of those. The waiters were friendly and very attentive but it may have also been the fact that we were a large party and there weren’t many other people there. Anyways, I would come back here!

I have lived in Santa Clara since the 80’s to mid 90’s before my wife and I moved to San Jose. This restaurant has been here since that time and is still here. So Unilocalers and those that are searching if you see this post believe me when I say Its a small restaurant but the food is so good! Look don’t be fooled by the exterior or the interior. I know most people/Yelpers like to see/view fancy, shamancy, stuff and post glamorous pictures and do the Unilocal talk, but there are a few«Diamond in the Rough» places and I think this is what makes these type restaurants or other similar establishments stay in business for a such a long time. One example… Stan’s Donuts in Santa Clara! Many Santa Clara residents south of El Camino usually order to go/take out. We were here for a small B-day gathering about 30 people including kids and my friend husband ordered almost every dish on the menu. Each dished placed came out very quickly and hot. These guys didn’t mess around as by the time we all had chance to get our share of the food onto our plate the next dish came out, then the next one, and that one, and that one and by the time you set your fork in to your plate the next dish came out. The Cooks/Chefs are like a moving production conveyor belt. The food just kept coming and coming! Even the To Go/Take Out is fast as well. As I sat and observed the area and incoming customer’s I noticed 4 people/patrons ordered to go but didn’t wait more than 10 – 15 minutes and each had least 5 – 6 items. So you know these guys can multi-task cooking and the flow of incoming orders. For the Genre of Chinese Food, in my opinion ranks as one of the best small Mom/Pop Type Restaurants. It’s not Michelin Star rated but then again am I basing my standards by the Flock of Zombie Sheeps that just follows everyone in stride or am I with the pack of Wolves that knows good dining in disguise? Enjoy…

I really like China Delight, but I’ve only ever been here for the lunch experience. The best part about this restaurant is the lack of a crowd. Most people who come here tend to get take out, but the restaurant looks to be geared to a sit-down crowd. Fortunately, with everyone opting for take out, there is always plenty of parking and never a wait for a table inside. The food here is delicious, and the prices on the lunch menu are excellent. I love the option of substituting for fried rice or chow mein(although you have to pay an extra fee). I usually order the honey walnut prawns, which taste pretty similar to the ones I would get at the other Chinese restaurant I frequent, Tao Tao in Sunnyvale. I get this with fried rice, which I love. Even devoid of vegetables, it’s still very good! I’m not the biggest fan of the cup of soup that comes with your meal, but it’s free. The service isn’t 100% awesome, but it’s usually 1 – 2 people working the floor in there. You might have to ask for refills rather than be offered, but hey — food comes fast and the service is efficient at their tasks. I’m hoping I get to try this place out for dinner sometime, but until then, I’m happy coming here for lunch when I can!
